Wipers did not work when we test drove the car but otherwise it seemed nice and supposedly had a recent transmission rebuild. They fixed the wipers and we bought the car in June. Wipers had to be re-clocked within a couple of days because they were done improperly, which made me question the mechanical integrity this dealers inventory.Fast-forward to October and the transmission is out for $3800.Do not buy from this dealer, unless youre willing to spend an additional 50% in repairs or are a serious shade-tree mechanic.

Went to purchase my very first car with Capitol Auto and it was nothing less than a great experience! All of the guys were overly respectful and helpful with any questions I had. Upon test driving my vehicle I noted the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. These guys have taken my car in 3 times to work on it and figure out what the problem is at no extra cost to me. They also gave me a “loaner vehicle” so that I could still get around while they work on my car. Truly appreciate Edward and the guys there who made this experience a wonderful one! I will continue to refer people to them for their car needs!

Awesome experience! We were looking for a third car for the winter due to one of our cars being stored. Came there to look at one vehicle but another one caught our eye. Brian was awesome, even suggested we talk to our bank. The car needed a new headlight and tires. We agreed we’d take the car and replace the tires in our own as long as they fixed the headlight. When we went to sign papers and pick up the car, they told us they not only fixed the one headlight they fixed both and replaced all 4 tires, at no cost to us! Such great service from everyone we encountered, including the owner!! We’ll definitely be back!! Thanks for making this an awesome experience!!

I stoped at this car lot on Monday saw a vehicle that I liked in order to test drive this vehicle I had to do an credit application then they wanted two of my recent pay check stubs and a bank statement.Most car lot when looking a car and you want to test drive it they take a copy of your drivers license or a salesman ride with you. So I called around to a few car lots and was told not to do buy a car here .Did the application still didnt get to test drive the car was told to bring my check stubs and bank statement and I can get the car thats not the way to do business not for me.I didnt think the car that I was looking at was an high End Car 2015 Arcadia not a Cadillac an Hard Pull On My Credit Report For Nothing

It is a used car lot, the cars are nice but not new with a warranty, obviously there will be some imperfections, however, Capitol does a great job at pointing them out and taking care of the customer. Not sure why these other people are complaining about their used car that had an issue after they drove it for months. They did not try to hide anything. At first I thought the sales people and customer service was good, but shortly after driving off the lot it all went downhill. This was a 2016 clean title car. 12 hours after owning the car I had to have it towed, because the car was smoking so badly. I was sold a car with a clutch the was worn to the last fiber. Warranty does not cover wearable parts, so I was already out $2,000 after JUST purchasing the car a day ago. They did pay for the parts themselves, but I was left to find a car shop willing to even fix my car with parts I brought them, and had a huge labor cost. Out a car for 3 weeks while being repaired, got it back for 2 days and then engine light goes on. Engine cylinder issue, both control arms so busted and out of shape that the car was dangerous to have even driven off the dealer lot. Back to repair shop for another few weeks. The car was in the shop a third time shortly after because the engine coolant was leaking, the pump was also damaged. All in all, I owned the car for 4 months and drove it a total of about 5 days. Cannot believe they can sell a car in such bad shape. Yes this is a used car sales place but this was all completely hidden from me and it is illegal to sell a car as unsafe as it was as a drive off the lot car. I was truly scammed by them and would NEVER recommend.

I purchased a car on June 12th plus purchased a warranty, after 2 weeks the car was leaking oil everywhere, no power. Took it to a Chevy dealership to work on it they wouldnt even touch it. Found a certified mechanic, the car needed a new, intake manifold, valve cover, front catalytic converter, turbo..found out the warranty will not cover anything since there was modifications to the engine that I did NOT make, basically told all repairs are on me because I bought as is not knowing that it needed all these repairs, now I am on my own to fix it around $3500 in parts and labor. Was not offered help for the cost but quick to cancel my warranty..

Iosif was VERY honest and straight forward when I wasbdealing with him. He pulled the car out, noticed a small noise, and ordered the part to fix it before I even arrived to test drive. Also, agreed in writing to check a couple minor issues (backup lights, airbag light) before I take the car AND said they would give the deposit back if it turns out to be a major electrical issue or something. Bought a car from here, spent 6k for a car that broke down on me a week after purchase, and spent over 2.5k in repairs, haven’t even had the car for 3 months. Would not recommend anyone here. In February I Bought a vehicle with 70k miles on it and within 12 hours of buying it the transmission goes out. So I took it back and they ended up fixing it and it runs but I have no idea if they replaced it or if they just rebuilt it, they would not give me any paperwork on the repair. 1 week later Bluetooth stops working, Two months later front wheel bearing goes out, now here we are 7 months later and both struts have completely went out. Will not be back!

This is the best car dealership I have ever been too. This place takes care of their customers so freaking well. They really go above and beyond to ensure the purchase you make will be worth it. I ended up buying a Chevy Cruze from them and when I showed them the concerns I had about the car from my mechanic they fixed up EVERYTHING! They even put two BRAND NEW tires in the front. Horrible dealership! Sold me a rundown Chevy Malibu! I have had to get a new engine, new starter, new radiator, new tires, new brakes and rotors for this car before even driving on the highway!! I paid them for repairs including engine replacement and they returned my car with continued alignment issues and an engine that was not reset with the correct replaced mileage!! Do not buy from here! My car just went out again!!

