Got my bike serviced and the staff was very courteous and professional from the moment I walked in the door. Gave their opinions on what I needed but never forced the issue or tried to upsell me. Ended up replacing a rim which they found at another location that they shipped to their store. Found some other issues while servicing the bike and kept me informed with up-to-date recommendations which I appreciate. Would definitely recommend and would go back for my biking needs.
The team at Jax Bicycle Center in Laguna Niguel were fantastic, fast, and very helpful. I came in looking for a specific bike and traveling from 90 minutes away for it. They scoured the store top to bottom to find it, service it, and get me on my way in quick order. It made my daughters graduation a fantastic and memorable event to have her bike, ready, set up and running for her weekend festivities. There are 3 bicycle shops I have used in Laguna Niguel. Bicisport, Rock and Road and Jax. Bicisport is expensive but no one knows more about European bikes. If you want a nice Italian bike, this is the place. Rock and Road, I do not like their service. I always feel they dont take me seriously, like they are cycling elitists. Jax is just right. I was so turned off, I stopped going to Rock and Road entirely. They never got a shot at selling me a new bike. So I kept stopping by Jax until this week they got a Trek Emonda SL 5 in stock that was the right size. They allowed me to put $200 (refundable) down on the bike I want and when it is available I got first dibs. The best part was they gave me a shot at two sized bikes. The manger took lots of time to let me ride two different sized bikes around the lot until I could decide. I went in two times to try them out. I am right between sizes so it took some time. He made solid recommendations and was not pushy in any way. They always offer help and often at no charge too. I feel extremely confident I made the right choice and thats important when you spending thousands. Last year, they looked at my wifes bike just before a trip because I was concerned. I walked in, they looked at it immediately, made a few adjustments and did not charge me. We were leaving the next day on a trip so I was incredibly relieved. Glad I found Jax.

He walked me through the entire process explaining and demod the limited production Artist Series Navigator Bike. Without his expertise and Knowledge in trek products, this purchase wasnt happening. I went in for a townie 7D and walked out with a Navigator Artist series. Im 100% satisfied with my purchase and will continue to purchase from Johnny in the near future. FYI bike was not even in stock, he went out of his way, located the bike, and called the warehouse to confirm stock. Once confirmed, I made the purchase and within few days I picked up the Navigator. . Great and efficient Johnny, Jax never seems to disappoint. Highly recommend speaking with Johnny with your next purchase at JaX, he deserves a raise!!!

I called with a Shimano brake kit part number, and was told they had it in stock for $35. I drove down from Costa Mesa on my lunch break too find out they did not have the model in stock and was instead given a more expensive option. I took the toll roads to get down on my break, since they have limited hours and were only open until 5. I ended up spending double what the original kit cost with taxes plus gas n toll. I was left outside while another customer was seen, without even being acknowledged right off the bat, since they only allow a few customers in at a time....not a great experience given the lack of transparency and subpar customer service. Discount on the more expensive part would have sufficed since the original was not actually in stockEDIT: They sold me the front brake kit! I needed a rear, will never shop here again

This used to be a nice shop prevCovid19. Now with maybe 1 exception, employees are way over reacting and they leave their customers waiting outside in the heat. They serve only 1 customer at a time for ridiculous fear of infection. If you happen to forget your mask (heaven forbid!) they immediately rush you outside as if you are radioactive, with no apologies or good customer service. Their prices are reasonable but their rude treatment of their clients is really insane which only equals their fear and panic. Will never go back and would not recommend anyone to shop there.
Great customer service! I had no idea their tagline was We Make People Happy! I waited in line for 20-30 minutes today to pick up a part for my bike. It was pretty straightforward. What surprised me was that the gentleman who helped me showed me how to work with the part I had! No money was spent today but you can bet Im going to Jax when Im ready to upgrade my mountain bike!!! I came to JAX looking for a TREK Dual Sport 2 (Womens). Braxton went above and beyond to help me locate and transfer the bike to the Alicia store within 24 hours. JAX was helpful with getting the appropriate accessories and fitting me for a helmet. Will definitely be back.
What bad timing to get a flat on prime riding time, Saturday morning! If you find your self w a flat w no resources to fix and in the Laguna Niguel area come to Jax’s in Laguna Niguel! The manager David was great, knowing my rig was not a Trek brand but confident that he could fix my custom build Evil, he reassured me that my bike would be in great hands. Nick my service technician was there to help me fix it w quick turn around to get me back on the trails! Nick was so helpful and very knowledgeable! Fixed my tubeless all while educating me and giving me some helpful tips and tricks as he was fixing my rig! I have a custom rig and spent a few pennies on it so I didnt want to bring it to just any shop nor any technician but I trusted Nick w mine and will definitely come back to use his services to maintain my ride in the future! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this shop and NICK as the service technician!

