They mis-ordered 4 windows, $4500 worth of $20,000 order. Admitted error but refused to order correct size. The refused to return calls, texts, emails. This refusal to correct held up my remodel project for 3 MONTHS. (I asked Rod why and he said Ive been busy) Even then I had to get management at Marvin in MN involved to get those windows. Do business with Rod or this business at your own peril. There are plenty of other Marvin dealers around.

I have worked with Mountain Window Specialties on several high end custom homes in Grand County. One project in particular had over 100 windows. Every time Ive worked with them, Ive been impressed by their knowledge, responsiveness and flexibility in working with me to ensure I received the product I expected at a budget-friendly price.I have recommended them to family and friends, and would do so again without any hesitation. They are a great company to work with and an A List subcontractor for any GC looking for a hassle free experience.

No return call after nearly a week. Im a custom Home Builder that needs sub-contractors and suppliers to actually communicate in a timely and honest manner or they are of no use to me.

I have worked with Mountain Window Specialities as a homeowner on a variety of projects over the last 2 years. One of the projects involved the installation of a series of large and heavy windows, which the team handled by arriving onsite with the appropriate staff to handle the delicate and difficult job. Mountain Window Specialties is a Kolbe authorized dealer and in an environment of price inflation due to high demand in the construction industry, I found Mountain Window Specialties bid to be very reasonable.In terms of timing, I recall the measuring, ordering, delivery, and installation all appeared to be on time, as estimated, particularly on those elements that were in their control. Also, I did not speak with any other companies (and I spoke with several) that stand behind their work (both labor and product warranties) the way that Mountain Window Specialities does and I believe quality work and craftsmanship sometimes need a little patience (some of the follow-on closeout work may have been delayed, likely due to the labor shortage cited in one of the other reviews).Over the last 2 years I have interacted with the company, I have also been impressed by the consistent, positive attitude and knowhow by the team lead, which has also influenced my decision to continue going to them for additional projects.One more unique characteristic about this company, and perhaps the most important, is that they actually care. It is evident in their work and the interactions that I have had with them. They are clearly not a high volume, rush in and rush out organization. They are family owned, they want to get to know you, they care about you, they care about the quality of their work, and they care about their reputation and the people that work for them.I highly recommend Mountain Window Specialities (and have already done so with those I know) and will go back to them on future window projects.

They misordered windows, denied their Error once installed and damaged a $10,000 la cantina folding door and refused to reinstall the replacement doors. They broke the ones they installed and followed it for a bill for repairing other items they didnt install properly.Erik
