Brandon was my service contact for the visit; he was great! He made sure to use my service package for the oil change and break fluid and was very pleasant and straightforward with everything. Also, I had a panicked moment later that day thinking I’d left my engagement ring in the waiting area. I called in, and Brandon remembered me right away. He watched the security tape and called back to say I was wearing it when I left, which allowed me to rule out VW and find the ring quicker. Amazing! Thank you, Brandon!!

I went in for a recall and oil change. I got my car 3 days later. They never called me to let me know my car was ready. If I hadnt called them to inquire about my vehicle being ready for pick up, my car would still be there. I had issues before there with the vehicle service, but I bought my car there with a 5 year warranty so I am stuck going there. I will never buy another car from that dealership. Terrible customer service .

I had an excellent service experience at Liberty VW in Libertyville for my TDI Sportwagen. I brought my vehicle in for the 10,000 mile oil change. The service representative, Brandon explained what services were necessary and which were not. He even pointed out that my fuel filter should be replaced since there was no record of it ever being replaced. Quick, excellent and honest service and advice.
John the service advisor had really good customer service and helped me with my volkswagen fast. I highly suggest this place & i will be coming back if i have any more issues with my car.
So around Mid-June, I entered the service area to have my car (2013 GTI)key replaced since it fell out of the control. I ordered the part and got it fixed in a week or less. After that appointment, my car hasn’t been the same. My brake lights don’t turn off, my hazard lights would turn on at random times at night, and my turn signals don’t work. My abs, steering wheel, and check tire lights on my dashboard are currently on. I’ve had this car for almost 5 years and I have never had this many issues on my car. When I returned to the service area to see what was happening, they said I have a faulty abs manual and they were going to charge me 4K to fix a problem that I’m sure they caused. Every time I call, I get sent to voicemail and never get a call back. It is safe to say I’m never coming back to this place ever again.
In and out in exactly two hours for a 40,000 mile inspection, oil change, tire rotation and air filter change. Good customer service as well.
Great service and top notch techs that know the detail about the current electronics that seem to be getting out of calibration like Lane Assist and other functions. Most of my issues were resolved on this visit but tech ran out of time in the 5 hours I was at the dealership. Next visit hopefully will take care of the one issue left.
I had a better experience then I would have thought. Owed more on my old car then it was worth, but they helped work out a deal I could live with. I now have a 2018 Jetta, with an extended warranty.

I was called by Ronny to perhaps get into another vehicle so, I could cut ties with my ex. I showed up on 5/31/21 to see where things stood along with the information needed by a cosigner who didnt have to be there. Long story short, although I was respectful and professional, the Finance manager made the decision not to work with me. All for just showing up. I was embarrassed in front of staff and made to feel like garbage. I will never ever forget this experience and advise others to go elsewhere.

The worst customer service!Only one employee, who was with customer. Didn’t acknowledge us, or said “Hello, I’m busy”. We went to showroom and waited for about 30 minutes. Finance person saw us, did not greet us or said anything. Just ignored us!! Do not come here! On our way to Muller in Highland Park.

TL;DR; They left a PCV hose disconnected on my car, which I happened to notice it a few days later. Hostile service manager. Dealership manager doesnt seem to care. I almost never leave negative online reviews, but I feel like they went above and beyond to deserve this one.----I brought my car in for a recall last week. Big mistake.When a customer walks into a business, you usually get some sort of acknowledgment from the staff even if they cant help you right away. Apparently that isnt the case at Liberty VW. Brady and the other service representatives couldnt be bothered to even look up from their computers. Brady was hostile from the moment I stepped into the service department, and it all went downhill from there.To make a long story short, Bradys responses to my questions about the work done as part of the recall were uninformative exaggerations, not to mention sarcastic, mocking, and outright rude.I emailed the dealership manager (he sometimes responds to reviews online) about my experience that day and havent heard back.Condescending and rude service managers are bad enough, and I planned to just not go back in the future. Then I noticed that they didnt reconnect the PCV hose after taking the air intake off my cars engine. I hope this was an honest mistake.
This wasnt Liberty Volkswagens best performance. My passenger rearview mirror was sagging, so I stopped by to have them look at it and tell me what needed to be fixed. The rep looked at it and said only the bracket holding the mirror was broken. He taped it together to hold it until my appointment, then walked me back to parts to get a price on the bracket. After getting the price, I told him to go ahead; he told the parts guy to order it, and we walked back to the service desk and made an appointment for Thursday morning, a couple of days later. (And I added an oil change.)After dropping my Jetta TDI off Thursday morning and getting a shuttle ride home, I got a call saying there was a problem; the part had never been ordered. They could have it the next day, but I had to leave my car overnight. I told them to do that.The person I spoke with also told me the oil change was finished, and did I want to have them install a new fuel filter? It is recommended for diesels at every oil change. I told him to go ahead and install it.So Friday around noon I got a call from a service rep saying there was an issue. While installing the new mirror bracket, the mechanic had broken the mirror. I asked what he was going to do about that. He replied that this sometimes happens. I said Im sure it does, but thats his problem, not mine; his guy broke it, so Im not going to pay to replace it. He said he would ask his service manager and call me back.I never heard back from him. So I drove to the service center, arriving a few minutes before they closed. I asked one of the service reps what had been resolved, and the other service rep said they had taken care of the mirror. (He said he had left a message; there was no voice or text message on my phone.) The mirror was, in fact, repaired and in great shape.When I got home I looked over the bill, and they had not installed the fuel filter.In summary:1) They didnt order the part, so I had to leave my car an extra day.2) They broke the mirror, and I had to insist that they replace it at their expense.3) They did not call me back saying they would replace it, nor did they call me back saying the service work was finished.4) They did not replace the fuel filter that they had recommended and that I had agreed to.The work they did do was excellent, as it always has been.

