When my beautiful wife was ready for an upgrade from her Buick Enclave, we decided to shop around. After a horrible experience at Audi of Lansing (see my review for details) we decided to look elsewhere. We located a pre-owned 2013 Lexus RX 350 Sport at Lexus Ann Arbor via the net. We contacted Gerry Sibanda at Toyota to inquire. Gerry was gracious enough to have the vehicle brought to Lansing for a test drive. Upon driving it a mile down the road we knew this was the vehicle we were looking for! Had a couple of scratches/dings which is to be expected on a 7 year old rig. However, the car absolutely drove like a dream! Tight down the road, no rattles etc. If blindfolded I would have sworn it was brand new. Gerry worked with us on the price & gave us a fair trade in value on the Enclave. Gerry was professional, personable & an absolute pleasure to deal with! Service was quick. I had some warranty work done. The service tech (Terry) was friendly and helpful. The waiting room was comfortable.
I have owned Toyota’s all my life, I do my own maintenance, because there is usually none other than my oil changes. So I bought an OEM alternator for my Rav4, took out the old alternator for the core charge, and Then parts/service department said “no sticker on the old alternator so we can’t except the core charge, which just screwed me out of $75. So how am I supposed to keep a sticker on an alternator that’s 14 years old.
Apparently Spartan Toyota employees are oblivious to what’s around them. Around 8:10 am on Saturday, September 4th, two of them decide to use the E85 pump at the Speedway at 6041 South Pennsylvania Avenue. There are 14 pumps at the station, only two of which have E85. Both were occupied by these drivers instead of them realizing they had other pumps to choose from. One who was driving a RAV4 couldn’t get her receipt to print, and decided to walk inside to get it, making me wait even longer. She could have moved and chose not to. When she came out, I tried asking why she went to that pump. She ignored me and drove off.

Worst service for any car weve ever owned. Mixed up my husbands profile with my sons credit profile at the sale Still have issues with mixed up contact info and it has been 3 years. Have repeatedly asked that the sales dept not call us and they still call to see if we want to sell our current vehicle. Overall its been a horrid experience. Too bad as we love the Toyota product but we wont buy another as Spartan is the only service point for them.
After years of talking about buying a truck, the team here finally made it happen! It was nice to go somewhere and not have to argue on price. Had an oil change set for 7:30am and by 9:15 it wasnt even started because the service guy put 11 in the pick up time then tried to tell me we discussed that time frame. Why would I wait for 3.5 hours for an oil change?..they wouldnt answer their phones so I walked into the shop to ask someone and got nothing but bad attitude and told to find the guy who helped me during the drop off myself because he was busy. First time here and probably my last.

Had an appointment to look at a new 2021 rav 4 the car was sold before we got a day or so before they never called us to let us know. When we got there they had no new cars on the lot and hardly any used cars. So we test drove a similar car to the one we where interested in and ended up not liking it anyway we said thank you for your time and left and started looking into other brands and models of cars. We got emailed and phones almost daily asking if we where still interested in the RAV4 and told them a few times we already bought a new car from somewhere else the sales person asked what we got and we told him a 2022 Hyundai Kona to which he replied oh my goodness Im so sorry to hear that. Which to me was very rude and unprofessional. Maybe if you had a single new car to sale me we could have made a deal but instead you got to go and be a jerk

I explored buying a car from them a few years ago, and their sales practices are pretty aggressive. They wanted signatures and commitments before being open about pricing breakdowns. They claim its an easy car buying process, but I found it patronizing and non-transparent
Great service at their service center! Techs there are always polite and explain what your vehicle needs, and what services they performed. With each visit the perform an inspection and give you a report on the state or your vehicle. Theyve also washed my car before I came to pick it up!

