Ive bought all my cars through this place when the Old Man was in charge. He was a great guy and always wanted to work with you. When it came time to get another car, I wanted to turn to them, but when I tried to negotiate, offering 700 down and 700 for the first payment, was told pretty snooty No that wont work for you. No, we wont do that. My offer wasnt even considered, my circumstances werent cared about, even though I explained that we very much needed a vehicle an elderly woman could get into.My grandmother is chair bound, we have been looking for a car for months that she could get into easily, shes missed doctor appointments and dialysis and I was hoping for some compassion from the family Ive bought cars from since I started driving.Just needed a car for my grandmother, but Ill be going to the better sister for it. Clearly the business should have been given to the one with better people skills.EDIT: Because youre a liar and dont like honest reviews.Thats funny, she wasnt there when I went, and we were super courteous with Lee and the other guys in there. Checked out their Ford Focus and Pontiac Montana, was in great condition except for Milage, they are looking for other options for me and were willing to work with me in my situation.Your comments to your negative reviews are laugh worthy and embarrassing to read. The people who left you positive ones must be mistaken, and must have been dealing with someone else. Its understandable, youre not very memorable in your small human existence.How about instead of trying to sass and act like a big shot, go to therapy and learn to deal with people. Youve obviously got a complex, Ken was mistaken to leave the place to you.

My husband and I have been customers of Union Street for 20 years. Their customer service and attention to special circumstances is above and beyond fair. As with most “Buy Here Pay Here” places, their vehicles are sold “As Is” - they have always been honest about what services a vehicle needs BEFORE we sign any papers. They have even provided us with exemplary service if we made the request for maintenance on a vehicle we are purchasing. I would recommend, and in fact have recommended, Union Street and their staff to anyone looking for a reasonably priced vehicle. I look forward to doing future business with them - GREAT JOB GUYS! I really thought i got a great car from them this time no check engine lights on so yoohoo i wont have to work on it the frist few weeks of getting it aaa not a chance so it was the rocker arm broke now my vehicle is sitting waiting to get fixed i dont know why they keep doing this but i have little kids with me at all times i just wanted a safe vehicle

Could not ask for a better Buy Here Pay Here car lot!!! The staff is always willing to go above and beyond to help their customers and often give back to the community. They even pay their customers $50 for referrals! Cars are always clean, reliable and priced below value. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

On September 1st. I bought a vehicle from them. Paid cash. Was told they have 30 days to send title application to Indianapolis. Today is Friday the 29th. Obviously it will be over 30 days by Monday. When I called union street, the lady was rude and short with me. No explanation as to why its taking so long on their end. Only would say. We have 30 days, and its not up yet. This sends up red flags to me. I guess since the sale had been made and they have their money, they could care less. If not resolved by Monday I will have to take legal action. She could have at the very least, given me some explanation as to the hold up. Will not do business with rude people. I should have went else where. There are many car lots in Lafayette, this one I would not recommend at all, at this point.

Absolutely fantastic place. The owner is the most compassionate person. She is willing to go above and beyond to make her customers feel like family. I have purchased all of my vehicles from them, and if anything ever went wrong, they were the first ones to step up and help me get it fixed. Buying a used car doesnt come with a warranty, and so the level of professionalism and workability with these people is absolutely out of this world. This business went out of their way to help me with my car lost a tire and rim when it broke off from the axle. They absolutely went above and beyond! I am all for supporting local businesses, and shopping small. And I will always make sure that my business and loyalties lie with Union Street.

Staff is always very professional yet down to earth making the car buying headache less stressful. Never had one issue with anyone there. A nice selection of vehicles at a fair price. If you struggle getting around but perhaps dont have the credit it takes for some high interest car loan definately check their selection out. You wont regret it!

My husband Louis & I purchased an excellent minivan for a decent amount that lasted its moneys worth & then some! They work with you on payments & are understanding that circumstances occur & are more than willing to help find a solution as opposed to taking your vehicle. I have a car with them now.. there customer service is terrible... had a payment I’m sure I made vanish. I went in to speak with them about it and when I asked the lady at the desk to explain something to me she said, “oh my god, I’ll print it out and you can look at it your self”. She was so rude and arrogant, and proceeded to raise their voices at us and talk to use like we were kids, when we started raising ours we were told to leave. It was ok for them to yell at us in front of their kids but not for us. I descalated the situation because at this point I still needed to find out where my payment went. They still continued to be rude. Finally, we just said ok and left( on our own) I said yall have a good day I was ignored. I had to say it again to get common courtesy from them.Note to owner: before you reply pointing fingers at me and degrade me and my situation (because thats what You do to every customer that shares negative feedback). It’s not what you say its how you say it. We didnt come there to get anything( not even our way) we came to get a explanation on how our bill was so high. Please train yourself on how to be Humble. Customer service skill would be nice to.

Avoid this place at all costs...they sell junk vehicles that are way overpriced and refuse to give you any of your money back when they clearly sell you a vehicle that is junk. They took advantage of a very sweet older lady I know and sold her a van with no tail lights, a blown head gasket, junk wipers, bad tires and brakes, etc. Overall a vehicle that was VERY unsafe to drive and they didnt act at all surprised or even sorry when she returned it less than two weeks after getting it and telling them what was wrong with it. They would not give her any of her down payment back and I guarantee will turn around and sell that same vehicle to someone else as is and rip them off too. So to anyone thinking of going through this place DONT!!! I will tell everyone I know to stay away from them and recommend that my friend file a complaint with the BBB and any where else she can.

Ive purchased 3 vehicles from Union Street. My family and I moved here 4 years ago; I needed an extra car right away. The owner and then Manager Deniece worked to get me in a good running car for a decent price.I set up auto payments and never missed or paid late. I never had a problem with the vehicles or the staff. In fact I eventually ugraded to a better car and then eventually traded that for a even better car. I find that most people who complain, are the ones who beat the car to death and then want it fixed for free. NOTE: I am an ACTUAL former customer and do NOT in any way work for Union Street. Im just sharing my honest experience and opinion.
