The guys in the Service Dept....Rick, Kenny & Vinny are friendly, professional and overall pleasant to work with. I waited while I got my free oil change as well as tire rotation and new wiper blades. I was not bored while I waited because I ran into the salesman, Mike and the store mgr Anthony who sold me my Forte a couple years back. They were great back then and worked hard to get me the best financing. I also met their new(at least to me) Sales mgr., Matt. It was great interaction with all of them. Please anyone interested in purchasing a Kia, do seek them out. Fantastic Customer service all the way around.
Brought my car in recently for service. Vinny got me checked in and kept in contact with me all day to let me know what was going on with my car. He explained things to me in ways I could understand since I don’t know much about cars. I really appreciated that. The technician did a great job too, my car is running smoothly again.
They always try yourself you. They don’t look into a problem, it’s always cost you money to find out what is going on with your vehicle. When work is done you yourself will have to inspect it to make sure the work was done and done properly. I’ve tried to work with them several times on different vehicles but it’s about time to say enough is enough.

I called due to a safety recall notification on my car and honestly, I was so angry with how the service department staff spoke to me. I explained that I was concerned about my safety reading this notification and was absolutely dismissed by them. I would never take my car there. I found somewhere else to take my car and it was literally like night and day.
If I could give less than one star, I would. WE WERE SCAMMED AND MISLED!My experience at the dealership last month was very pleasant and I didnt discover the issues until just now. We were overcharged over $3k for the price of the car. We agreed on the STICKER PRICE for the car and then went into negotiations regarding the loan. The whole time, they focused on the monthly payment and continually went up from what I first told them I was comfortable with. The actual price of the car did not come up at all during that time and I did not question it because we had agreed on the stick price outside. We just received the repayment information from the loan company and it shows that we were charged more for the actual car than we agreed upon. This is not including the extended warranty or gap insurance. I am just talking about the base price. At this point, I know there is nothing we can do about it but I want to caution others so they dont have the same issue.I have reached out to the dealership with my complaints and have not received a response.
When I bought my Kia last February, the sales people were super nice, and patient, as I test drove several vehicles. They also negotiated a very good price. I always felt like I was dealing with a real human who wanted to help, rather than someone that just wanted to sell. I bought the 2021 Kia Sorrento hybrid and love it! Yesterday I took it for its first scheduled maintenance. Everyone was friendly, service was fast, and there were NO charges.
Kenny, in the service dept, is very good. He has a great understanding of what good customer service is. I had a bit of a mishap and Kenny made sure everything was resolved to my satisfaction. He went above and beyond. Also, Javier, their porter, did a great job cleaning up my car. Both of these gentlemen should be commended They are an asset to Kia. However I didn’t have a pleasant experience with Anthony, he said he’s a Mgr up in sales, he was not very nice.

This market is crazy so do your research and know what you want when you get on the lot otherwise your car may be gone tomorrow.Do not let that deter you however. The best part of this experience was by far the people and service at Libertyville Kia. Matt and Michael are who Id tell you to see hands down all the time. Yes it took time to get things finalized with financing but I expected it would and you should also. Their attentiveness to me and my needs and what I was looking for in this car for my wife, A+.

If I could put a 0 on the stars I would, terrible service department. They ordered the wrong tires for the car didnt check if they were ones ordered and continued to service the car, no notification nothing, then promptly said its not their fault and swore at me. Will never go back and reporting this business to BBB for fraudulence.
Stopped in on Saturday to check out cars they had listed as New in their inventory. Specifically their Blue 2021 Fortes that are listed at $14,435 as their internet price. Had set up an appointment to see the car and spoke to two separate people confirming that the cars are available and for sale.As we walked towards the dealership we saw two to three of the Blue 2021 Fortes that were available. When we walked into the dealership we were informed by David that the specific cars were sold and they had other cars available in their lot. I asked to speak to the salesmen who spoke to me over the phone and arranged the appointment. This salesman proceeded to also inform me that the cars I was looking at online were their loaner cars and they were NOT for sale (Two different people, two different stories). So the vehicles do have stock numbers and are for sale on their website but when you set up an appointment to view the cars they are not for sale.Essentially this was a bait and switch tactic to draw customers into their establishment and get you to look at their other inventory that is highly inflated. Great waste of time.

