I loved the farm. A must stop any/every time Im in town. The animals are nice, my dog made friends with the horses n llama, you can feed fresh green apples from the trees to the horse. Beautiful, not stinky, farm in an educational/entertainment venue. You dont have to pay if you just want to look from the outside fences and walk, your dog. The baby goats and baby horses were the best part, as the kids bounced from rock to rock.
Fun place to take the kids. The animals are gentle enough for even my toddler to feed. They even have baby sheep and goats the kids can pet. There are inside and outside portions to explore so you can take a break from the heat when you need to. I’m glad that we have a membership so we can stop by for 30 minutes before seeing other exhibits at thanksgiving point.
Such a fun place for the family. I would recommend getting a bag or two of animal feed at the front desk. There were tons of baby animals when we went which just adds to the cuteness! Our little one loves the pony rides and tractor rides. Its kind of small compared to the other parks at Thanksgiving Point but you can still spend an hour or so here. It also close to the dinosaur museum and Butterfly biosphere if you want to make it a longer trip.
Loved how its not that big because it does get overwhelming sometimes with to many children.Free pony rides with the purchase of each child ticket and a free wagon rides also. My favorite part was feeding the animals and petting the horses .. loved this place!!!
Took my 3.5 year old. Rode her first pony and bought her a stick horse at the surprisingly reasonably priced gift shop. Also tricked her into hand feeding a cow which was as gloriously slimy as Id hoped. Only complaint is the mens rooms do not have baby changing stations.Animals seem well treated and cared for even for the ones working. Im pretty sure I saw an air conditioning unit or at least a fan for the wagon draft horses to cool off where they got watered between rides. Staff seemed thoughtful and well trained with regards to the treatment and care of their charges. Animals were well fed but none overweight that I noticed. Many signs posted instructing visitors how to respect the boundaries of the animals in each area. My dad was with us and is a large animal veterinarian and didnt have any complaints. He pointed out the cow that slobbered up the toddler was pregnant.
My granddaughter just loved it. Especially the pony ride.
A fun experience for kids. There are many typical farm animals available to see and you can pet and feed some of the animals. To me, the pony/horse ride and the hay ride are what make it worth the price of admission. It was hot when we were there, so its good to know there is an air conditioned play area down past the cows that is easy to miss at first glance. Also, there were baby bunnies inside the main building that most people seemed to miss, because they are tucked back against a wall.
Not worth the regular price at all. Has many goats, bunnies, chickens, and some cows . The kids love the one pony ride they get with entrance. Trailer pull ride is fun. Its either pulled by a tractor or horses. There is a small play area small kids enjoy.
Lots of animals you can pet and buy $1 bags of feed. The animals and facility are very well maintained. Were even giving away chicks and selling turkey chicks for a low fee. Had a great time as an adult. Great place to take small children they can even get a pony ride.
So much fun, my kids love it! Definitley only worth it if you have the membership. But I would totally recommend the membership to families who live close and can come often. The unlimited pony rides alone makes it worth it for kids. Also buy the animal feed for a dollar at the counter instead of putting quarters in the machine for a small amount of animal feed. At the counter is much better value.
Son loves it. You can feed the animals. Kids will love it
I would give this place five stars if I didnt have to stand in the sun while waiting in line for over an hour, on a hot August afternoon, so my kids could ride the ponies. There are many interactive goats for the kiddos to feed as well as llamas, bunnies and cows. They even got to try milking a cow briefly.
It was so fun to watch my 4 year old ride a horse! Dont love on the goats too much! It took over 10x of washing for my hands not to stick!
Took my grand daughter here. A steep admission price, a tractor ride with no commentary, and a cow and a horse to pet. Good concept, expensive, should be more memorable, more interactive for the kiddos.
Super awesome place to bring the family. My children love feeding and petting the animals and riding the ponies. Their bathrooms are also immaculate. So thats a plus.
This was a fun place for the kids. A great petting zoo type farm experience. Wagon ride and pony ride (pony ride for kids under age 13 and under 100 lbs) included. Its fun to get a bag of feed at check in and feed the animals. My only complaint is admission prices feel a little high for what you get ($10 per person--verify prices for yourself to be sure) but that seems to be the norm at all Thanksgiving Point venues. Since we opted for a membership we will definitely be back soon.
2 things! Bring sun screen for your kiddos and quarters for feed. Most of the barnyard critters, even the big horses, are docile and will literally eat out of a childs hand. Just make sure you have a camera ready for all the fun!