Got my 2021 Toyota Tacoma through these guys after multiple other dealerships in the Saginaw area did not have ANY! They had a TRD Off-road but it was out of my price range for a monthly payment. Fred in sales worked his butt off to find me a 4cyl. coming in with an access cab but I was sold on a double cab V6. Seth spoke with my dad who made the trip in one day after work for me and Seth found one that was just assigned to them that day. They were able to get my down payment through a credit authorization form so I didn’t have to make the 1.5 hour drive until it was convenient for me to pick up my sweet new ride. Matt the financial manager was an absolute pleasure to work with. Everyone there was completely transparent about the whole process, what they were selling me, and where we were at each step of the way. I HIGHLY suggest buying/leasing through Spartan Toyota. There was 0 pressure to buy any extra warranty/insurance for it, purely information being relayed to me as a suggestion if it fit my driving style. I cannot be happier with my experience with this dealership. Now I understand why my Step Mom, mom, step dad, grandparents on my mom’s side of the family have only bought Toyota’s through them.

The maintenance check the service department did on my Highlander was thorough and found items I wouldnt have caught on my own. They ended up saving me money in the end and were as quick with the service as I would have hoped. I am a loyal customer for the life of my car. Excellent service.

Gerry did an incredible job finding the best car for my needs. I didnt need to negotiate because everything on the lot was priced at market value. My Rav4 was pre-owned and Gerry made sure it was immaculate when I drove it off the lot!Even a year later I still think about how thankful I am to have been able to afford a reliable Rav4 for my first car!

From the sales process with Gerry, financing with Clint, and now I just took one of our vehicles in for oil change and service maintenance we purchased as an add-on. All the service staff were friendly, helpful, and thorough with COVID safety procedures with masks and sanitizing. I felt very safe in the customer lounge, working on my laptop while I waited for my vehicle. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a simple 4x4 no frills truck that was good on gas. Spartan was the only dealership in the area that had a pickup truck that fit my specific budget and needs. I decided on a 2020 Tacoma SR5 access cab that Im averaging 24.5 miles per gallon. My new truck costs me about $20 per week in gas and I could not be happier with my purchase. It has a full length 6 foot bed and lots of standard options that make me feel like Im driving a luxury sedan. The ride of the front coil spring suspension would not tell that it is a rugged 4x4 truck. The advanced cruise control system adjusts speed to the flow of traffic making hectic commutes a breeze. Interior seating is comfortable which I havent found on lower trim levels in equal competitor options( SR5 goes up to premium and TRD and so on, but very nice at the SR5 level.) . Every employee I encountered that day gave me the indication they were being themselves while representing professionalism. I would 100% buy here again.

The service department is sub-par at best. I dropped my truck off on a Monday and was told it would be ready that Wednesday as it was a minor service. On Wednesday I had to call them for an update and was told it was about an hour to go and Thursday morning I would be out the door. Thursday came and went, no call from anyone, I call them they say oh yeah Friday morning come pick it up, Friday came and went, no-one had any information on my truck. Wonder if Ill ever get it ...

I bought a used car from spartan Toyota with a promise that they would repair scratches on the car. When I brought the vehicle back they caused more damage to the vehicle than they fixed. I had to bring the car back in to be looked at numerous times and they ended up working on it two more times. Every step of the way I dealt with poor communication, unreturned phone calls and broken promises. They ended up sanding through the clear coat of my car and refused to fix it. The only other option I was offered was them buying my car for a pitiful amount. This was an incredibly disappointing experience and has wasted a lot of my time. Spartan toyota was insulting and disrespectful.
I have a warranty on the paint of my 2009 Rav 4. The paint is chipping off pretty badly and it’s very obvious. Took it in because they have to “inspect” it to make sure it qualifies for the warranty and a new paint job. First trip, said I was all good to go. Called me a day or two later saying they didn’t take pictures of my car to send to Toyota. Had to bring it back in and leave it with them for 9 hours? 9 hours to take pictures of a car that has paint clearly chipping off everywhere? But no! Called me a couple days later AGAIN and they didn’t take the correct pictures. So now i am bringing it in for a third time just for pictures!! It hasn’t even been approved for a new paint job. Absolutely absurd.
I had a problem with my 2012 Prius making a loud noise. I spoke with Dominic in service and said based on the noise it might be serious but bring it in. This was about 1:45 pm. I got a friend to follow me in case I had to leave it.I arrived and Dominic said it was not serious and could be fixed in about an hour. I was pleased to hear that. The repair was complete in about an hour and I was on my way, I was happy that I got it in and taken care of quickly. Everyone was helpful.
The service agent checked me in, gave me a estimated time to expect completion. I was called promptly when my vehicle was ready and checked out quickly. The agents were professional and friendly.
Had my RAV4 in for 5,000 mile service. Mike Smith was my service coordinator. Mike was great and the service took about what I expected. Waiting room was clean and neat however with COVID, take something to entertain yourself. P.S. I dont give 5 stars.
My car needed scheduled service and there were several cars entering the service area ahead of me. I expected a long wait, but the car was ready when promised, which was not very long for all the service done on it. In addition to the scheduled service, they found and replaced several burned out light bulbs, only one of which I was aware of. Checking in and out were quick and the person I dealt with was thorough and friendly. The cost was reasonable. A good experience all around.

