Where do I start. I reserved 5 Uboxes and movers directly from the Uhaul site for delivery & move the beginning of July. On moving day the movers were hours late with no communication, which I later was told because Uhaul had been sending them to multiple locations to try to find empty Uboxes for me. After finally arriving the movers did a great job, so no complaints there, but once the ball has been back in Uhauls court they have dropped it multiple times, actually at every turn. Next up are my lost Uboxes full of belongings.A couple weeks after my Uboxes were loaded and put into storage I called to update my card on file, after an hour on hold I find out from the CSR that it only looks like they have 3 of my 5 Uboxes in storage. Where at my other 2 boxes? She has no clue and seems perplexed, so she lets me know she will send a message to the location storing my other 3 (this Largo location) to have them look for them and get back to me with 48 hours. Nobody ever calls....for well over a week. I call back to wait on hold over an hour again. CSR tells me the same thing, she doesnt even know what the other box numbers are, which luckily I took pictures of when we loaded them, but she will send a message to the branch to look for them and get back to me....days later still no response or call back. I am being told that 40% of my belongings are lost and noone seems to care nor help for weeks. Finally my 3rd call results in a helpful CSR who explains that the internal messages dont always get read or responded to timely, but she will basically escalate my issue and flag it which will require someone to respond. Finally. At long last I receive some correspondence from this Largo branch when a rep calls me to say they have been there the whole time, something about not linked to reservation or something. So finally after weeks of talking to reps and waiting on hold they have actually attempted to find them and did so successfully. Were my belongings not important enough to even look or call me for weeks? I am obviously relieved beyond belief that my boxes are found, so I decide to let the entire fiasco go and put it behind me. Unfortunately Uhaul strikes again. This past Friday I was informed I needed some documents for my mortgage lender which were in one of my Uboxes, so I do what anyone needing access to their stored belongings, go to the storage facility. I arrive where I am told that I would need to give them 24 hours to retrieve mine and I would need an appointment, not exactly conventional storage but I agree and make an appointment for 72 hours later, today at noon. Once I arrive to my appointment, after my second 40 minute one way trip to get time sensitive documents to buy a home, I am told that they must have missed the request so your boxes arent here, but I can have them bring them over for tomorrow. Thats right folks, its official, no one does their job at Uhaul. No one sees messages, no one returns phone calls about lost uboxes, no one retrieves customers stored boxes, and surely noone at this location cares about your time. If my prior experience with their representatives have taught me anything it is that my boxes will not be here tomorrow either, I will need to come back a 4th time to get access to my own belongings.Do yourselves a huge favor and under no circumstance use this Uhaul location, or any, unless you enjoy endless hours on hold, terrible service and misplaced belongings.
The people here were nice but uhaul has become a terrible company to do business with. Hire movers if you can
