9/16/20,9/27/20I enjoyed every non-discriminatory moment of shopping unmasked at this shell after enjoying a nature walk at Exner Marsh. Coming from a nature walk to a store may enlighten some... to... too... cleanliness. The function of a gas station is not the function of a hospital and I think these guys do a mighty fine job at that function for the diverse functions of the customers they do business with on a daily basis. Thank you again Shell.

The store is clean and the fuel prices are responsible. However, their carwash damaged my vehicle. Still waiting on a callback.

Very bad service!! Waiting to get change from the register when the guy tells me he can’t open the drawer unless I bought something. I bought with a debit and he blatantly kept my change!! Ignores me and refused to give me my change! Very bad service, very discriminating to be treated like that!! Will not ever give my service to this Shell in Algonquin

Chose to come to this Shell Grove Mart (usually go to the one on Randal) because their store is clean, great service, and merchandise. Little did I know I was going to have the worst experiences at the Algonquin location.I came in the store at 9:15 a.m to get a regular coffee before work. I walked over to the coffee machine and picked up a 24oz cup. I started pouring my coffee moved to the expresso machine to add an extra shot but the cup was too big so I picked up a 16 oz cup and poured the expresso in there. Their machine is not fit for a 24 oz so I am forced to get a 16oz cup. I dumped the expresso into the 24 oz and through away the 16 oz cup. The employee comes over and is standing behind me, looking over my shoulder and says with an attitude about how many cups are you going to use?. Mind you, I have never had a problem filling my own cup of coffee. I politely responded to him that I needed the extra cup to pour the coffee into my cup. His attitude becomes more aggressive and continues to say, do you know how to even use the machine? I am going to charge you for extra cups!, etc I was in disbelief and embarrassed this person was yelling at me in front of other customers, especially over an extra cup of coffee that I am forced to use. I replied I dont want it anymore and as I am walking away the clerk yells get out, you are not welcome here anymore I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all if I could rate a 0 I would. Customer service is terrible and I have never experienced anything like this. Will be calling corporate, no customer should be treated such as I did today! Very disappointing, the store looks nice and all but poor management.

I was there this morning. Cashier was very nice, wearing a mask. A female employee was mopping the floors without a mask. I told her “out of respect for the rest of us you should wear a mask.” She told me she is mopping and it’s too hot for a mask.Cashier says I told you twice already! In the end, management should do something.

My favorite gas station to get a ICEE blue-raspberry Slurpee.

Almost no English speakers. Impossible to get issues resolved. Place is insanely clean however.

As far as gas stations go this is one of the better ones in the area. Its nice to be able to visit a facility where the station attendants are willing to make Chit Chat and small talk with the customers. Its also nice that they remember you when you come in and know what you are there to shop for besides gas. In these days its hard to find any store where you are remembered. I visit this place often and as long as a service stays the way it is that will continue.

I love the Loyalty program they have there. This shell has the Grove Market so it has much more inside then your typical shell gas station. Particular gas station has video gambling inside. There is a very nice car wash at this gas station. Free vacuums are included. There is many options for the car wash. This is a more advanced car wash, like the car wash can do tire dressing hot wax and things like that. Even the light wash the cheapest of them all works great.

We have received dozens of calls about this station so we bought gas everyday for a week. 5 out of the 7 days Pumps 3 and 9 never has receipts even when we went out of our way to impress on attendant how much of an inconvenience it was to come inside and get receipt. Pumps 5 8 did have receipts and pump one paper just ran out blank. So there is some truth to the no receipts at pumps complaints. We will be going back during bad weather and investigate more. Not very good compared to other Shell stations.

I don’t know if anybody else has noticed after a customer buys a ticket from the lotto machine the next person has to wait like 10 minutes. And as the person is deciding what ticket to pick the employees watch. I figure since it’s a machine they are allowed to play. Just stay alert, if you buy lotto tickets there.