Fun on the farm for all ages. Having an annual pass is recommended, as you will have unlimited pony rides. They also sell a variety of animals like bunnies, turkeys, chickens, and ducks. Also available for purchase at a great price are tulip bulbs from the tulip festival, and fresh produce from the junior master gardener program. Easily kill hours here with the kids.
We love visiting the animals here and the story time is always fun! I do wish there was a small playground outside to get a little extra energy out.
Great place to bring little kids. I even saw some adults who appeared to be there without kids, but I wouldnt recommend it for an adults-only outing. There are lots of farm animals for the kids to see, and there is also a pony ride and a tractor ride (on a large trailer pulled by a farm tractor).
Great place to learn about the farm. It’s simple and well kept. The kids had fun seeing the animals. They sell chicks, ducks, and other baby animals during certain times of the year. You can see them milk a cow and ride the ponies.
Its a great place to take young kids. You can pet the animals. And they can ride a pony or take a carriage ride
Omg! The animals here are not being taken care of at all. Every hen has almost no back feathers (due to way too many roosters!), the horses have some kind of rash around their mouth, the donkeys have growths all over the body, the cows are very itchy, and one of the horses seems (and Im not an expert) to have arthritis in the back legs. Everytime he walks the legs in the back are being dragged a little and he isnt bending his feet.I do think the way everything is set up nicely and the people working there arent bad at all, but...In short, the animals arent being taken care of. The staff is nice though. I dont know if I would recomend coming here.
My kids and I love the activities at farm country. With farm animals, a pony ride, tractor ride, and lots of playing around, Its a recipe for success. Plus, if you go in May, youre destined to see some cute baby goats.
Fun for little ones but expensive. Not very many animals to see and no petting or touching the animals. We went on the wagon ride and it was very disappointing. No explanation about what we were seeing or anything about the farm.
Somehow weve never made it over to farm country in all the time weve had passesb to Thanksgiving Point. It was so much fun. The kids liked the pony ride and the wagon, I liked feeding all the animals, esp the tiny goats.
We always enjoy our visit here. The pony rides a plus. The animals are fun to interact with and the inside play room is a nice respite from the heat. This visit had excessive flies and the chickens were all mislabeled in their pens (and too many roosters for those poor hens! 😜) But Ill not doc stars for that since it is a working farm and therefore cant always be picture perfect.
Great place for the whole family! My nieces and I had a great experience here.
Not bad, kids went around the farm in about 10-15 min and then waited a while in line for the pony ride. The ride was about 1-2 min. We had gone through other attractions at Thanksgiving Point so by the time we got to Farm Country they were ready for a nap and some lunch. We had 5 little boys with us and one girl. The boys enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit the most and the girl loved the butterfly biosphere which was also my favorite!
My kids like coming here and seeing the animals. They love the Pony Ride and the hay ride. Right now it’s cold and a lot of it is outside so we have to make sure the kids are bundled. It’s a good place that is close for the kids to get out some of the wiggles. They also do a good job with trying to keep people apart. They also have a cow that you can milk at certain times throughout the day. I have never done that so I passed. It’s a fun part of the Thanksgiving point membership.
Super fun! My kids loved it, even when the turkeys scared my two year old. 🤣🤣🤣
Was a fun place to visit & feed animals.Recommend!
Really fun place if you like animals its not good if you have allergies. They let you pet some animals and you can buy feed for them. Though there is a long line for the horse rides.
This is one of our favorite places to go with the little ones! It’s a cute farm setting that is easy to walk around with a stroller and/or let the kids walk beside you. There are cows, donkeys, chickens, roosters, turkeys, horses, pigs, ducks, sheep, goats and others that are at perfect eye sight for the kids. Our kids especially love the pony ride, which if you are a member you get unlimited of! There are around 6 ponies and they let them ride for a few minutes each time. My daughter has been doing it since she was 1 1/2.There is also a wagon ride around the farm which is fun for the kids and you can also feed the smaller animals by buying a bag of seeds for $1 or quarter machines around the farm. Overall awesome place for when we have good weather.
Fun place for kids it has horse riding and a tractor ride. Lots of animals for kids to enjoy. Great way to spend a weekend
Its a fun place for younger kids or older ones that love farm animals.
My kids and I love coming here and feeding the animals. We always have so much fun!
My almost 3-year-old LOVES Farm country. There is a large variety of animals to see including cows, goats, horses chickens, turkeys, pigs, bunnies, ducks, etc. You can buy little packets of food to feed the animals. The pony ride line can take a while but its not too bad if you avoid busy days (weekends and holidays). There is a little indoor play spot if you need to get inside for a few minutes. We usually bring a snack and eat it in the grass as part of our visit. There is also a tractor ride that my son loves.
We always have a blast here. The kid gets to ride a pony and I get to tell all the baby goats how much I love them.
