Had a used car pre sale inspection done by Junior and its probably the best $50 Ive spent in years. He was really professional and showed me the specific issues he saw in the car in a load of detail. Took time to answer my questions, and prepped me to go back to the dealership and negotiate a large discount in the sale price of the car. Ill be taking my car there ASAP to get these items fixed up and feel great about my car purchase because of them!

Thank God for Hitch! In 2005, I was getting scammed by Tom Peck Ford when I friend told me about Hitch. Scott showed me how all the parts that Peck told me needed to be fixed were actually fine. They lasted 12 more years before I sold the truck!!!! I would have been out $3,300 had I not gone to Hitch.When he tells you it needs to be fixed, it really needs it. Hes not a parts changer or wallet flusher.I learned yet again why I go to him for everything auto related when I went to Discount Tire to fix a leaky tire. They made their case for replacing all four tires and said it also needed an alignment. But my kid needed to take the car the next hour on a 400 mile round trip. No problem they said. The tires needed to be broken in before the alignment anyway. Whhhhaaaaaat? I skeptically believed them but then called Scott for the alignment when she got back. I learned what was the obvious where the car needs to be aligned right away, not after you drag the tires down the highway for a few hundred miles with the same problem that caused the last set of tires to wear prematurely. Hence, even though Hitch may not be a Tire Shop with a huge inventory, ALL things auto go through them first. Its worth the wait.I was in a rush the resolve the tire problem. I should have gotten the car out to Hitch weeks before when I discovered the slow leak. My bad. After 12 year of going to Hitch, Im still always impressed with them, especially after experiences like I just had.

My hubby have gone to Hitch for years. He drive out from Chicago to get his car serviced here. The people are great and the service is reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

These folks are the best! Friendly, courteous, thoughtful, efficient and professional are the adjectives that come to mind after my visit to Hitch Automotive in Lake in the Hills. After struggling to remove and replace the ball on my hitch, the owner promptly took it to his shop and accomplished the task within minutes of my walking through the door. From now on, these are my go-to guys for any hitch work needed for my car.

I am in awe of how simple and stress-free my experience with Hitch was! I needed my front brakes and rotors replaced. They were able to get me in right away with competitive pricing. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and their waiting area was exceptionally comfortable. I was able to wait there with my two small children and they had plenty of space to walk around, couches to sit on and a TV for cartoons. I was beyond overcharged at another mechanic shop for a bunch of nonexistent problems with my car. I took it here instead and was met with a friendly atmosphere and nothing but the facts when it came down to what was wrong with my car all at a great price. If you want reliable car service for a good price definitely check these guys out.

This place is amazing in this day and age. Ive used this place before for my Pontiac G6 that had a short in my headlight and they were very reasonable and gave ME an option to go in a reasonable way and or a more expensive way to fix that problem. Most places will just go expensive and ding the hell out of you. Thank You to Scott.Now I went there just recently in late August with another unrelated problem with my blower in the car cutting off and on. Left the car and went home in an Uber only 15 minutes away and as soon as I got home, Scott calls me with a diagnosis and cost to fix. Wow!! To top it off he was way more reasonable then most places when I called to see what they would charge in that situation.All businesses have to charge above cost to survive and the people have to live that work there like we all do, BUT this place does it fairly to make sure they make a reasonable profit and make you want to come back. Which is a WIN WIN in my book! Thank you, Scott!!

Worked with the owner, Scott Hitch. The process he had in place was seamless and stress free. He provided a loaner vehicle, performed diagnostic testing, and completed the vehicle repair, same day. He assured no work would be performed until customer consent was confirmed and the services include a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty on all repairs. Pricing was very reasonable and straight forward. Im extremely picky with all my vehicles. I recently took my Dodge RAM 1500 Rumble Bee to Hitch for a Pinion Seal replacement in the rear end. I also asked them to give the truck a front end alignment. The work done to replace the seal was fairly priced and done well. In addition they were honest about a couple of items my front end needed before doing an alignment. Saved me $$$. Something else I noticed and was very impressed with...Their shop and customer waiting area was very clean...like I keep my cars. I will spread the word about Hitch.

My daughters car broke down in the middle of the road in the next town over from where we lived. Wasnt sure where to have it towed, the driver recommended Hitch. After a few misfires with other shops, I found Hitch Automotive many years ago after a referral from a friend. I have always been treated fairly, with respect and courtesy from Scott and his staff. His continual upgrades to service and diagnostic equipment helps to ensure that problems with my vehicles are fixed quickly, accurately, with the lowest possible cost and downtime. Free loaner cars are a giant plus as well. I bring all my familys vehicles here, and highly recommend the shop to all my friends.

My daughter just had her car service by them very recently. They did the front brakes and an oil change. Three days later she had a flat tire. She knows how to change a flat tire but could not get the tire off the hub. I had to go out with my 4lbs. hammer and knock the tire free of the rusted hub. The hub was rusted and not properly cleaned. How did they properly install and torque the the tire when they did not properly clean the hub? They also used conventional oil when Mazda calls for synthetic oil. Scotts response when I called was Ill talk to my mechanic. What a joke. This shop takes short cuts and does not care about your safety. The mechanic should have been fired. Will not use this shop ever again. Do not trust them.