Just like all the other car dealerships in this country, all the reviews are fluffed. They hire third-party companies to fluff the ratings and make it look like they’re the best dealer in town. This place is the polar opposite of great service. Do not waste your time here, do not even attempt on making a deal and they will give you this “supply and demand“ talk and actually raise the price of the vehicle rather than negotiate a fair deal. Absolutely pathetic. Check the Internet to find the real reviews on this place.
Vinny explained what was wrong with my car and what needed to be done. He didnt talk down to me. I felt that he wanted to help me instead of conning me by telling me to fix things that didnt need to be fixed.
The team at Kia is above exceptional. From the moment I walk in they know me by my first name they remember my last visit they make sure I am attended to and they just make the whole entire visit feel like I was special.
I am very disappointed. We just has $2800 worth of work done with our car and we received it back with an empty tank of gas and it smells. This is the dealership we bought the car from so I would have expected better customer service.

One star is honestly very generous of me. I called and received multiple confirmations that a specific car was available in the lot. Once I got there, the salesperson had no clue what I was talking about. It was a waste of my time, going all the way there because of a confirmation, then them not having it. THEN, I called again when I came back, and the SAME salesperson I met in person was on the phone, and confirmed they had it again. When I confronted him, he transferred me to an empty line. They were obviously just trying to get me to go to the dealer and explore. Terrible customer service. Nobody willing to give honest answers and help. And it was a very simple request, is the car there or not? So disappointed, do not expect good service. Do not expect the online availability to be the same as in person. And do not expect honestly and helpfulness.

Came in for my oil change, let him know to address my concerns of what was going on with my car, he let the tech know and they immediately figured out what needed to be changed, reach out first to let me know what the cost and labor would be before doing it. I arrived early for my appointment . I was nicely greeted by Vinny who works in the service area. He took my information because its the first time Ive actually serviced my vehicle there. I was there for a recall. I waited in the customer lounge and before I knew my car was cleaned and ready to go. Im bringing my car to this dealership for service from now on.

Their management has changed from 2018 when I leased a new Sportage. At that time everything went smoothly. Just the opposite this past July when I leased another Sportage Turbo SX. Nothing but problems. Made a number of calls to the business manager and numerous calls to the general manager Steve. Promised to get back to me but never did. Called at least 10 times and still no response. They had my trade in on 7/28 but as of 8/20 Kia finance said that according to their records I still had my old car and a lease payment was due not only on that car but also my new car!!!MY RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE TO GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP ESPECIALLY HOW I WAS TREATED!

For 15+ years, my wife and I have been loyal to Kia. Weve even encouraged others to buy the brand. However, after our heartbreaking experience, I no longer feel the same way.Kia doesnt notify car owners of any applicable recalls. By happenstance, my wife and I found out from a third party that our Sorento had multiple recalls. We hastily made an appointment for our regularly maintained, issue free, car and dropped it off. A day later, we were told our Sorento failed a recall test and therefore should expect the car to succumb to an imminent engine failure . We were also told that since the car is 1000ish miles over the warrenty, we need to pay $6,000+/- out of pocket to repair it. In short, it was supposed to be recalled while under warrenty (1000ish miles sooner). Of course, we would have loved to know that sooner - buyers beware! - you are on your own if youre not actively monitoring recalls. Even if youre not driving the car (i.e wfh, pandemic), I highly recommend you keep an eye on these things.Whats heartbreaking is that we had to learn about this business practice the hard way. Not having $6,000 without dipping into the college funds, we called Kia corporate, even threw out the loyalty card as a last ditch effort to have some sort of compromise; any form of sure, well work with you here, or considering your long-time patronage, well knock off $100. I dream too big. All in all, we had to drive home something that didnt resemble what we dropped off. With a new engine light flashing, and an audible knocking sound coming from the engine... loss for words.All in all, I expected something different from Liberty Kia. I do my best to be empathic in situations like this, but every way I look at it, this experience hit below the belt. Using a loophole to save money at the cost of a customer is as dirty as it gets. I hope this post helps a potential customer get acquainted to Kias business practices. Beware.
My Service call at Liberty Kia went very well yesterday. The service advisor who worked with me the entire process was named Vinny. He was professional, detailed in his explanation of the work planned and courteous to my questions. He made sure the car was inspected properly and the necessary work was done in a timely fashion. He had the car washed before I left. He actually was one of the best service advisors I have encountered in all my trips to different dealerships over the years.

