This was the first time I’ve bought a car remotely. But Michael’s accessibility and transparency made the purchase a pleasure. He did a video call with me and showed me, in real time, all that I wanted to see. He did a “cold start” for me during the video, even placing his hand on the manifold beforehand to confirm the car hadn’t been started that day, and he let me see and hear the engine come to life as it fired up. That meant a lot as the car is a Diesel, and you can learn a lot by hearing a Diesel start up. Michael then met an independent mechanic who I chose for a pre-purchase inspection. The mechanic attested to the strong condition of the car. And Michael worked with me to get a good deal on shipping the car from Florida directly to our driveway (and in much less time than I thought it would take). Unable to travel to Florida at the time, but being very interested in the unique car he had available, I was a little uneasy about purchasing remotely. Now, with the car in the garage and a driving experience that exceeded my expectations, I’m glad I did.

I have never had an easier experience in buying a used vehicle! Micheal was so accommodating, he brought the truck to me for first looks, brought it to my house for the sale and even delivered the tag to me! What a guy, an no pushy salesman gimmicks either. The truck is older so it has some quirks but Micheal made sure it had a tune up an oil change first. Thankyou so much!

I purchased a vehicle for a friend at LOR and the experience was great. We where given the keys to the vehicle and allowed to inspect it as long as we wanted with no pressure. We took the car out for a test drive and Mike even filled the tank up for us. Mike was willing to negotiate on price and we ended up with a price that I was happy with. So far the car is great and the experience was perfect.

I have never dealt with a bigger scam artist then the owner Mike of LOR motors. We purchased a Porsche Boxster and from the moment we were handed the keys the lies started. We were missed lead on several items that turned out to be major problems. We were promised that the convertible top was water tight but the first major storm we came out to a car with 4 inches of water flooded in the interior, And guess who had to pay for the new top, us! We paid $8000 for the car and ended up having to put $5000 into repairs! We requested our money back for the car immediately but were subject to games that went on and on over the course of a couple of months, ultimately we were never given a refund and got stuck with the car! After talking to a lawyer we approached Mike to settle out of court and he told us not to contact him anymore! Not only are we taking him to court but I would recommend to any and all to stay clear of this dealership! Its a scam and I would highly doubt any positive ratings from this company as being legitimate. I know that the money we spent on repairs and the hassles that we faced were nothing short of a nightmare and the owner Mike seemed to be entertained by our loss and his gain. We are taking him to court, learn from our mistakes and shop elsewhere! They offer zero warranty and supposedly Carry nice vehicles? The mechanic referred by Mike himself actually told WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE purchased a car from this company without paying for an FIRST! Wish we could have trusted LOR motors but any specs and would have revealed over 15 items that needed to be repaired/replaced on a car that looked very pretty on the outside.

Finding a reputable used car dealer you can trust is sometimes difficult. I recently bought a PT Cruiser from L.O.R. Motors in St. Pete and these folks are all aces. It is clean, runs perfect and had low miles and a great price. They have a bona fide competent mechanic on staff and an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau which adds to their credibility (and inspires confidence when dealing with them). I did not sense any chicanery or mendacity at all-just 100% professionalism and courtesy. Forget about the stereotype of used car lots staffed by jokers in checkered suits,wrap around sunglasses and gold chains and reeking of cheap cologne. No, none of that here. Hats off to L.O.R. Motors on 49th St in St Pete.
