Beautiful gardens with spectacular grooming. Year-round events with themes for every major holiday! My favorite garden was the Light of the World garden. It has beautiful handmade bronze statues of the Savior Jesus Christ, and its architecture and plants are designed to look like Jerusalem and Galilee where the Savior walked. It was so peaceful and the spirit of Christ there was amazing

Beautiful place!! We spent about an hour there. The waterfall is currently closed, so I don’t recommend going if you’d like to see the waterfall going. I have pictures of that. It’s a beautiful walk and a quiet place to meditate. It wasn’t busy at all when we went, which made it nicer.

We came here on a Thursday night around six. It didnt seem too busy. You have to wear masks outside. The kids favorite areas were the little lake where you can feed the fish, the waterfall, and the area with all the arches and vines. Lots of great places to take pictures. One of the things we didnt care for was you have to watch out for people in the golf carts as they pass on the walkways. Fun place to spend an afternoon or evening.

I usually love this place, I come multiple times a year, for the gardens and the restaurants. So this was our first wedding reception here. Not impressed. They wouldnt let us take a wheelchair for my parents( and I had called to inquire 2 x before- which they said were available. ) Apparently you have to have them back at 8pm- even when the only event for that night is a huge wedding event? so, you want me,,, the mother of the wedding party to bring my dad back up the hill in the middle of the reception, just so you have your wheelchair back by 8pm.? The fireworks were great-but as a family we came an hour early for pictures. There was no where to sit. Old people cannot stand for an hour during pictures. And I wish there were signs and lights to help along the path to the restrooms. It was dark and unknown. And the staff was a little rude. When you spend that much money on a wedding- every one better be really accomidating.

My big question for this place was if it is worth it to go in early spring when the flowers are not in full bloom and the greenery isnt fully alive yet. The answer is yes. Its a cool place to visit any time of year. Lots of walking, and seems fairly wheelchair friendly. My friend stated they didnt have any issues with their power wheelchair when they went. There are golf carts and power scooters available to rent for those who cant walk long distances. Be ready for a long walk no matter how much of the garden you choose to see. Everyones favorite part was the path through the waterfall. Only 4 stars because Im a cheapskate and I think prices are a little high, but thats how Thanksgiving point is.

A beautiful series of gardens. You could walk through everything in a couple of hours or really take your time and easily stay all day. There are plenty of wheelchair/golf cart/walker-accessible paths and frequent seating if you need breaks. Its worth getting some fish food and feeding the koi out at the Monet Garden. The waterfall is currently off due to the drought, but its a fabulous place even without that feature. There are a couple of restrooms and spots to refill water bottles. You can rent a golf cart if needed to assist in traveling around the gardens. If you dont, good walking shoes are recommended (youll walk a few miles if you see everything).

World class garden! When I travel around the world, I tend to take excursions to Gardens and the one right here in my backyard is literally one of the best I have been to.Meticulously maintained, the layout is AMAZING, the various vistas are breathtaking! So hard to believe that this is so close to civilization, to the freeway and Frontrunner(Train tracks). The gardens are so serene and peaceful, it transports you to a place far from the hustle and bustle of daily life.So relaxing!Give yourself a FULL day to meander through the garden.Stop and do smell the roses!Bring water! Wear a hat, the sun can get intense! Wear sunscreen!Wear your walking shoes, to say you will get your exercise for the day is an understatement! If you are handicapped, most of the Garden is accessible with just a few exceptions.I HIGHLY recommend coming to the Garden in all 4 seasons, but if you could only come in one, be sure to come during the Tulip Festival. The next amazing time would be in the Autumn when many of the trees start to turn (about the first part of October). Summer is always a nice, refreshing break in this desert, and the gardens are far from being a desert!Even winter has its magical moments in the Garden.Anytime of the year is a Photographers dream location!A true Garden of Eden!

