This place is amazing! Havent got a single thing that tastes bad. The barbacoa and lengua tacos are on point Everytime. Even the chips and salsa you get with your meal seems like its made from scratch. Another amazing part of this places is that for every dish you buy you can buy all the ingredients take home with you and make it yourself so the sell what they cook with!

Waiter was amazing. Very comfortable atmosphere. Mexican Style Chicken Tacos were delicious but what you really need to try is their Green Hot Sauce! 😍😍😍

The vibe upon walking in is mom and pop local restaurant with a few tables and a few booths. The waitresses are kind and welcoming for non-Spanish speakers. I point that out because the authenticity of the restaurant could potentially humble those who are not regular patrons. The burritos and quesadilla we ordered were at the level of perfection. Sufficient portion sizes of very fresh food. Excellent drink selection. Clean and prompt service.There is also an adjoining grocery with ample supply for any cooking needs, including meats and fresh produce.

I could live off of their al pastor for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. I drive all the way out from Bradenton and will be buying the meat by the pound (which they do) the next time I go.And the chips they bring out before your tacos are thick, crispy and fresh. Definitely ask for some of their green salsa if you like spicy, its hot but so so so delicious.Hands down my favorite place to go for tacos and they are so affordable!

Ive been looking for a go-to Mexican spot with authentic Mexican style tacos. Ive tried the al-pastor, fried carnitas and chorizo. They were excellent! The price was amazing. Good chips and salsa. We enjoyed it with a couple of bottles of Modelo. Staff is friendly. They also have a grocery store and butcher shop. With reasonable prices. Ralphael was super nice and helpful. Will definitely go back.

Tremendous. Got 3 gorditas for 12.99. I ate two because I was hungry, but they were quite large. My wife didn’t finish the other one. Highly recommend.

Delicious authentic tacos — really flavorful meat and generous portions!You can get them Mexican style (cilantro, onions, radishes and lemon) for about $1.99 each or American style (with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream) for $2.50. (I recommend getting them American style — sooo yummy and even more filling.)Since I’m on keto, I got mine without the tortillas and done American style. I ate 3 and was really satisfied afterward!Our waitress was Jasmine and she was incredibly nice and attentive! The restaurant has comfortable sitting and is located inside a market. So when you’re done eating, you can choose to look around in the market section of the place.I’ll definitely be coming back here! It’s one of the best taco places I’ve tried!

Best tacos in Clearwater! Excellent selection of tacos, great prices and friendly staff. Highly recommend the chicken and carnitas tacos... some of the best Ive had. Theres a store joined to the restaurant, which was great for picking up a few snacks and desert.

We ordered 4 different varieties of tacos: the staple pollo and carne types, as well as cuerito (pork skins) and lengua (tongue). The tacos are right above par compared to most taquerias and taco trucks Ive tried so far, so what makes this place stand out to me is the latin mercado attached! As a huge fan of spices, of course their selection of dried chili peppers 🌶️ and authentic hot sauces caught my attention! Not only are you able to get some amazing tacos and other Mexican inspired dishes from the restaurant side of the building, but the market side has its own order counter with cuts of meats and dessert dishes to take home. If you use GPS, the location is at the end of the plaza 😉 Great job guys!

We love this little Mexican restaurant. Every time we go to Honeymoon Island we stop here on the way home and get a few pounds of beef, and chicken for tacos. Feeds our whole family

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in all of the Tampa Bay area. The staff is so personable and the food is AMAZING!! As a Mexican American, I can tell you that this is as authentic as it gets. I’ve compared it to other places and you just don’t get the same flavors. The atmosphere is so-so, but the food and service is well worth putting that aside for a day. I come here at least once a week and happy I do.

Love this place one of the authentic Mexican spots and markets I know about in Pinellas

My wife and two teenage boys had a nice meal here featuring lengua and chicken tacos and empenadas. The tacos were fresh and fantastic, the meat was tender and correctly prepared, and my son and I agreed (his words) the empenadas were bussin and the best part of the meal. I only wish they had house made and not canned salsas with the food, but they are a grocery store and its probably easier to serve off the shelf options. Four stars for an overall awesome experience!

I ordered menudo soup for first time here.Disgusting...Menudo was not cleaned properly so as you are chewing the tripe you feel GRIT when chewing.I will never trust or eat at this restaurant again.Carmelitas is 100% on making Menudo.Just thought I would give this business a try.They failed horribly.

Found this place and was very happy. Real Mexican food! But on our second visit it wasnt all that good. The Chile rellenos tasted horrible, like the had been in the freezer unwrapped. It also seemed like someone else was cooking this time. Everything didnt taste as good. I also saw roaches in the restroom. Dont think we will be going back

Great hole in the wall with authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine. The servers were friendly and available when needed. I ate multiple servings of chips and dip (salsa & guacamole). The chips were natural & crisp and the dips were fresh & flavorful. I munched down on the Gorditas from the menu in flavors: pork, steak and chicken. The proportion was big and the meal was scrumptious! I came back the next day to try the authentic tacos in flavors: pork, steak and chicken. Once again great service & flavor the second time around. I would highly recommend both items on the menu. I also had one of their juices made out of cucumber and lime, I cannot recall the name but it was also great.

The tacos I had were flavorful except for the carne asada. It was kinda fatty. The service did make up for that. Ill be returning next taco Tuesday.

Waitress was friendly and doing everything except cooking. I ordered the Flautas plate with no cheese and it was loaded with sour cream. Didnt expect sour cream so didnt know to tell them to leave it off. Not on menu description either. Salsa that came with chips was more of a hot sauce with no tomatoes. Not sure of the region of Mexico this food originates from but its not from any region that Im familiar with. Ive been eaten my way trom coast to coast and border to border and where this is authentic to I cant say. This really reminds me of Cal-Mex more than any regional version of Mexican.

One that looks like a grocery and one that looks like a restaurant. The restaurant is inside the grocery store. The restaurant sign just leads to a locked door.

I loved their authentic Mexican tacos! My favorite was their steak, but their pastor (seasoned pork) were a close runner up. Our waitress Yasmín was the best! I’ll definitely be coming back here soon.

The food had that sense of authenticity that most Tex Mex chains restaurants try to achieve. The service was good and the food came out well prepared in the looks department. One star off just cause I feel they can make the look of the place a little better. Other than that I will def be back.

I went there on Friday and ordered about $60 worth of tacos Al pastor, carnitas chorizo bistec 4 agua frescas 1 de mango, 2 de horchata, 1 de pepinoThe taco meats were burnt la aqua de pepino was overly sweetened with lemonade nasty horchata was like drinking milk with alot of sugar...The waitress was the sweetest