The guy who helped me, forgive me for not knowing his name, helped me find a helmet, talked to me about a couple options for a new bike moving forward, and a few places to look at locally for biking and off-roading in my jeep. Wow! What an amazing bike shop. We went somewhere else in laguna and were not impressed. This bike shop is impressive. The first time a tune up was 10$ with only a few part costs... you are told what you need and not sold into extra parts or costs. For an amateur rider like myself I cannot tell you how much I appreciated them doing the work needed to get the bike up and running without tacking on extra costs and taking advantage of a new rider. I fell on the bike (clipped in, starting uphill 🤦🏼♀️) and couldn’t figure out why it was randomly stopping, took it in, broken chain... they fixed it for FREE. I am so thankful I found this place. Special thanks to Craig for helping my boyfriend find the perfect shoes, and Dave for fixing my chain!!! However all of the staff is resourceful and excellent! Thanks again!
They could not service my bike since there is a backlog due to Covid 19. However, they sold me a tool and gave me some instructions and a web site to get more help. It worked like a charm. Good bike experts.
We had an unpleasant experience picking up a new Haro bike from Jax at Laguna Niguel a few weeks ago. The bike was paid in full but the man at the store told us that we owed $31. We showed him the credit card receipt with the full price paid. He consulted with another employee but were unable to resolve the discrepancy. After a while, he said, Out of the goodness of my heart, I will let you take the bike without paying for the balance. I reminded him that it was the store that made the mistake. Before leaving, my wife asked for a receipt and manufacturing information/warranties. He said we already have a receipt (but we did not have a regular store receipt). He made out a store receipt and gave us a DVD. When we got to the car, my wife noticed he gave us a DVD for Electra. When my wife returned to the store, he gave her another DVD (Trekk) and said they are all the same. He did not bother to go over the new bike with us or give us any information on the Haro bike. There was no apology or thank you. We will not go to another Jax again. What a disappointment!

I had a great experience here. Ive been looking at electric bikes for some time and everyone was helpful and patient as I went through the process. All employees are very knowledgeable about their products. I have been impressed with each and every one.The Manager delivered the bike to my home after hours and took the time to explain about how to use the bike. I would recommend them and Im very happy with the purchase.
Truly one of the best customer services experiences I’ve encountered. The entire staff was extremely helpful knowledgeable friendly down to earth and listened to my wants and needs. Our sales associate Curtis was just hands down amazing. Extremely thorough upfront and honest and his follow up was wonderful! Mind you all of this during a COVID-19 Pandemic! Curtis and the entire staff kept smiles on their faces and a positive energy during the wholes sales process which was just awesome to see! The bike I wanted was unfortunately not available at the time of my visit and needed to be shipped from another location and I was given a 7-10 day tome frame to get the bike shipped assembled and delivered! Well guess what Curtis was able to get it done in 6 days placed my Order on Saturday and picked up my bike the following Friday! I just can’t say enough good things about Jax Bicycle Center - Laguna Niguel! I thank you guys all of you especially Curtis for your help and making this process such a breeze quick painless and an absolute fun experience! You’ve made a life long customer out of me!

Very disappointing experience from wait times, random closures, poor customer service during a routine repair service. I’m not one to leave negative reviews either but there isn’t one positive I can say. While waiting in line and chatting with others, everyone felt the same way. About half of those waiting left the line regardless. So very strange for one of the few categories that has seen an uptick in business In these times.

