I dropped by unannounced and asked for a pre-sale evaluation of a RAM pickup truck. I was told to set up an appointment, then the boss offered to drive it a bit and offer an opinion, for free. He said his initial impression was piston slap and trans shifting issues. I declined the sale and had a giant pizza delivered the next work day along with a thank-you note. Very helpful people.

Doug and his team do a great job and are very qualified for what they do. At first I thought they were a little bit pricey, but I havent paid to have a car worked on in 10 years. I find their knowledge and quality of work worth far more than Ive paid over the three times Ive used them.

Excellent service, fair prices

Car Dr. Is all that an auto repair should be. Took my car in started the diagnostic immediately. Gave me a ride to Hertz where I was able to get a discounted rate AND called me with and update. Wow!!!! It may not sound like much but you wouldnt believe how many auto repairs cant even manage the basics. This Christian family business is not the cheapest price but absolutely the fairest price. I have never had an issue with repairs and I have been coming here thru at least 3 cars. When I can, I always come to The Car Dr, formally QH Automotive.

One bit of advice I got once was, always pick the service provider that makes you feel like you learned something when you walk away, hire someone with the heart of a teacher. A few months ago I walked into the Car Doctors in Lancaster, and I saw they had several jars of liquids on a shelf behind the register, all the jars had labels for what liquid was used in cars. I instantly realized they used these jars to show customers what to look for, and knew they had the heart of a teacher. I decided right then and there they would be my goto mechanic. And every interaction I have had since has made me 100% convinced I made the right choice, so check em out!!!!

I installed replacement headlights on my Toyota Tacoma and needed them adjusted and aimed properly. Car doctors did a fantastic job and no one has flashed me while night driving. Great job.

Doug and Sue were fantastic! I had my vehicle towed there in January for stalling issue, Doug gave me an estimate base on probable problems, at the time I was only able to pay a portion of the estimated cost, not only did they start the repair process but kept me informed along the way, once it was repaired Doug contacted me with news that it was actually going to cost almost 600 dollars less than we thought. Personally,I feel they went above and beyond in their service, and I would recommend them to anyone requiring auto repairs.

You are informed of any additional work needed and given the option to have the additional repairs completed or performed on another visit. Transportation is provided home while you wait and back when the job is done.

Honest folk doing honest work.Ive known the owner since I was a kid and his crew has never dissapointed.Recently had a crazy mixup with my jeep at another shop (heavily modified rubicon) and these guys went outside their comfort zone to help me get it fixed up right!Found out later even the owner helped out despite having a broken leg!I mean come on...these guys go above and beyond.Not a problem since!Couldnt be happier.

These guys are great. Weve been taking all of our cars here for over 20 years. My F-150 has almost 200,000 miles and still runs just fine. My husband isnt a car guy so I rely on them to keep my cars in good condition. They never let me down.

A good attitude will get you far in life. The owner of this establishment has been in business 27 and that says a lot! Especially with the high costs of employees, insurance and wages. This owner is fair and seems trustworthy. He provides a great service at a reasonable cost along with a wonderful attitude!Thank you Doug for excellent work on my vehicle! Went in to have some work done and when I came back to pick up my car there was a crack in the windshield. They claimed to have no knowledge of it at all. I tried very hard to be understanding and they refused to own up to it. Very disappointing.

I wouldnt never recommend this place. They arent honest at all they over charge people. He told me a part for my car was 576 dollars. He didnt know that i had already had the part. It was going to be the same kind, rebuilt. But when I paid for it at a auto part store it was only 312 dollars. Then he said 441 for labors that place is a scam and it over charge and not honest. All these other reviews thats on here. They are either close friends or they were paid to say those things. Because those people that work there wasnt all that friendly or talkative like that. The owner of the shop initial D was the one who told me that outrageous amount for a part. He was charging me 264 more dollars then the original cost of the part. DO NOT GO THERE unless you want to get robbed or over charged for service. I only gave it one star because they wont let you put a negative star.I just seen the owner respond to my review. My reply to that, is your first impression is what stand out the longest. Im not calling i got my car fixed and I wasnt ripped off to do it and it took only 3 hours. When the car doctor said it would be all day. I feel like you only want to talk because i gave a negative review. But if you was honest it wouldnt be no explanation needed. I know you are a shop because i came there. And i know you have bills but so do i and i dont go around ripping people off to pay them. Im done and over with this and your business. I will never recommend this shop.

Took my car into Car Doctor’s. They were unable to fix my car due to the complexity of it as Honda has the electrical codes and components to fix my car. Since Doug couldn’t fix it, he did not charge me a dime for diagnostic! Honest and ethical shop! Plus they are AAA Certified which made me have confidence with the shop!

I have been taking my car there for about 10 years. I believe their services and workmanship are excellent. The owner seems like a genuinely good person. I have taken my car to other places before, but I believe I receive better and more honest services here. I have come to trust their work and will continue to utilize their services.

All around great service.

I brought a 2001 Chevy Camaro to The Car Doctor that had a no crank issue. The car had been sitting for over 5 years. I had researched the issue on Google and watched several videos on Youtube that exposed Chevys Disappointing Car Security Systems. I had made several calls to different repair places and had spoke with several technicians. However, When I spoke with Doug at The Car Doctor he was extremely patient and listened to the car issues I felt the car had and the steps I took to try and repair the issues myself. He told me that he suspected what the issue(s) was and also disclosed that he has worked with similar issues and was very confident that he could resolve the issue(s). Because he was very thorough with his explanations I decided to bring my Camaro to him. To make a long story short...there were several issues...but the one that impressed me the most was he was able to find a few wires within the wiring harness that were shorting out the starter relay...which he had sent pictures to me and he even explained the other issues with the help of a wiring diagram...Doug deserves a Medal for finding and repairing all the issues! Basically Doug is the Sherlock Holmes of solving really difficult issues. Thank You! Doug and the staff at The Car Doctor. I should also mention that I told Doug I was working with a very tight $$ budget...and he did a great job with that as well.

Being new to the area and not knowing anyone, I took a chance with this business and had my car towed in. I have such anxiety with repair shops as it is because I know nothing about cars and some mechanics have used that to their benefit in the past. I can honestly say that the experience that I had with The Car Doctors was excellent. Doug was so helpful from the start to the finish. He diagnosed the problem, communicated with the insurance company and repaired the car. He was honest and never once tried to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. I cant recommend them highly enough!! This will be my new repair shop as I trust them 100%.

Took my 1998 Nissan Frontier to the car doctors for smog & inspection. Steve is very courteous & knowledgeable & explained & answered all my questions. They took me right in & Dave did the testing while I waited. Comfortable waiting area & my waiting time was only about 45 minutes. I will definitely take any future auto problems to the car doctors. Wow, I am so happy I got to know this place, my daughter overheated her transmission. Triple A towed her Honda Odyssey there, they charged us 58 bucks, told us exactly what we did wrong, what we need to do now, they are honest. I will be bringing my cars to them from now on.
