Not to mention the turn around time was unbelievable, he had the car back to me within 2 days fully fixed. Eric is now my go to mechanic for life. I am delighted to have found Eric, who works as Doctor Hybrid as well as Doctor Bimmer. He recently performed a head gasket replacement on my 2010 Toyota Prius. Eric is a knowledgeable, skilled, fair and pleasant resource that were lucky to have in the greater Charlotte area. My Prius has served me without trouble for 220k+ miles, but recently knocking and shakes on cold start (and a check engine light and P0301 - cylinder 1 misfire code) prompted me to Google for the likely problem. Luckily, I did not drive the car more than a time or two after these noisy startups, as prolonged use after the head gasket begins to leak can wreak havoc. I learned that the cause of the symptoms was a leaking head gasket largely from an online video or two - and because I noticed the coolant level had dropped slightly for the first time. Head gasket replacement on a Prius is fairly complex, in that *many* components, hoses, wiring harnesses, etc. must be removed and capably replaced to successfully complete the job without causing other issues. Also, while the head gasket replacement is being done, additional services should be performed - including flushing the engine and cleaning the EGR system. I knew I wanted to have the job done by someone with specific experience replacing Prius head gaskets properly, who would do so competently without charging outrageous dealer rates. Finding Eric was not easy. The one resource I found was in California. Ultimately, I got a recommendation from them - for Doctor Hybrid (aka Doctor Bimmer... Eric). Eric returned my Prius to good running condition and I anticipate many more efficient miles from it. If/when I need additional work done on it (or my other vehicles), I plan to return to him.

Eric is very professional as well as transparent when discussing any maintenance issues with my car. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding the cars that he works on and I trust him to be the only bmw maintenance professional to work on my car.

Eric has been my go-to mechanic for years prior to his current shop. He serviced my Volvo and my Audi, and I trust his work. But what surprised me at my last visit was that he offered change the hybrid battery in my Lexus! Hes been doing battery replacements on Prius for a while, and my Lexus has a similar design. Eric is very versatile and talented. And to keep it BMW related, he also serviced my 325Ci since I bought it used back in 2017.