No receipts at pumps have to go see clerk Walk in 2 guys yelling about this very upset this is a regular scam when weather is bad Scam is to get you inside to buy something profitable evidently no money to be made on gas alone. Very Poor business practice If people pay at pump that means they do not want to come inside! Calling Shell Corporate This place has the worst Shell owners! 1st time I have written a bad review!

They dont wear gloves while handeling food. Absolutely disturbing such a health risk to customers is commom practice on top of ripping. Customers off and verbally assaulting customers.

No receipts at pump 9 walk in and 2 guys making coffee ask me if I want a cup not free of course as it should be making me walk in to get receipt when it should have been at pump! Why not one of these guys making sure pumps have receipts When I pay at pump that means I do not want to walk inside and get receipt These guys could careless if they inconvenience customers if there is a chance people will buy something in store!!

Workers are nice and slots actually pay. Turned $20 into $100. Not the biggest slot payout but I’ll take it!

Car wash damaged my car and manager was not receptive to my concerns. I do not recommend the car wash. BUYER BEWARE!

Went in the night of 4/16/2019 at 9:30 to cash in Lotto tickets I bought there and as soon as I told them I had 2 winners of $120 total, they told me their register was closed 10 minutes earlier and they would not pay. I could tell they just didn’t want to pay. Terrible service and I would give a zero star review if possible. I’ve spent quite a bit of money there since I live around the corner but I’ll never spend a dollar there again. I hope it was worth it!!!

Price always high compared to others. You always have to wait for the attendant at the car wash. Blowers dont work very well so cars come out soaking wet. I canceled my membership after 1 year and signed up with the Everwash.

My favorite gas station with the best car wash in town! Car wash is open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. 👍

Great selection inside the store plus free vacuums and an awesome light show while you go through the wash what else can you ask for.

Absolutely the worst experience Ive had at a gas station. They changed prices on an item I buy regularly and didnt find out until I was paying. When I mentioned that they should put up the new price, they told me that the new price tag wouldnt be there until next week. I said that you could just make a temporary tag and he just asked whether I wanted them or not. Unbelievable...I have been going there twice a week since they opened. I will never go back there. Arrogant jerk.

Another cold wintry day and no receipts in pump one Attendant has receipt pump says Go inside wait 7 mins and get asked if I want anything else This is very inconvenient as other reviews say this happens when bad weather. Attendant never said sorry for the inconvenience at all Shrugged shoulders did nothing If a customer picks buy at pump that means they dont want to or have time to go inside!

Ive been coming here since it opened and I wont be back because of my expirence just a few minutes ago. I walk in and pay, $20 on pump 9 and go back outside to get my gas. I noticed the pump didnt stop and it went over by a few cents so I walked back inside to pay the difference. Right upon opening the door, in broken English, the employee publically ridicules me and raises his voice to say You tell me wrong pump number! I defended myself and said No, I told you 9 and his response was I put it on 10. Frustrated, I tell the man that he didnt have to be so rude, his response was to tell me not to come back. So I wont be coming back as directed by their very own employee. Sad that this business lost a long term customer.

I just went there to get something to drink and everything is covered in plastic sheets. I asked if I could still buy something, and one of the workers rudely asked, what do you want? I said nothing and turned around and left.

Wow this is my 6th time now have to see clerk to get receipt! Always cold crappy days! Had to stand inline added 10 mins to my trip! 2 others guys at other cash registrar counting cash would not help me at all! I hope Shell sees all these bad reviews and takes action this is terribly inconvenient to a customer!

The gas station is nice and clean with lots of choices, however, none of the items prices are marked or are marked incorrectly. Youll find out what your paying once you bring it up to the checkout.

Had to pay $1.00 to put air in my tires and the machine took the change and it didnt work! Went inside to let store manager know and the clerk who didnt speak hardly any English said the one clear phrase of no refund. I told him he should put a sign to state that its broken, but he only repeated no refund. Poor service. Rip offs. I usually just wash my car there and buy a few things in the store, not anymore! Went across the street to 7-Eleven and they had a working machine AND gained a new customer. Stay away from this Shell station if you can.
