May I just say, after going through the list of nearby computer repair, refurbished location, I was able to locate this location here in Layton.The experience was superb, both gentlemen that welcomed me were very thorough, attentive, and overall superb at providing customer service.Their knowledge with my issue and computer software was superb. They even were able to educate me on a few things pertaining to my computer. I purchase a full computer set up, with dual screens from them; due to great customer service, pleasant environment they definitely scored a return customer in me and my family. GCB initially helped me upgrade my PC. It went very smoothly and for much less than I anticipated, which was a very welcome surprise as it ran everything I wanted perfectly. They deep cleaned it as well, which it desperately needed. It ran flawlessly for 4 years until I recently upgraded again. In which I sought their advice, and successfully installed my new components without a problem. Super friendly staff. Good prices and fast service. Not much else you can ask for. Highly recommend

Called to ask for more information about a laptop and was told What do you want me to tell you, it likes long walks on the beach? I responded with a simple, more specific, question about the age of the computer and was basically told it was a dumb question. The older guy (I think his name is George) really needs to learn a thing or two about basic customer service. Definitely will not be going back because the staff cant manage to have a conversation with being rude and condescending. Thanks George.

I want to say I knew GCB when they first started in their home. In their garage area. The daughter was kind and they did the best they could. They were helpful and willing to work with you. They were tiny but mighty. Now sadly it seems the other way around. Since they bought their new store they seem way standoffish and aloof. They always keep the front door locked and someone has to let you in. And they hover I we you like you will steal something. The last two time I went in it was dead inside. No customers, no workers. Just Thomas. Last time I went in I spent 30 minutes trying to make a purchase. I am not tech savvy so I wanted to make the best choice possible. Things were not well explained to me. It felt uncomfortable 🥵😣. I was also told all sales final. No returns ever. And no gaurantees. So if I bought a system and it broke I was outta luck. When I called back the owner George wasnt kind. He got mad I wasted Thomass time and was upset at me. He said some not nice things and I hung up. Which has me puzzled. They went from a family owned business focused on customer service to being about the money it seems. They have no tech support and it is worrisome they sell used computers that could break anytime and they wont stand behind their work. Thats just no good business. They may be cheap but you take a risk. If it breaks your in trouble. I would say go somewhere else. Or they need to focus on costumer service and rethink how they do business.

I called just to ask about some listings. Whoever answered was rude and when I challenged some of the details so I understood the specs a little better, he corrected me with a condescending tone. That’s some bad customer service right there.I was right about the specs regardless so I’d say their knowledge about stuff is more-so based off an assumption that people aren’t as tech savvy.Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend them just based off of customer service.

GCB was a very nice buying experience. My son decided to buy a laptop, and the family computer was in dire need of upgrading. The laptop and desktop we found at GCB were hundreds less than comparable systems I had found at other refurbishers. It is a plus for GCB that they give a good, hands on sales experience so you can make sure the systems work well before leaving the store. So far we are very pleased with our purchases and experience.The only negative and a very minor one, was finding the store. We drove right by the store and had to call to find it, since they are in a shared building. It looked like the shipping business WAS the whole building.

Need to learn some customer service skills. Inquired on a listing missing specs and was told to refer to the listing, then he deleted it completely. Not professional. I was ready to buy but instead you just lost a customer, nice job!...now the owner lies and blocks me saying that I used profanity in the conversation we had which I attached the screenshot of. Another great example of how he conducts his business by the way genius, its still posted on ksl missing the screen resolution, youll also notice he tells me its 1366x768 then updates the ad to 1600x900

I bought a computer from this company and brought it home and the computer wouldnt load the web browser. This was about two weeks ago I bought the computer and I havent had a chance to call them because I have been at work. The owner George decides he is going to start the conversation off very rudely for no reason. Told me why I havent called sooner and saying that I probably gave the computer a virus but I just turned it on for the first time yesterday and it wouldnt load or even shut off it just froze. Very poor customer service and poor computer quality. I will not be doing business with this company anymore and I would NOT recommend them to anyone else. I wouldnt have given any stars but in order to post you have to give at least one.

Bought a Gigabyte GTX 1650 from these guys. I go to swap it out on my computer, and the computer wont go past the Intel booting screen. So I reinstall my old card (to be certain it wasnt an error on my part) and my computer boots up fine, no problem. I call back into the store (speaking of, the female you have on your phones should pick up some customer service skills -- but not really the point here). I talked to Chase, the guy who sold me the graphics card. The majority of his problem solving is saying Thats weird then giving some vague solution, which amounted to nothing.Im out $172 on what Im pretty confident is a bad graphics card. Guess its on me. That all sales are final, no refunds or exchanges policy must pretty nice to have in place.I will never recommend these guys to anybody. Go somewhere else, or even save up a bit to purchase an outfitted computer outright. Youll be better off.

