Its a neat little store focused mostly on DnD figures, books, scenary pieces, other RPG books, some board games, some trading cards, etc. Theres a parking garage thats less than 5 minutes away if youre driving in to visit. Gotta mask up to enter. You can order online as well from the website or pay in store.
Excellent small business for all things geeky! We stopped by the area just to see this store and were not disappointed. They have gifts, plushies, collectibles, board games, minis, crafting supplies- honestly something for everyone high or low on the nerd scale. The employee on duty helped us with a custom dice set for our young family member who is just getting into D&D! We dont live nearby, but well be back- we liked it that much!
So much fun omg!!! I bought dice, and considered buying stuffed animals, D&D miniatures, and earrings. I love this store!!
Was in Lancaster with my boyfriend on an errand, got an itch for some MTG boosters, saw this place and we stopped in. We agreed: THE friendliest owner of a gaming store ever, we loved the decor-it was fun and whimsical but also very organized. They have lots of Dungeons and Dragons stuff. He even has some cute locally produced stuff like quirky earrings and stickers. We bought more than we had planned on just to patronize the place, because he is doing it RIGHT! Highly recommend-totally worth the drive and finding parking! (Is on the top floor-lots of steps-worth the extra exercise)
10/10 will shop again, shop-guy was super helpful, we bought way too much but thats the point. The atmosphere was perfect and the selection was incredible.
Is it a book store with games? Is it a game store with books? Its both, and its fantastic!
Amazing array of everything nerdy! The dice selection is unparalleled, with some specialty dice thrown in for added flair! The boardgames are all eclectic and fun - with the plushy area having everything from cubed cats to Animal Crossing and Pokémon. Theres bound to be something for everyone at FARBO!
I stopped in Saturday for the first time. The gentleman working there (I assume the owner) was friendly and helpful. I mentioned I would like to play D&D with my son when he is a bit older and he showed me a couple of options for role playing games for kids! Now a game called No Thank You, Evil has become a fun game for the family to play. The community reputation for this shop is legitimate. If you like games, need something new to change your routine or a perfect gift for that geeky friend...this is where you should stop in.
Every time I come here I am blown away by how they make this store bigger and better. Love the murals on the stairs up!
Great local spot and theyve really expanded! I remember when it was like two shelves and now theyre huge! Stop in for your local game support!
This is such a neat game shop! James was extremely nice and knowledgeable. They have everything from board games to RPG games to Japanese action figures and plushies to dice to minis and more. I dont know how its taken me this long to find this store, but I definitely plan on returning.
What a delight! Nestled away in a corner of historic Lancaster is a warm and welcoming game store for all sorts of fun. Fans of trading card games, roleplaying games, dice, miniatures, board games and much more will feel right at home. There truly is something for everyone. The owners were really friendly and knowledgeable. LGBTQ+ friendly! Well definitely be back!
Great shop and customer service! Wonderful selection of games at good prices
Ive been to a number of tabletop stores in recent years, theyve ranged from lukewarm to cold with welcoming customers. Not Farbo, I was viewing miniatures when the store owner calmly started a conversation with me, I thought he was another customer at first! While tucked away on the street, Farbo is worth the visit. It has plenty of supplies, excellent selection, a personable atmosphere, community events (slowly, through website), and a nice view from their 2nd story window.
Best shop in Lancaster hands down, bar none, without question, no ifs ands or buts about it.
Im not sure how you can be in operation without being ADA compliant? I work with americans with disabilities as well as being a disabled American myself and I try and find them safe places to play games like warhammer, and D&D and its really annoying and heart breaking I cant include this shop. I would recommend people check out Owl Central Gaming for a safe place to play that has plenty of room for wheelchairs, crutches, and other physical disability aids. I am sure the owners of farbo are nice and not being discriminatory on purpose, But why would I recommend shopping online with them when other game stores have better locations and Online prices at other shops are better they have no incentives to buy from them. Maybe its time for them to think about looking for a new location. Otherwise a sign on the door saying NOT ADA COMPLIANT would be helpful. This is just hurtful to exclude people with no physical warning at their location. If A sign is put up I will amend my rating.
Farbo is an absolute gem. Great selection, fair prices and friendly service. I definitely recommend checking them out!