So far, so good! Huge selection to fit every budget and responses were so fast I almost thought they were automated. I worked with Taylor, who was an absolute Gem! She is knowledgeable, level-headed and personable. Kevin in financing was, as well, a pleasure to work with. The entire team seemed close knitted and had a family atmosphere which considering the dealership spans city blocks is a true feet. (I wont even compile that with the pandemic.) I would highly recommend them and will consider them first next time I am in the market for a vehicle. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Worst car dealership experience ever. Once you buy the car and drive off the lot, they stop caring about you. That might be fine if they sold quality cars but they dont. Ive had countless issues with my new Kia and nobody there is willing to help.

The only problem I have is that Ive been waiting on my car to get some work done to it that was agreed on when I purchased my car and it still hasnt been taken care of. I purchased my car March 25th 2021 and Im still waiting on an appointment to bring my car in and pick up a loaner.
My sons car went in 15 times from September to March to get the check engine light to stop coming on. Thousands of dollars and 7+ full weeks in the shop during that time. Check engine light still on. The service manager hades told me that “Kia has no obligation to fix the car.” Because there is no warranty. I spent 1,000s fixing the all the parts system they said had the problem. Warranty or know they were paid to fix it. They loss of use of the car for almost 2 full months while they tried to diagnose the issue. The concept of simple professional pride. They should have fixed it. Kia consumer affairs was equally useless.

BAIT AND SWITCHWhile taking my 2019 Optima in for general maintenance on 07/30/21 at liberty kia 921 S Milwaukee Ave in LibertyvilleI decided to upgrade to a 2022 Telluride advertised at $51,256.When it came time for doing paperwork for the purchase the price was switched to $65,000?? Reason given, it was the number one selling vehicle and it demands a premium price, and partly due to trade in values being high in the current market. Really!! What does my trade in have to do with an advertised price? The sales manager insisted it is what it is and if I didnt like it move on.Im glad to say I do not own a Telluride today, and will not own another Kia if this is the bait and switch mentality of Kia dealerships
They are very rude and made us wait almost two hours while it seemed like they were doing other things unrelated to car business and not updating us. They had no room for us the only person to seem to have any common sense was who I believed to be the general manager and the finance manager those are the only two people I would even think about doing business with there avoid all the salesmen at all costs.
I visited this dealership today and test drove a Telluride. The car was good. When it came to pricing, Mike (the dealer who worked with me) asked $60K for a MSRP $45K model. Correct. $15K premium. I know the demand is high, but this is insane.
The salesmen was a little pushy for my liking, but overall easy to talk to and agreed to a fair price on the vehicle (I wouldnt have an issue buying a car from him in the future). The finance department is less than ethical and will blatantly lie to you... I would never even consider walking into that dealership again without my own financing set up first.