This is my honest review. I came here, just like you, looking to find out if this place was worth a shot. The bad reviews sounded more like miscommunications to me, so DO NOT sleep on these guys. To start off, I had a great first experience, this was my first big purchase on a vehicle, I went in and explained my financial situation (no credit) and they sent me to the msu bank, I was able to work something out surprisingly fast and left with a loan which I was able to buy the 2015 chevy cruze i had my eyes on. Odd set up as you must go to the back of the building to make a purchase. It seemed like a bad idea to follow a guy around the back of a strange building. It turned out ok but it was unsettling.

Joseph and his staff are amazing. My husband and I found them about 7 years ago and we have bought several cars. I love their honesty.We walked in there once with $1000 and a lot of desperation. Joseph pointed us to a sedan and said he could help us out. He told us right away that it may not last very long and he would be surprised if it made it through the summer (it was April). The car lasted over a year and by the time it did die, we had a little bit more money for the next one.Every time we go to him I feel like Im going to visit a friend and not a used car salesman.We just went and got a new car a couple weeks ago and it was another great experience. Demetrius, that met us, was wearing a mask and wiped down every surface with disinfectant wipes. Even though they had been forced to close for three weeks because of COVID 19 he was sure to get everything that we might touch.My husband and I hate to have a car payment, so we usually pay cash with our tax returns. We tell him how much we have and he takes care of us. My biggest concern this time was room for my son, who just hit 62, is still growing and plays tuba. Even in my old Rendezvous he was cramped in the back seat, especially if the tuba had to go with us. While I was looking at SUVs with way too many miles on them and awful MPG, Joseph pulled out a Minivan that he just gotten. He told me right away that there was some rust on the sliding doors, but that he had driven it and thought it was a nice car.Two weeks later, I love it. Its got plenty of room for all of us, gets decent gas mileage and was actually less than our budget.Once again, Joseph found exactly what we needed and didnt try to talk us into something that was too expensive. While he does remind us that they are happy to finance a car if desired, he completely respects that we choose not to finance.I know this was long and I hope that you read to the end because this place is the exception to all negative stereotypes about used car dealerships. Theyre very friendly, let me test drive, didnt hassle me, proand thecess was very smooth and quick. Also worked with me and gave me a month to pay off fees for plates and sales tax. A sigh of relief after going a whole year without a car, with the motor going out in less than a month at the scammers across the street, Empire Motors (stay away from that one, Im warning you!). I love my car. Still running strong over a month later.

I bought a used car from Capital Auto Sales, and was influenced heavily on the fact they offered a 50% off labor policy for all work in their garage. The salesman also promised they could fix my non-working cruise control. While I understand that problems come up, I have brought the car in several times for various issues and they havent actually fixed any of them. For example, they charged over $200 to fix issues my gas tank and I still have the same problems. They are nice in person, but frustration is exacerbated by very poor effort in returning phone calls. At least 3 or 4 times the salesman was going to call me back the next day to give me an answer, and never called until I reached out a week or so later. The car is generally ok, buying a used car is always a risk but I would not buy again.How do I specifically respond to your response below? I find it rather funny to get a response to this more than a year later. It turns out that the car I bought from you was SO MUCH WORSE than I knew when I wrote this. Capitol Auto Sales tricked me into buying a car that was a real lemon. It is nice that you are offering to accommodate me now, but unless you are willing to financially compensate me for the past mistakes of Capitol Auto Sales, I do not see any way to make it up to [me].

Man these dudes here are LEGIT. You get what you pay for simple as that. I got a Impala SS. Beautiful car needs a lil cosmetic repair but getting it repaired this week. So far so good I would recommend this place to anyone! Especially if your stuck in an auto loan and want to get out of it and have some cash on hand. This place cant be beat. Capitol is the truth. No lies just straight up facts. And my trade in wasnt even worth the amount owned on the loan and I knew this and they knew this and still helped me get into the SS. With no more loan. Bought a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade in June 2016. Sales staff was very friendly and helpful, and stayed late to help me out. The vehicle drove well when I tested it, and passed a quick inspection by me. I agreed to buy it as-is. It drove well for a month, but the transfer case went out abruptly, leaving the vehicle inoperable except in reverse. Capitol Auto offered to work on it for me, but I opted to replace it with a salvage yard unit. During this operation, I realized the vehicle had no front drive shaft in it. I added a salvage one (in December, it went bad. I bought a remanufactured one). Three months later I replaced the whole rear axle, and now Im working on the front passenger CV joint.I expected a bit of a project vehicle when I bought the Jeep, although things broke down quicker than Id hoped. Vehicle was at 169,000 miles at purchase. Im now just past 171,000. It drove me back into the woods up north all hunting season, and overall I love it.

The wheel popped off the first day of actually buying the vehicle. They semi fixed it. Three weeks later the other wheel popped off. Alternator just went the other day, while I was heading to work. Probably sunk about $1300 on top of the $3300 original price tag. Had about 1 month total drive time. Thats a pretty steep rental price. Dont go here.

The car has been good. Not perfect but overall I am happy with it. One problem I have is the difference in prices from whats on the website and what they have listed on the lot. Lost 500 bucks just because I didnt recheck the website. They did put some new brake pads on for free.

This place sucks. They sold me a lemon. Ran good the first day then dropped the fourth cylinder the next. Dont waste your time here.
