Scott is the most trustworthy mechanic you could ask 4. Dont need to believe just do a price check bro. Hes the man and if he cant do it, then its time to ditch your van 🚐
Brett, the owner is a strange duck. He is knowledgeable about cars and thorough, but sneaky and unscrupulous. Be very careful if you do business with him. He is interested in the buck, and only the buck. He also has quite a few used cars for sale, and if you have a car you wish to purchase, he will find reasons for you not to buy it and then will steer you towards one of his cars (which he does give a very short guaranty). Here is a concrete example. My father, 88, has a 1991 Mercedes 300SE. This low mileage car needed a new head gasket (one of the few vulnerabilities of this wonderful workhorse engine). My father was given an estimate of $1,300 for his shop in Anaheim, but this was now too far away for a freeway reluctant senior.. Brett gave him an estimate of $16-1700. When he picked up the car he was handed a $2,400 bill for some additional work my father did not authorize. The car was probably worth $3,000 at the time. A year later my father wanted to sell it, and the buyers wanted to have it inspected by Brett. He bad-mouthed the car-the very car that 5,000 miles earlier he repaired at a cost only $400 less than the value! This is downright unscrupulous. A $16-1700 bill was passable but $3-400 more than the estimate of his long-time mechanic in Anaheim. If the car was worth far more dead than alive in Bretts eyes, why did he repair it for my father at a cost of $2,400? After the so-calledinspection today, he hinted to the buyer that he had some better cars on his lot that he would guaranty. This gave the buyer quite an uncomfortable feeling. Think conflict of interest. Please find an alternative to Canyon German since there are more reputable German mechanics in town. Or if Bretts slick and suave pitch catches you off guard, hold on to your wallet.
They are very professional and answered all my questions
Brett is a Master Mechanic Bring your European Auto here for excellent Reair & Service!!!
Brett, by far is one of the most intelligent and low key characters in the automotive business. He will never give you anything else that doesnt need to be fixed, or that doesnt need the extra maintenance. Everyone on here who is saying that he is unscrupulous must have obviously never had seen his good side or addressed him with the respect he should get for doing such good work. I have a 560 SEC Mercedes that seemed to be having valve stem seal problems, and after taking it in all that needed to be done was the head valve gasket, and the oil stopped leaking. Also he fixed my hydro -pneumatic suspension which almost any mechanic is afraid or doesnt know how to do the proper work on. If you own any older or newer car I would highly recommend taking it to Brett. He charges a 135 dollar diagnostic fee which is worth every penny; due to the fact that he WILL identify everything that MUST be fixed, or that is in somewhat shabby condition. Also the mechanics Ron and Bedie are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If your going to whine and groan about having to pay for the parts, then you obviously should not be driving a Mercedes, or any higher class car for that matter. Also brett does collision work. Also to anyone else reading the others reviews just ignore them, Ive been to every mechanic from good year to Mercedes dealerships, and Brett out beats them in price and in service. Maintain a relationship with this business and it will not disappoint you. Also in regards to the other reviews.... theres a reason why others are up in Anaheim instead of Laguna Beach, its called being a quality business with good mechanics.
If you need old school German car repairs. This is the ONLY place to go.
Good quality work