I worked with Stafen Garrison for about a month be for I bought my 4runner. I had 3 other dealerships giving me the same deal but it came down to the $20 oil change for life, lifetime power train warranty, and having my sales person local. I played with the numbers on every web site you can think of. USAA had the best deal with Spartan Toyota giving $3100 off msrp. Everyone else was way below but would match it. So if you are a Veteran and looking for the best deal Spartan Toyota will take care of you like you are family. Give Stafen a call tell him Matt sent you.
Spartan Toyota does a great job every time. I have never felt pressured during service calls, and the work done is completed at a fair price by an expert. I have purchased 3 used cars from them and look forward to my next purchase.
I have only made two visits to the dealership since moving to the area. Both experiences have been good. Dominick in the service department was very honest and helpful. He only recommended services that were needed. I will continue to bring my Toyota truck here for routine service. The staff in the parts department was also friendly. Got ripped off on my car. Lied to my face and told me there was no $1000 rebate and kept money for themselves. Any repair work done was overcharged. Will never do business there again and have refused to buy Toyota products because they are the only local dealership. Walk away. No, run away.
I returned my leased Toyota to Spartan Toyota. I honestly was not planning on getting another Toyota because I wanted to buy my next vehicle and Toyota’s are more than I thought I could afford. I had my letter from the bank saying how much money they would lend me and the Interest rate and Toyota matched it - so I bought a car I love ata price I can pay! The sales guys were not over-the-top salesmen (John Howell was my sales guy - he was great) and I felt treated with respect and dignity - not always an automatic for a single woman buying a car.
Couple years ago my 2003 Sienna started to have AC trouble so we had the dealership check out why it seemed to have less cooling power. They said the coolant needed recharging, so they did that. A few months later the AC started to fail again, and they put some dye in the coolant to find the leak. Later said they couldnt find the leak. Rinse and repeat for a total of 5 visita to their shop with fails everytime. So this time we brought it to Chucks Garage, and they diagnosed the problem in a couple hours: the heating/cooling lines that service the back seats are unprotected, so they rust out. And this is the most common reason that ACs fail in these older minivans. Chucks fixed and Im a happy camper. These Toyota clowns are incompetent.

I always have a good experience in the service dept. They seem to always attempt to get you in and out as quickly as they can. My service rep is always professional and courteous. I think $60 is crazy for a interior air filter, but I understand they have employees and bills to pay, and besides the cheap oil changes that come with new vehicles are a great perk!

Recent service for an airbag recall and a drivers seat malfunction was good with the exception upon arriving home, I found that my hood was not latched down tight. As I drove into my driveway my son asked me why my hood was open. I was very lucky after driving 30 miles on a freeway at 70 mph that it didnt pop open.
I love it here. They are so friendly and look out for the customer over profit which is greatly appreciated.

I needed .to make an appointment before closing, and I worked all night until 7pm today. I will call tomorrow, unless someone can call me. I am nervous about the looser steering?This minor, but I was just a little disjointed when I realized that I did get the usually car wash, because my grandson rubbed dirt on my passenger side door, and I saw it still there today, it was a little damp out when I left, so it looked as if it was washed after being parked outside as a courtesy for me to pickup. Still 5 ⭐️’s. Thank you!