Amazing place, welcoming atmosphere, and an incredibly friendly store owner!! Felt like I made a friend before I walked out and Ill definitely be there again!
This place is awesome! Nice little hole in the wall with all the nerd necessities! Will definitely return again.
Not too many places have Gunpla in this variety. It was nice having more than 3 kits to look at and choose from, especially with a niche hobby. I’d rather go local for a kit than a barns and noble or any other chain. The people working were very nice and even made an accommodation for a purchase for me. Will be back for more kits in the future.
My SO and i went in for the first time today after our usual trip to market. She had heard of it, I had not. I was so excited to see a game shop downtown. It has a wide range of options. They carry board games, card games, pen and paper adventure games (DnD, pathfinder, cyberpunk type games but with plenty more lesser known options as well), books, minis, all the paint selection you may ever need, gundam, model airplanes (small selection but nice models), as well as some other knicks and knacks (pins, plushies, a dice collection that is pretty extensive and apparently ever growing). I was impressed by the inclusivity abound in the shop as well. The owner was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and very keen to helping recommend things. Usually events would take place there but COVID has put that on pause. I look forward to when they can finally have events again. Ill be sure to pop by and join in the fun.If you enjoy board games its a great place to stop in and shop. Support locally owned businesses!
Love the new look! Awesome selection and incredibly welcoming as always
Great store, great employees, great selection.
No handicap access and no warning that it has no handicap access waste of my time will not shop here.
Super friendly and informative staff. An Inclusive, inviting space for people into general nerdery. Lots of books, tabletop game resources, and quite a few anime/game model kits.
Perfect stop to nerd out in Lancaster city. Definitely worth a visit every time youre meandering in the market area. Even my wife liked it.
This place is amazing whether its for just chatter or to sit down and play a game. Owners are amazing people and the other customers will befriend you immediately. I suggest coming multiple days to get to know others and soon it will be a humble little country club in the heart of Lancaster city. This store has a bright future that will only grow brighter.
Great store for your gaming needs!!!
This place is awesome! Huge selection of Minis, board games, magic cards and even space to play with your friends. The owners are awesome and friendly too. I cant recommend this place highly enough!
Service was amazing establishment was very clean and well organized.
Great place and environment. Perfect for beginners or the seasoned pro. Owner was super helpful and gave incredibly personalized recommendations. Will be making a return visit for sure!
Great space and selection. Incredibly helpful staff.
Personable, friendly, engaged ownership. Cool selection with a focus on the customer. What an awesome place. Wish i lived closer, this place deserves your support as a gamer or modeling enthusiast.
Great local game shop. They host a variety of events, and have established a great community of local gamers and hobby enthusiasts. Everyone I have spoken to here has been very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have an excellent selection of games, miniatures, painting supplies, and gaming accessories.
This place is great for hanging out and playing casual games. I played in a small $5 Magic commander tournament and despite not being a great player, or not having spent more than $50 or so on my deck, I came away with two new booster packs.(Which I unpacked a twelve dollar card out of). All in all, this place is super friendly and the staff is super helpful.
A great place to go to meet some friendly, informative gaming people. Enjoyed my brief visit and wished I could have stayed longer. Definitely suggest coming and playing A familiar game or buying a new treat for you and your friends.
The newest friendly neighborhood hobby shop in Lancaster City! Their pickup D&D nights (Wednesdays) are surprisingly accessible for strangers, even if you dont know how to play. Good stock of games in general, too.
Really charming local game store. Lots of cool board and card games for sale including some classic board games. Lots of minis available. They have a rotating calendar of events. Nice to see something like this downtown.
This store have a great selection of games, comics and collectibles. The people who run it are stupendous.
Worth every penny despite being unemployed.
Great store for table top RPG and MTG events. Theyll be moving soon so space wont be as much of a constraint, which means larger events! Wonderful store with a positive atmosphere.
Great new location! Brought my 12 year old son and he got himself a D&D starter kit. Hope to get him over their for one of their game nights.
Stunning place. I play Magic and like to keep it causal. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. I felt at home right away and have been going several days a week to hang out and participate in events. I take Pride :) in calling it my home LGS.
Super cute, homey game shop! First time in...good prices and selection. Will definitely be back in soon!
This is a great place! They have a great selection of games for sale and games to play in the store at the gaming tables in the back! They also have collecting/trading cards and gaming figures to paint.