We have been buying our computers here for years. The prices are unmatched. They are great to help get the computer you need for the price you can afford. My wife and I and all six our kids have computers from here.

They sold me a defective I5 6500. It works but you have to reboot the PC 3 times to finally make it turn on. They also dont have any kind of return policy, which I kind of get, however if you are going to have a policy like that you should test the hardware with the customer there before selling it to you. They have some cool stuff but obviously they dont have a good enough vetting system to ensure that the used goods are 100% functional.

Between me and family members, we have purchased six or seven computers from GCB Computers as well as loading software and other services. They have always been excellent to work with.

I thought these guys are pretty cool until I had brought my laptop in after a week of owning it because it was under warranty thinking that it would be not an issue just to get a new bezel because the bezel broke off of my Dell laptop but the customer service I received when returning about getting it fixed was very unpleasant and there was a horrible experience terrible customer service dont go to these guys its not worth it.

Fantastic experience. I needed a windows based laptop for one specific need.Bought a cheapo at Walmart and was sorely disappointed. Returned it and found an ad listing for GCB on Facebook marketplace. I decided to stop in and ended up with an even better deal than I anticipated from the listing. They didnt try and sell me more computer than I needed and were very helpful. The used machine was less than half the price of the big box one and is easily 4 times faster and even has touch screen.Ill do business with these guys whenever possible. Thank you.

These guys fixed my desktop but when we couldnt get it working right in my location (just too far from the WI-FI) they traded it out for a whole new one that is WAY better, downloading all my data and giving me everything I wanted. These guys knew much better than I did what I really needed and they set me up for a really good price. Highly recommend.

The post mentioned as well as others in the marketplace page are all gone for me now. Thats pretty bad to do to somebody trying to leave legitimate, polite constructive criticism. Im leaving the 2 stars at least because they were nice when I talked to them about the 1080p monitor mentioned below._____________________I havent managed to make a purchase from these guys but ive had 2 interactions with them. A while back when they were still at a residential address I attempted to purchase a 1080p monitor but they said they were saving them for entire system package deals only, I didnt have any issues with that really but that did prevent the purchase. They also have a history then through now of not listing many specs with sufficient details for somebody who already knows a lot about parts to make a proper judgment about value in a more detailed capacity or perhaps is looking for certain specifics. Brand, for example is missing a lot. I commented that in a very nice way on a custom built listing with higher end parts in which the finer details do matter trying to be helpful on a FB post recently and they deleted my comment.

So I bought a laptop from the place I was told that it was marked down because it had some issues with the right USB port and that was it what the guy failed to mention was that he sold me a faulty battery I know that its my fault for not being thorough when I was checking the product but Im mainly concerned about either being blatantly lied to, sold a product that was incorrectly marked, or a product that the person selling it to me new little to nothing about it. Im going to see if I go and get the battery replaced if that happens ill give it five stars

I had an excellent experience buying a laptop from GCB today. They are very knowledgeable about the devices they work with and their prices are extremely reasonable. I purchased the Lenovo Carbon Yoga which is priced at $400 from GCB. The closest thing I could find on online stores was both not in as good of condition and was priced considerably higher. I came in and told them what I was looking for as well as my budget. They didnt try to up-sell me and worked with me to stay within my budget which I was very grateful for. Overall, 5 stars, I will definitely be recommending them!

Best computer deals and service in the state!However, do not buy their $10 wireless adapters. They are junk! It constantly disconnects (acts like it was unplugged - not dropping signal) and gets way hotter than it should (probably the reason for the disconnecting).

Ive purchased multiple laptops over time here. At first with the amazing customer service I was given, I expected to find a last minute massive antivirus / computer wellness and checkup junk software sales pitch at check out like the big box stores when buying recent Chrome books for school and birthdays. I dont speak computer but they put a great effort into ensuring I had a good experience along with my questions being expertly answered. Another highlight was our sun who just turned 12 on Sept 15 needed a Chrome book so badly he promised he would mow the lawn and clean his room without being asked for the rest of his lifeif he could get a touch screen Chrome book. We gave him a week, it turned out to be roughly 3 days. Then today after 20 minutes in the store he told me he had a change of heart and has converted to the I5 he held in his hands. So it looks like the $300 plus pen tab will be cycled down to his 6 year old brother... after he earns this from mowing the lawn and clearing the snow. This store has machines that are in excellent condition in all i5, i7 etc generations. Something for everyone based precisley your needs. I noticed many of them have built in CAC readers so that may explain some. In the end this store is fantastic and after today I just dont see my self walking back into a big box store for any reason.
