My wife thought I was just ignoring her, but she realized that I couldnt hear all that she was saying. She took me to Live Better Hearing for a hearing test. The staff was very caring and kind. I did need hearing aids and now I can hear everything. Dr. Hood provided everything I would need to have better hearing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hood for two years now. When I first suspected I was experiencing hearing loss, I selected her based on high reviews. I have not been disappointed and the excellent reviews were spot on. She walks you through the hearing testing process and what everything means. Appointments always start on time and she really works with you to make sure your hearing aids are fine-tuned to your specific hearing issues. Dr Hood is amazing: She deserves five or even six stars. Rather than just diagnosing, she listens and understands first, which made me feel respected and really glad I picked them. My low rating is because of the Live Better back-office, which made an error and seemed reluctant to check it when I said it was an error. When my insurance paid, Live Better misclassified the payment and kept telling me my insurance had not paid. Eventually, after many calls, they forced me to set up a conference call between them and my insurance company. Me, the customer. Though it turned out my insurance company was right, I never got an acklowledgement let alone an apology from Live Better, even though this had delayed my hearing aids by more than three months. So, go there for a great doctor and be prepared for administrative problems.

I moved here from Texas a year ago and needed someone to work on my hearing aid. Live Better Hearing is the second place I tried. Dr. Hood is wonderful. I wasn’t that happy with the first place but I’m happy now.

I came hoping LBH would be a good retailer with convenient locations, I left feeling there was no better professional care in the area. Dr. Hood is tops, a consummately knowledgeable provider of audiology care and good advice. I like to keep relationships with top medical professionals, now Dr. Hood is my go-to audiologist.

Dr. Hood was thorough and professional. She analyzed both the tinnitus and the hearing loss. She explained the results and gave me a demonstration of the benefits afforded by a hearing aid. Michelle handled the appointment and the paperwork efficiently, and called ahead of time to be sure I understood the process and the fees. A day or two later Dr Hood walked me through the hearing aid options, providing the spec sheets I requested and advising me on the preferred version for my situation.

This practice is very accommodating and willing to work with their patients. Even better still, that the audiologist fit me in between appointments with a loaner hearing aid the morning I called and dropped off my hearing aid that had broken over the weekend. The ordering process and fitting of aids was a smooth process, although a bit long, and they were accommodating for the appointments in which my children were in attendance as well. Staff is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and willing to listen to my concerns and input into programming of the aids.

Dr. Kristen Hood has been excellent from meeting her through getting my new hearing aids and recommended some accessories that have really helped me hear better in my work environment.

Dr. Henry was able to program my hearing aids finally so that I dont have all the noise in the background. I have been to four other audiologists prior and none could get the programming right. I am totally deaf in one ear so have a transmitter and a receiver unit and it was tough getting them balanced. He has the good sense to play background noise so it is more realistic situation like at work when testing me as opposed to the others who had very quiet offices. This is where experience really counts and he has been doing this for a while. He is low keyed and didnt try and push me into buying newer hearing aids while introducing me to the latest technology so that when the dog eats this pair the next time I wont replace them but will upgrade them. I really appreciated that. This is how you get loyal customers who will come back, taking the time to listen and know their circumstances.