The call comes in to pick up my new electric bike, ordered over a week ago from Jax Bicycle Center in Laguna Niguel. Since only a few customers are allowed inside at a time, there are two signs on the front door with instructions depending on whether customers have already purchased a bike or repair (left line) or are new customers or for parts etc.., (right line.) The left line gets priority (VIP line for lack of a better word.) because these customers have already put their money down vs. the others who are potential purchasers.Since the time to attend left-liners picking up a bike is minimal compared to the time a salesperson may have to spend with a customer shopping for a bike who may not even commit to make a purchase.I get there and take my spot in the left line like Im supposed to. I am the first person in that line. The other has about 7-8 people waiting which is not unusual.An older service manager guy opens and says whos next. To my dismay, a woman in the other line says Ive been waiting here for half an hour! and darts ahead to enter the store.After getting over my initial surprise I think, well..shes technically the next person waiting, so I dont say anything while graciously giving up my allotted position (according to the Jax system.)A couple shows up and gets behind me in the New-Bike Pick-Up line. After about 10 minutes, the same salesperson opens the door. Ignoring the fact I am standing there, right before his eyes, he looks right past me and addresses the couple (behind me), Okay Folks come on in. He signals at them as I am obviously standing there, and he turns to the others and explains apologetically Sorry, but these folks are picking up a new bike.Seriously? Am I invisible? I was standing literally three feet from him. This sales person decides to play favorites and jumps the couple ahead of me. This of course added insult to injury, because I had been already becoming uncomfortably aware of glares from people in the other general line.I dont know why he made the decision to blatantly ignore me/pretend I didnt exist. It could have been that this couple were his customers. I dont like to play the race card so Im not going to assume that an older white service manager decided he didnt like the looks of this ethnic-looking customer and exercised his prejudices against me.Another 10 minutes go by, and this same guy opens the door to a woman in the other line starting to jump forward ahead of me...I finally HAD IT and had to say loudly,Hey IM HERE TO PICK UP MY NEW BIKE Once inside, I try repeatedly to talk to this older sales guy about what happened, but he chalks it up to People are crazy out there.What started out as an exciting experience was dampened by the behavior of this Jax associate, leaving a troubling feeling in my soul. But, alas, I had been warned.I had read several bad reviews regarding JAX customer service, but somehow I believed my experience would be different.Unfortunately, after being subjected to such disrespect and complete disregard, and no apparent sense of understanding, I have to say that JAX has probably earned those negative reviews.In fact, the first thing I was going to do when I got my bike was to buy one for my son, but now I will purchase elsewhere.
Our family purchased from JAX a Trek Mountain bike for my son, an Electra Townie Go electric for my wife, and for me, 2 full suspension Trek mountain bikes, and all 4 are quality products. Maybe more importantly, JAX customer service is excellent, they run a nice clean shop, their mechanics are great, and weve been treated like royalty there. A great find and we would recommend them to anyone shopping for a bike or for service.

Had an unexpected flat tire and the bike store I usually go to recently closed. The Jax store was within walking distance (2.5 miles) of my flat. The store wasnt even open yet and they saw me waiting outside and let me in. Manager Eric and his supporting team were extremely helpful with my flat tire, as well as a couple of other issues I was having with the bike. I stopped by the Laguna Niguel Jax Bicycle Center Wednesday morning and was met by a young associate who promptly acknowledged my existence and quickly assisted me with a couple of new tubes that I needed and helped me find the helmet that would properly fit my fat melon. I was impressed with the cleanliness and order of the shop. Jax Bicycles really has anything and everything you need and if they do not have it in stock, I am sure they can special order it for you. Ill definitely be back and would highly recommend them to whomever is in need of their services.
Service is pretty good there. But during the COVID-19 they are not picking up there phone at all in stores and they have not been for the past month or longer.

Jax Bicycles (JB) was incredibly helpful in getting my sons difficult bike, up and working again. I had purchased his mountain bike off craigslist awhile back, but was always having trouble with it. It just seemed a little off. I brought it into JB, and it turned out to be a major mess of a bike. None of the parts on my craigslist bike worked with each other. It made part replacement a nightmare for us because the parts just didnt work with each other. Even though it took them WAY MORE time to do so, they got the bike working great for a VERY minimal cost. JB clearly believes in performance quality. They were excellent and kept in contact with me about bike and part status constantly. It was a battle for them, but they fought it out and pulled it off! They are the only bike place I will to do business with now. All the staff I worked with were great as well! Dont buy a craigslist bike. Both of mine turned out to be a handful. Not worth it. Buy a bike from Jax Bicycle, instead.
Most over priced bike shop Ive ever been to. Repairs are crazy high. Also wouldnt recommend buying tubeless tires from the shop. Youll have issues with it forever. Better to do it yourself then come here.

I have given this shop the last attempt at earning my business. Unfortunately they have a lot of tude and I have tried 3 times since they are close to where I live. The shop guys cannot be more unapproachable. I constantly feel like I bother them. No wonder they are always empty. I think they have a lot of opportunity to improve service. Its mostly a Trek/Bontrager shop anyway. Not much more than that.
