Morningstar on Old Cherokee Rd. has been a God sent for my family and I. Were new to the area and the closing of our mortgage loan didnt sync with the move out date of our previous home. Chris, the manager at Morningstar, saved us. We had to very quickly find somewhere to store our entire house for at least a week until we could close and do home repairs in the new home. As it turns out because the moving company didnt come back to continue the move for us, we little by little had to move from Morningstar Storage to our new home through car trips. Chris was so accommodating to our circumstances. First, he listened very well to our circumstances to determine what we needed. He helped us at closing time when most people would be rushing to go home. Second, he provided us with a big enough unit for the entire house (four bedrooms) without the need for renting several units. Third, he didnt hold us to one month that we initially asked for. Fourth, we were allowed to use Morningstars moving truck for 4hrs up to fifty miles for free to move the largest items after being in storage at Morningstar for three months. Because we had no plans to stay there past a month I didnt make arrangements to pay the rent automatically. While Im embarrassed to mention this its worth noting that Chris even sent reminders verbally and through email that my rent was due. He is very professional and yet personable at the same time. He could really relate to our familys circumstances. It felt so good to have our home stored in a facility that was secured with cameras and an automated gate that could be accessed 24hrs a day. I strongly recommend that Morningstar Storage be the facility to use given Chriss service, its location near all of the department stores on Sunset Blvd., and the security with 24hr access. They have made our relocation very easy and we are glad that we chose them. If you are looking for a storage facility? Then look no further and use them. Chris helped my husband by directing him in the spot.After we got everything settled with the motorhome we went up to the office to set up our account.He made it so very easy for us, and we were happy to see that he had a required mask sign on the door! The attendant was very polite and new his job but I was lied to by telling me that I couldn’t use my own lock I had to pay $22.00 for a lock they sold. But when going to the storage unit I noticed a majority of the other units had privet locks on them.??????

Chris and staff were easy to work with and were able to accommodate my needs for camper storage. This is a very nice and clean storage facility. All parking storage is paved or concrete. I had no problems parking in my spot the first try. While there I was asked if I needed any help by one of the staff members patrolling the lot. Chris was very professional while taking care of me. Very nice, good prices, no hassles, clean. My only issues are minor but it would greatly improve my score for Devon Self Storage. That being there is no place to put trash, no restrooms after the office closes, and they could keep the climate controlled units a little cooler. Those features would have me giving them 5 stars. But its still a great place and i am very pleased.

I reserved a storage spot at another local storage unit. When I arrived, with a fully packed moving truck & three other cars, they did not have what we reserved. This particular storage company was offering a month free as well. I scrambled to find a close location & came upon Devon Storage. Katheryn at Devon was tremendously helpful & empathetic towards our situation. She was able to provide me with a $1 charge for one month and then found another discount she could provide for us as well. This ended up getting us right at the same price as the other storage company. This was true service with the customer in mind. She thought outside of the box & put herself in our situation and did everything she could to meet us where we were. It is because of service like this that I would recommend Devon.

Lately I have found in certain businesses that good customer service is not at an all time high these days. Well my experience at Morningstar Storage change that perception. The manager Chris made my experience moving into a new unit wonderful. He was curtious and willing to help at every turn even when I was late he was still helpful and one of the most respectful I ve meet.

We needed to rent 2 outside spaces for a vehicle and enclosed trailer from out of state, Chris was more than happy to help us get everything set up! We received our passcode and everything very quickly, and we even got our 1st month free! Awesome service!

When I called to pay my bill and close it out, Reuben had already voided out my balance and didnt charge me anything at all, even though he was under no obligation to do so! I was a customer for over 11 years and during that time I frequented my unit several times per week. The owner and staff where always available to help me with my business needs and if I had a specific maintenance request it was always taken care of immediately. On the positive side: the facility is clean.On the other side: the door to my unit would not stay up, so was difficult to access without getting bonked on the head by the door rolling down.Took over an hour to rent the unit. Very inefficient systems. Easier to go through airport security!When I closed my unit on the 12th of the month, I was informed that I would not get a refund for the rest of the month. While this may have been in the fine print in the contract, it was not mentioned when I rented the unit. This seems deceptive.The keypads for getting in and out are very unstable and difficult to use.The security gates have been broken for at least 3 weeks.I will not recommend this facility.

You wont find a more helpful staff. Heather and Ruben were just the nicest people. Very courteous. Heather even to time and helped familiarize my wife with the local area and places to shop. Good Job Guys !!

Great service

My fiancee and I stored at Devon Self Storage for about 6 months. One of the managers there, Shonski, made things very easy for us. He was very informative and professional with our move in process and anytime we had to go by the office on the weekend he was very helpful and upbeat. He even stepped out of the office when we were moving stuff in and helped us move a few of our heavy belonging. How many managers these days do that? The day we moved in he was slammed busy with customers but when he got free he even came and gave us a hand. As a matter of fact, just about every weekend when we went by our unit, he was working alone and was slammed busy with customers, but he was always smiling. He deserves a big bonus and a raise for his level of professionalism and for being so helpful!! Because of him I have referred Devon Self Storage to a few of my friends.

We physically went to the location a month ahead of time to reserve a unit. Paid our deposit. I called two days before we were to arrive from out of town and told the Mgr we were going to be there on the 30th...with a semi full of furniture. He said ok all set. When we got there at 8:15 am we found out their office didnt open up u til 9:30 am. Our semi was blocking the highway and I had no gate code. I called their number and was told by a representative he would call the mgr and call me back. Never happened. When the other mgr got there at 9:30 and we got to our unit it had a lock on it. She checked and said he had never had us fill out any paperwork.She was very helpful and courteous but it took quite a while to fill out the paperwork. My movers werent able to start unloading until 11:00 am.Heather did a great job trying to help us out, if it wasnt for her I dont know where wed be.

Beware! We put a deposit down because we thought we might need a unit. When our situation changed and we determined that we no longer needed the unit, we went in to ask for our deposit, their response was We keep that., using the justification that the had held a unit for us.This was a lie ... my wife called afterward and they stated that they had plenty of the units available of the size we had requested. also, I showed the manager my receipt for the deposit and asked him to show me where it stated that the deposit was not refundable ... because there was no such statement on the receipt ... and his response, as ludicrous as it might sound, was that it states so in their system ... and pointed to his computer monitor!I am a professional in a highly technical field, nuclear power, have lived in many parts of the country and do my best to treat people with respect and consideration, but these, people, at least the manager, is a liar and a thief ... which I told him to his face.

I have been a regular at this storage facility for years with supplies for my job. When I needed a place for my furniture during a move, of course I got my unit here. Shon at the office was kind, considerate, and helpful in making my move a little bit easier. The day following my unit rental, I was bringing some boxes and got a stressful call regarding my sale and was visibly frustrated when I arrived. Shon came out of the office and asked if he could help me with anything. That little bit of consideration from him changed my day back. I asked him why he came out to help me move my few boxes in and he very politely said, I saw the look on your face from inside and thought you could use some help. He was right. And its the little touches that make a business superior to the rest. Relationships are everything. Keep up the great work.