We loved the animals, its just too hot right now, especially with the lack of shaded areas.
Nice farm. Kids loved the animals but the line was extra long for the pony ride and the pony kept trying to buck off my daughter pretty violently at least three or four times and they just kept the ride going when they should have let her off.
There doesnt seem to be much to do at first glance, we spent an hour just visiting the perting zoo animals alone. Trust me your kids will be occupied. We bought one $1 baggie if food and stretched it over 5 kids it lasted quite a while. The pony rides are worth the wait and it was nice to see them rotate the ponies out (we watched them do this) as one of our kids was worried that they never get a break. The kids garden was cute and they ran around the little buildings while we waited for a wagon ride. The draft horses were my favorite shout out to Captain and King. Then there is a little toy farm where the kids can learn about farm work with stuffed animals and toy tools/trucks. Sunscreen, sunhat or umbrella, and water.
The bighorn sheep are silly... but lots of bugs
This is a great little place for little ones to get close to farm animals. My son loves the tractor ride and the pony ride. We always love seeing all the animals. Always an enjoyable outing.
We spent an hour and forty-five minutes here, an hour and a half of which were spent in line for a three-minute pony ride. I also have to point out that during that hour and a half we waited for a ride, those poor ponies never got food, water, or rest. I actually felt guilty for letting my tiny little three year-old ride a pony.I was also appalled at the conditions of the other animals. I am not an anti-zoo person, but this was crushing to the soul. The animals looked miserable and the conditions were dirty and disgusting.I admit I dont know much about taking care of animals, and so I sincerely hope and pray that those animals are in better condition than they look.
The kiddos absolutely love this place!! Staff is very friendly.
Great place to take kids with lots to see/do
We love going to farm country! They keep it clean and the animals are well taken care of. The employees are friendly and we just love walking around and seeing the animals. You can buy animal feed for just $1/ bag.
The grandkids got to ride there first horse, and feed the goats they just love it!! The staff was caring an just Awesome people!!
Pony rides that are safe and friendly and animal feeding is a healthy activity, especially for small children and special needs children.
It was alot of fun to visit here. The biggest issues were the staff was kind of distant, professional but not what I’d call friendly, and in certain areas the smell could completely knock you out. I lived on a farm growing up so I understand there’s little you can do about the smell besides more often cleaning the pens but the staff is often working with smaller children there so a bit more of a friendly demeanor is appreciated.
Lots of cute animals to feed and pet!I think the tractor ride was boring, I wouldn’t ride it again. It doesn’t take you anywhere interesting and you don’t see any animals while onboard.Milking the cow was a great experience!
We love farm country! The staff are always so nice and we love seeing the baby animals at this time of year!
Super fun for little kids.
The kids loved feeding the animals. Buy a couple bags of feed up front.
A lot of fun for the kids, being around farm animals, and getting a pony ride! The wagon ride was also fun.
Adventure beyond anything else. I loved hearing a turkey gobble!
Your employee Bekah needs to be taught a lesson in common courtesy and treating customers with respect. She literally stalked around outside looking for any and everything to bark at customers at. “You can’t go here” “don’t step there!” “Don’t touch that animal” we will not be returning and definitely won’t recommend this place to friends and family, SOLELY because of Bekah.
Great for childrens birthdays
It’s fun to feed and pet the animals.
My niece and nephew loved this place. They got to milk a cow, go on a tractor ride, ride a pony, and see lots of animals, and for not much money either. The winter time in the middle of the day is probably the best time to come, easiest to social distance. Nobody to bump into.
A fun place to take kids. They have a variety of animals including goats, llamas, cows, bunnys, chickens, horses, and more. You can buy a bag of animal feed which you can feed to most of the animals. I recommend buying some because it is fun to let the animals eat it right out of your hand. There is a pony ride where the horses just walk around in a circle but kids still love it. They also have a wagon ride that is pulled by a tractor or sometimes horses. I have young kids and they enjoy going to Farm County so we go frequently.
First time bring my kids! More crowded then i wanted it to be parents were more interested in waiting in line for the pony ride then they were watching there kids staff were amazing and my kids loved the animals we will be back but not on a saturday
Farm Country is wonderful!!! So clean, organized, and well varied. There were several different farm animals with signs teaching about their uses to people. Animal feed is available for purchase in coin machines. There was even a pony ride and a hay ride included with the admission.
So fun to bring my grandson. A lot of animals to feed and interact with. Horse and wagon rides. Definately worth the visit. 😁
Love the pony rides, tractor pulled wagon rides, seeing the animals and milking the dairy cow when we go in the afternoons!