Sorry I came in to liberty Kia because the first thing they tell me is that it will cost me hundreds of dollars just for routine maintenance on my vehicle, which is barely 3 years young. Then, I’m told that I will need tire realignment and that added more to the total.I find it pretty sneaky of them to tack on so much money just for a 15000 mile inspection and maintenance . I came out of there $400 poorer, and that’s including the $2000 maintenance plan I paid on top of car price so that I can keep from going broke.Kia charges way too much . I paid over $200 just 6 months ago to have air conditioning filter flushed when that is not a wear and tear thing!Sorry Kia, you’re way overpriced for your services.
Dropped my car off on a Monday night after hours. I had to call late Tuesday morning to confirm it was received. I was told that they would look at it no later than Wednesday, no problem. I was never called. I finally decided to call Friday late afternoon when I didnt here anything.I brought the car in under manufactures warranty for a cold start engine noise. On Friday afternoon they told me that they havent even addressed that yet and they were doing other warranty work that I didnt even know about. Monday morning i got a call that the car was finished but denied the cold start engine noise, i wasnt happy. Kia has a factory service bulletin for this issue and the car is under warranty.I made arrangements to pic the car up Tuesday night after service is closed. The keys and paperwork would be left with sales manager.. I got to the dealership and the sales manager knew nothing about this and we ended up spending 30-40 minutes locating the keys and paperwork. When I got to my car it was out back under a tree unlocked. The areas of the car that they serviced are covered in dirty fingerprints(car was spotless when I dropped it off). my center console items were left on the seat and not put back. They also left a razorblade on the floor that I almost stepped on(witnessed by sales manager) I had the sales manager walk out with me to hear the car start since i knew it was sitting overnight. I started the car and it clattered nice and loud. i told him that the service department claims this is ok, he said definitely not right. I asked if I traded the car in right now after he heard it would i get the same amount as a quiet engine ? he replied NO, he would take a good chunk of money off because of the noise.I feel like they did the easy warranty work and pushed me out the door.At the end of the day I have a car under warranty with a kia issued TSB that they wont honor.. Very unhappy wont be back..
After visiting a dealership in Napleton which wasnt a pleasant visit, we went to a dealership called Liberty Kia which was a clean place and had a very nice atmosphere to purchase a car. The people working there were very friendly. The saleswomen and the manager are very easy to work with and can give you a good deal. They treat customer with respect and you feel like one of them and because of that we purchased a 2021 kia soul X-line in the color blue.
Have been having trouble with all the places I’ve tried to bring my car, they are either rude or CLEARLY trying to rip me off because it’s obvious I don’t know a ton about cars and Liberty Kia did not make me feel that way! Did have a little bit of lack of communication but it sounded like my advisor had an emergency and that was why, so not a big deal! They were attentive and honest about charges up front, and made me feel secure in what they were doing to fix my car! Will 100% be back for the other work I need done!! Thanks!!
I had an appointment so the service was very quick, I only went in for an oil change, and they did the oil change, a multi point inspection, and even a car wash. I was in and out in less than an hour.

Bought Kia Telluride from factory order because none were available, took 8 weeks to get there which was quicker than expected. When doing all the financial paperwork, I realized a line for $400 for VIN etching on windows. I asked them before delivery not to do VIN etching and they said they wouldnt, but they did it anyways and charged me for it. One of the windows was done so poorly you cant even read the letters. I was pretty irritated by the bait and switch and the poor quality of the etching, but they would only lower it to $350 and didnt apologize for the quality or lying about it. Really put a sour taste in my mouth to what should have been an exciting day to get a new car. Car is great, Abe in sales was great, was treated terribly by management. Also, the extended warranty is not through Kia like they make it seems, it is through Nissan.
Didn’t get the deal I wanted but felt it was still acceptable so bought the Sportage.Sales people were nice and didn’t pressure me to anything I didn’t want.

2.5 only because I drove all the way from the city to get work done on my vehicle, was assured I was going to be in and out which was true, now the only thing I really didn’t like it that they found a major problem with my vehicle and only gave me 2 options because they did not have a loner vehicle. I was told to go next door and get a rental and hopefully get reimbursed, or leave with out a car while under warranty. So if your traveling please make sure you have all the numbers and information correct before getting up there.
Years ago I bought a Kia Sportage from Kia in Libertyville. My first experience was so bad with the sales guy, not to mention that he yelled at me with a foul language for trying to negotiate with him. This past weekend i felt the same form of discrimination towards Latinos and Im fed up. Waukegan was much more helpful and know how to treat a person no matter what color they are.

I left my car a day before my schedule and was called next day to get permission for more work. I picked up my car sparkling clean ( it was winter filthy before) I forgot to show a 20.00 off coupon before I was billed and the agent said he will enter the discount that I can use with my next service. I am pleased..!

Booked a service appointment to have an oil change and warrantee recall service performed on the touch screen. Set the appointment with the service manager for four oclock. Got there a bit early to check in and the service manager stated they could not do both as each service takes an hour and they close the service department at 5:00. I needed to choose which service I wanted done and make another appointment for the other service.When I made the appointment they knew what service I wanted performed. They need to get their act together. I call that poor customer service