Very lack lustre approach to mask wearing. Extremely disappointing. Some staff were wearing no masks. Others weren’t wearing it properly. Would be nice if a company as prestigious as VW would try and be part of the solution.
I was in panic mode. I was traveling to O’Hare Airport when my Jetta TDI started acting up. I pulled off the interstate and straight to Liberty. They helped me arrange a rental car and I made it to the airport in time. The car is running great again.
I purchased a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta from this dealership. The salesman who helped me seemed like he was very new to his job, and although he was very polite, he told me hardly anything about the car or the financing. I am very pleased with the vehicle, but wish the salesman would have told me more about the deal I was making before I committed. I know that thats not all his fault, this was my first vehicle buying experience and I was definitely unprepared. That being said, I hold nothing against the salesman but I feel that the dealership as a whole should practice better business. Its rather irresponsible to offer somebody a high-risk loan when you know absolutely nothing about their level of income. Fortunately for me, I can afford to pay that type of money. But somebody who makes less than $50,000 a year with my credit history certainly would not be able to afford such a high payment

Please Consumer Beware. I took my Tiguan for 3 very important recalls for service. During this experience, the front office was very disrespectful. The whole process lacked leadership. They will do everything in their power to hide information about your car. Spoke to the manager about the issues at hand. Promised to a call back with what was fixed in the car. After 1 month of getting the recalls done. Nobody has explained to me or my wife of what kind work was done on the car. The service level is very poor. The promise of respect is not found in the front desk or the manager. Do yourself a favor & do not buy anything from this dealership. There is zero responsibility & accountability. It is shameful. It is in many ways a experience of discrimination. Buyer beware.
I had an exhaust system issue occur as I was heading out to move my son up to his college apartment. I took my car in expecting that I would have to leave it. They got it resolved and I was able to get back in the road in under and hour. It was totally unexpected and much appreciated.

Really bad service. I bought A3 in 2017. And I don‘t know why they didnt give me original title. It was a copy one. But I wanna sell my car this year. I contact them for 2 weeks. I just got the same response everytime that we will contact you later cuz we have to get more info. And after 14 days, I never got any calls.
My car had a recall that I had gone into the Libertyville VW back in August of 2020. Upon inspection, they determined that my vehicle fell under the recall, and needed new parts. But parts were not available at the location.Fast forward, 7 Months with hardly no communication until that point unless I reached out to them. I finally was able to schedule for the recall to replace parts.After dropping my car off, and asking the gentleman if anything else was needed. He said that I was good to go. He texted me about 30 minutes later saying that he needed both sets of keys. I wasn’t aware of this beforehand. They hadn’t told me upon scheduling my appointment. Luckily, I was able to find a ride back to the dealership with my second set of keys.After picking up my car, and turning on my vehicle I had 2 indicator lights on (windshield wiper fluid and replacing car key batteries). A worker at the dealership had to pull my car up to the front and park it, but didn’t take the time to either tell me of the indicator lights...or after the hassle I’d been through the past 7 months...top off my windshield wiper fluid and replace my key batteries.This place is a hassle to schedule, and their customer service is sub-par. Try VW Gurnee instead, you might have a better experience.

It’s always pricy to take your car to the dealership but you at least expect them to listen to you. I’ve also been to dealers with nicer receptionists.

They were not helpful when trying to determine what services were included with our lease. I am a young women and felt they were very condescending and rude. I know what is going on with my car as I am the one who drives it everyday and hope they respect all of their customers the same. John Paul and Brady were both dismissive and equally unhelpful. They did not even recognize that our vehicle was in for a service appointment. We have had great service in the past with a previous young gentleman and are sad to be so disappointed with who we were placed with today.
