This place is awesome, the staff that I dealt with (Luke and the other gentleman in household plumbing) were extremely friendly and helpful. I purchased a part that wasn’t quite working like I needed it to and they switched me out with a different, slightly more expensive one free of charge. I will definitely go back to this store again if I need any other plumbing products. I highly recommend them.

I needed to match some paint that I had bought several years ago. I went to a paint place in Ogden. I gave the guy a color name and number . He said he couldn’t help me, didn’t even try. I came to this store and Jesse was so nice and helpful. He made sure I left there with the color I wanted. So if you need paint ask for Jesse.

Great place for plumbing supplies. They are a little low on some items right now, but they get supplies in pretty quick and the help is great, they can usually find what you need or a suitable item to get your job done. They are good at multi tasking.

This is thee best place to get professional grade Christmas Lights! I had no idea this was possible until someone told me. Geno was very helpful and told us exactly what we needed to do step-by-step. He is knowledgeable and very helpful - plus a super funny guy. I would highly recommend Standard Plumbing for your holiday lights - especially for the average homeowner like me! If I could, I would rate them even higher than 5 stars! So awesome!

We purchased some bathroom faucets from another store and the drain piece was the wrong size, so it barely drained the water in the sink. We went to Standard Plumbing Supply to see if they had a solution to fix it. The gave us 3 new drains from display models, for free, and it worked perfectly. We should have just purchased the faucets from them in the first place. Next time we will! Great customer service!

We had quick and knowledgeable customer service! After having to explain what a simple hardware part was to a person at a different store because they didnt know what it was I was extremely frustrated. When I went to standard plumbing they knew exactly what the part was and we were in and out of store in a matter of minutes. The part was a great price too! Im definitely coming back.

Geno at Sprinkler World is fantastic! He is not only knowledgable, he will patiently teach me all about fixing my own sprinklers. I get great assistance until I feel my sprinkler issues are resolved. He is approachable and non-condescending when I ask questions. I love and appreciate such wonderful customer service!

I went in just a few weeks ago to get ideas for the home I am building. Once into the showroom I was greeted with a Hello and continued to look at the different bath tubs, faucets and whatnot for a couple minutes longer. Then the showroom lady came over and asked if I had any questions, if I was looking for bathroom or kitchen fixtures. We then started to go about the showroom, and every product we came upon she was very knowledgeable, helpful, also concerned that I was getting exactly what I wanted. I like that she gave me space to look about and gave me time to weigh my different options. This is the place to go when you are building, remodeling, or just getting a replacement. I love Standard Pumbing in Layton! The customer service was the best I ever had! We had a bathroom flood that now has to be completely remodeled and Luke has helped us every step of the way! He made a stressful situation so easy and was so helpful every step of the way! He explained all options for faucets and showers and tubs (who knew there were so many options and so many things that needed to be done correctly and figured out)...He was so nice and patient when i kept changing my mind and did it with a smile! He was able to help us and get us the perfect bathroom! The rest of the staff was amazing as well and very helpful too! If you need help with plumbing, picking out fixtures, information on what to pick out or just want to go in an browse its the best place with the best help! We love standard plumbing in Layton!

I’m pretty sure that the 1 star reviews I’ve read about this place have been written by shoppers that had a chip on their shoulder well before stepping into the store. I don’t have much experience shopping on the showroom floor but I’ve gone to the plumbing area several times to try and resolve problems I was working on at home. Every time I’ve gone in, I’ve been educated by very helpful, very kind employees and have left with working solutions. They’ve always either been able to locate the information I couldn’t find after hours of searching online (such as spec sheets on an old kitchen faucet etc.) or they’ve simply had the expertise and patience to educate me through my problems. Furthermore, I’ve never felt like I’m being sold. They’ve always tried to help me find the most simple, cost effective yet solid working solution.

Had the parts I’ve needed every time. Great staff, goes above and beyond wiether I’ve been there for a 30 cent item or 400 dollar water heater they treat me like I’m the most important customer they have. Highly recommend if in the need of plumbing or sprinklers.

SERIOUSLY dont recommend this store -- from the reviews they are either really good or really bad. Mine has been really bad. I purchased a part for a faucet that had to be sent in from a different store. When I tried to cancel within 20 min of the order (I hadnt even left the store yet!) I was promised that if I wanted to cancel the next day once I tried the other part I found I could cancel -- full refund. No mention of a any reduction in the refund. I called back later the same day and cancelled the order -- I was then told was going to have take two weeks anyway! I had to call back two weeks later because it wasnt refunded as promised because the paper got moved. A few days later I checked my statement again -- I only got 1/2 of the refund! I specifically asked if I would get a full refund if I cancelled later and the part obviously hadnt shipped when I called to cancel the same day of the purchase. I called again to complain about the reduced refund and requested to speak to the store manager, Luke. I was promised a call back. Didnt happen. Unresponsive. I wont go back and will be sure I tell everyone I know.

