At last I can see! Advanced Vision Technologies was the reserve oxygen tank when I was drowning. I was prepared to give up on my vision and accept a very difficult future. After an excessive number of tries to get fitted for rigid gas permeable lenses to treat my genetic keratoconus eye condition, I was at my wits end. None of them fit properly, and they all hurt my eyes. Additionally, I struggled to take them in and out, taking over an hour a day with multiple insertions required to avoid air bubbles. After I was referred to AVT, I met Keith. He got the lenses right, answered questions, and showed me new techniques for putting them in my eyes. Keith wears the lenses himself, and understands the struggles associated. He spent extra time with me that my primary eye doc wouldnt, and made sure the fit was correct. Unlike many Ive worked with, Keith is passionate about his craft, and more than willing to answer questions and put me at ease. I am a tough customer to please, with a bombardment of analytical questions. I want to understand the why behind things. I also had the pleasure of working with Janine, who offered equal care and patience for my condition. Later on, I met with Dr Kumar as well, and I realized this kind of care was a pattern for the whole AVT team. The knowledge, understanding, empathy, and care I received from Keith, Janine, Dr Kumar, and the whole AVT staff was nothing sort of incredible. My son has advanced keratoconus to a degree that scleral lenses from his optometrist in Albuquerque could no longer be tolerated greater than 1 hour at a time. Eyes were bloodshot and painful regardless of what his frustrated optometrist tried. Shamefully, optometrists in Albuquerque, including my sons, dont seem to be aware of the EyePrint Prosthetic lenses. These are custom fit scleral lenses that conform to the individuals corneal topography. These lenses and Keith Parker at AVT converted my sons 20/400 vision to 20/25 with lenses that he can wear 12 plus hours now. We are no longer having to plan for a bilateral corneal transplant. They are pricey but for us worth every penny.

I had a small confrontation with a worker here and I was highly impressed with the swift action of the business owners. Very nice professional people.