This place is so beautiful, and full of positivity. The energy that surrounds this area is powerful. It was very enjoyable to walk around, and they had a lot of different things that you can see. Personally my favorite was walking through the light of the world section. Without giving too much away they have some extremely cool statues of Christ and his life. I also really enjoyed the waterfall, the streams, and the ponds that are present here. They have secret gardens, fountains, and fun cultural things to walk under. The gardens are well manicured and a great spot to go and relax and enjoy a walk with those that you care about.

Went to the “Tulip Festival” today. That was about half of all the blooming tulips. It’s really a grass and waterfall festival. About 1% of the garden is given to tulips and about 5% of those were blooming. Wait til next year and go to Keukenhof. Pretty lawns and waterfalls, but definitely not a tulip festival. A definite negative is the fleet of stinky, gas-powered golf carts polluting the entire area.

I have loved my experiences at Thanksgiving point. I am putting 1 star for only 2 reasons.1) Customer service. Over the past few weeks I have tried calling 3-4 times to get questions answered or get tickets transferred. I have never had to wait LESS than 30 minutes MINIMUM in order to talk to a human. (I am sitting here waiting right now to and have been waiting 37 minutes). If there are seasons where they are experiencing high call volume this consistently they need to FIX the system and hire more people to answer phones. This is insane.2) My family is spending a couple hundred to go experience the tulip festival together. Last week we bought tickets only to discover the Tulips weren’t even in bloom yet. It seems really wrong to sell tickets to a tulip festival when they aren’t out. Tell your customers what they are getting.

Beautiful gardens that you wouldn’t expect to find in Utah. Definitely overpriced though. Go on a day when there’s a discount.More pro tips:1) Be prepared to either walk a lot or spend $$$ to get a golf cart.2) Definitely go on a cold day. There’s quite a bit of shade, but there are still large exposed sections—namely the entire Christ statues section—and much of the walking is up and down hills, which can get tiring pretty quick.

This is always an enjoyable trip. Grounds are well landscaped. Plenty of elevation gain to get in a good walk and if you wanted to be brisk, you could really get your heart going. For those who possess a disability or if you just want to ride, there are golf carts available. In years past, they had Segway scooters to rent. Im not sure of that is still an option. Tulip festival is a beautiful time to go, but other times of the year are also very beautiful. Appointments are needed at this time to attend the Tulip Festival. One thing that I would warn you about is the nasty recirculated pond water they run through their waterfall feature. Every year it gets more and more foul and I putrid smelling. This year it just about kept us from walking the upper waterfall path. Just avoid the water feature all together and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding gardens. Dont miss the Life of Christ bronze exhibit. It is very well done.

Beautiful landscapes! The downside is the people driving the golf carts are pretty impatient, forcing pedestrians to move to the edge of the path or completely off the path. The third incident I saw of this today was an elderly lady falling out of her sitting walker onto the back in her head. For how crowded the garden can get, filled with little kids running around, people in wheelchairs and walkers, the golf carts serve a great purpose but are an issue. Especially when these drivers were taking pictures and or eating while driving and pushing people out of the way. Luckily, there are paths that golf carts are not allowed, but that doesnt help the main path including the entrance and the exit.

Review №85

This place is an absolute scam if youre looking to explore more than a small fraction of it in the evening. The location of the gardens is comically far away from the rest of the campus so you have to drive and repark. The people happy to take your (absurd) amount of money to get in for a stroll will give you a map at 7pm and completely neglect to tell you that you have virtually no chance at all of viewing any of the gardens due to how absolutely massive they are. Once you figure out there is no way it suddenly makes sense why everyone is on golf carts. Youll then walk back up to the visitor center only to find out they dont rent golf carts after 6:30PM which makes no sense at all because its the only way anyone would be able to see any significant part of the garden for your moneys worth. Thanksgiving point is already too expensive but I feel like I paid for nothing. To top all of this off this was our first visit to salt lake city area and the traffic is atrocious. Ive been to Chicago, Dallas, San Diego, all over and many large cities and salt lake city metro area is a traffic contender for the likes of Los Angeles. This compounded by the fact that its unreasonably hot in June had altogether made us never want to come to this area again, despite the beautiful rocky mountain views. I especially do not recommend the gardens at Thanksgiving point and wish I had gotten my money back.