Stopped in today to get a bathtub. Asked for the Cambridge soaker and immediately the sales manager says she will probably need to send me to a conpetitors store to get it. This is before she even checked the inventory of her own store, let alone another branch. I tell her that we get that tub through Standard all the time. So she checks and sees that every other Standard in the area has the tub. So youll be more apt to send your business to a competitor than your own stores? One of the worst sales experiences Ive ever had. Its clear that what they want are moms to come in and chit chat about over priced shower valves. Not to sell rough plumbing.

Their customer service and knowledge surpasses any other supply house I have ever used! I’ve known Luke for 20 years, we both got into the plumbing industry at the same time and there’s not a better manager out there. We use Standard for all our plumber needs.

We could not believe how rude every single employee was. We went in ready to buy a tub today. I asked to see one that wasnt on display before I bought it and the lady acted bothered that I would even ask such a thing and then she took us to another guy who said that it was probably buried and just sat there and then the next guy said the best he could do was lift the corner of it up and then just left. We decided to just leave, their customer service skills talked us out of that purchase.

Great experience ended up buying a gasket and O ring, instead of the entire cartridge... weird part, I go to Lowes, some 18 year old kid didnt know what I wanted, couldnt help me, he told me if I cant find it myself just go to Dirks which is a sprinkling system company I went to standard instead should have went there first and Lowes should hire smarter employees or just go to Home Depot.... was in the plumbing section on the 26th of July about 2 in the afternoon.. thanks for saving my butt Standard Plumbing

The Manager is awesome. He has an exceptional personality and shows compassion to those do it yourself customers that may not totally understand their project needs and wants.

Very unhelpful employees. Actually very rude to me and my family when we go in there. We are in the process of remodeling a bathroom where we needed to purchase new hardware for the shower. We showed them a picture of what we needed (Shower head, nob, and valve). We then had to wait almost 2 weeks for a special color we wanted. Which is fine, because its exactly what we wanted. When they finally arrived, we picked them up and went to go install in our new bathroom - to find out that the valve wasnt even in there. I then called the next day wondering why they didnt include the valve. They were so rude over the phone - just like they are in the store, telling me Theyre OBVIOUSLY sold separate and that I would have to spend another $70 for ANOTHER 2 weeks for the valve to come. I then proceeded to tell the rude employee over the phone that I indeed showed them a picture of what we wanted, and the valve was supposed to be included. Cmon!You would think that if you showed a picture of what hardware you want, that they could easily get that ordered for you. Very unprofessional of them to be disrespectful to a customer that has to pay another $70 and wait another 2 weeks. I am not going to be purchasing from here again, and I encourage that none of you guys do either. They have great product, just terrible TERRIBLE customer service. I have never had a good experience here, and am sick of trying to give them a chance.

The staff has always been helpful... the first time I went there it was 5 minutes past closing but they still cheerfully helped me find what I needed. I have a bad back and knees and its torture to walk around looking for something--the staff here walks me to the item... much appreciated.Ive had the same experience in subsequent visits... Lance is especially helpful.This is maybe niggling a bit, but I dropped one star because some items I needed (albeit not real common) had a spot on the shelf, but were empty and hadnt been replenished after a couple weeks and they didnt have a way to find out when it would be in.All in all, though, a great place for plumbing supplies and hardware (Tru Valu Hardware is in the same building).

I ordered a few items to finish a bathroom. I dont have an account so you think they would be a little more interested in the order seeing as how they would make more money off of me by charging me more. After being put on hold 3 times Luke said he would call me back to see availability. I waited and waited. 3 days went by and no call. I called them today after my customer, who is now mad wanting to know when to schedule me to arrive, and all they said was- well its not in the system so....? There was no interest in fixing the problem when I asked what they are going to do about it. The person on the phone said it was written on a paper somewhere. Come on guys, really? I guess unless you are Whipple or Neerings with thousands of dollars a week in parts going through standard then your not important and are a nuisance. Well thats how I felt anyways. I dont care if I pay twice as much for the parts if the vendor takes care of my order. At least then I would have a happy customer and not look rediculous. Worst experience, horrible unprofessional customer service, would NOT recommend to a friend, maybe to someone I didnt like.