Great place for the Gaming community, owners are friendly and prices are very reasonable. If they dont have it, they can order it. Highly recommend it
Best place in the city to get miniatures and all boardgame needs! Love the new hangout spot in the city!
Great place for nerding out. They have all kinds of cool games stuff and the people there are super friendly.
They have a werewolf who works there.
Honestly best store of this type in the Lancaster area. Owners are always super kind and welcoming.
Amazing place with amazing people! First time EDH player. Went to put a deck together with a buddy, huge selection and great prices!
The staff is super friendly and very informative. They can easily answer your questions about tabletop games.
Incredibly helpful staff with an amazing array of tabletop games, playbooks, dice and other supplies! Always thrilled with everything Ive gotten from there.
Great and friendly staff, made picking up a gift super easy. Im going here for all my nerd needs!
Staff are very friendly and they have a great game selection
I visited the shop for the first time tonight. Im so happy to see Farbo Co downtown. I had a nice conversation with James and Im looking forward to joining in for some gaming.
I love Farbo Co! They have a dedicated table for painting minis and a wide assortment of craft events and gaming alike! Tabletop rpgs, traditional boardgames and more! I love to spend my time here.
Great place to buy stuff for table top RPGs like D&D, they also have snacks and drinks.
I was under the impression they were going for a have cafe feel here. Unfortunately, though, its just another MTG den. Tiny retail selection up front with card tables hogging to the rest of the space.
Love this place. Staff and visitors are always friendly, and I can basically find a DnD game whenever!
Seriously the best game shop ever. So comfortable and fun!
Excellent little shop with board games, magic, and some miniatures and paints. The owner and is wife are really friendly too!
The friendliest game shop you will ever find
This a really active and friendly game store! Theres at least one event nearly every day, game demos and the owner is really engaging! Ive never been to a nerdy hobby shop with an atmosphere better than FarboCo!
The place is a open and relaxing atmosphere. Farbo makes everyone feel welcome there.
Tons of potential, seems inclusive, stock is a little low as they just opened last week but I can recognize a great store when I see one.
The owner James is very knowledgeable and friendly. Hes passionate about games and providing a great space for customers no matter your skill level or budget.
Friendly staff and great atmosphere! Definitely a great place to play card and board games!
Eclectic toys and games in a very fun store.
Great little game shop with a focus on RPG stuff! They have so many games!
Fun stop for all your nerdy needs.
Its a neat place that has a variety of board games for you to play or buy that are mostly role playing type games. It was not busy at all, they also have coffees to drink too.
Tldr; AMAZING customer service, Highly recommended.Wow where do I start, me and my buddy have never been to this shop before but decided we would go in because it caught my eye. We walk in and get greeted by the shop owner, we just got out of a shop not long ago with TERRIBLE customer service and spoke to the owner about it and we had a laugh or two. He tells us all about the store and events and shows us over to the boardgame library they have. Me and my buddy sit down and play a game of road to Oregon, all while the store owner plays some funny western music and makes sure we have enough lighting. He even sold the game to me for a good price, all and all this was hands down one of the BEST experiences Ive ever had in a store like that ever. I highly recommend this store to anyone in to nerdy junk.
Always feel welcome to either just sit and play magic or do an actual event.
Being totally objective, its literally the best store in the entire universe.Though a non-Farbo might comment on its open and inviting atmosphere, knowledgeable and personable owner, wonderful variety of goodies and games spaning many MANY fandoms, variety of snacks and SQ1 coffee, and clean and modern decor. Its truly a great little store with unlimited potential, a nerd of any kind will feel at home there.
Great selection, nice gaming area, great people. Highly recommend.
This is the most magical place in all the land.
A very friendly and welcoming place to enjoy a boardgame.
A great board game store with that also does some RPGs.
A welcoming and creative atmosphere make this place the game store Lancaster needs.
Dope place for all table top and board games will definitely come back, and they were a great place to host our smash bros tournament! GAME!
Farbo is a welcome addition to East King. The place is well decorated and always full of friendly people. Im not sure you could want anything else is your local game store.
Nice and super friendly store.
Fun, friendly, had a blast at their wine and worbla night 🖤🖤🖤
The best please to go to nerd out
