What an absolute joke. This delivery/warehouse company was used by the company I bought a couch from. I chose my delivery date and waited. When they didnt show up, I called. I was told first they didnt put my couch on the truck because it didnt fit. That agent hung up on me. So did the next one I spoke with. Over the course of four calls that day, I was subsequently told they had a California zip code for me, and they couldnt update that I needed to contact the manufacturer. Which I did, only to discover later NOPE, they (of course) had the right ZIP all along.The first few people I spoke with tried to schedule me for delivery five days later. Good thing I didnt accept that offer because by the end of the day, reps were saying that they dont know if they even have my couch in the warehouse. If Id done what the first three agents I spoke with wanted me to do, I would have been sitting around this Saturday waiting for a couch that wouldnt come because...:The most recent email I received said my couch is in their California warehouse. And no estimate or indication of when it might make the cross-country trip and arrive in New Jersey. ZERO STARS.
Avoid at all cost. This people do evrething but their jobs. Dont deal with Jerwin, Angela or Julius, they are just inefficient, unprofesionnal, and probably a little dishonest too. Just a hugue wast of time and money
Really no stars but that is not an option. Ordered a bed for my daughter from Anthropolgie and paid for white glove service which included assembly. They just dropped the delivery off and left. Called dispatch to have them return and was told that they were told not to assemble. Thats right, I paid an extra 150.00 dollars just for the fun of it! The women I spoke with was incredibly rude and I will never order furniture from a company that uses metropolitan again.
At this point, it wouldve been less effort for me to drive across the country, get a UHAUL, pick up my package from its destination, have a freight carrier return my car to me, drive back across the country, and unload the package myself.I am now at the 1 month mark since the first correspondence with this company and still have yet to successfully book a date that works for BOTH parties.The inability of this company to successfully coordinate receiving times with their customers is staggering.Costco ended up using this carrier and I plan to send a STRONG recommendation that they no longer use them.
I cannot stress enough how BAD this experience has been. I have scheduled a delivery in April, it is now almost July and over 78 emails later, after constantly explaining the correct addresses, phone numbers, numerous times, the items are still not delivered.Today they shipped the wrong dresser to the wrong customer. Nobody in the office has any clue of what they are doing and constantly lie.SAVE YOUR MONEY, STRESS AND GO WITH ANYONE BESIDES THIS COMPANY.
Unbelievably unprofessional. I can not stress how much of a disappointment this Company actually is. I purchased bunk beds for my kids and they are beyond unhappy. For over a month, this company has consistently lied about the location and no one has every called me back. The escalation department is a joke. There is no such thing. After they finally delivered the bed, I was told that the bed has no hardware so they had to take it back. This is the 2nd time I am in the escalation department with no response on if/and or when Ill ever see the bed. Unbelievable...
Awful service. Horrible communication with customer base as well as between departments. Were hugely unhelpful in scheduling an appropriate delivery time and made NO effort in accommodating our schedule, ultimately withholding our package for an extended period of time until it was convenient for them.
Run far and fast from this poor excuse of a delivery company. I hired them to move a sideboard from NJ to CA. They picked up a brand new piece in mint condition from my end and delivered a broken mess to CA that was obviously dropped and broken beyond repair. I insured the item and after allowing them over two months to try and repair it, Metropolitan tried to deliver back their version of a repaired sideboard, complete with screws throughout the piece that were used to put it back together and dried glue everywhere. I refused delivery and asked for them to reimburse the amount I had insured it for. Instead, I get a response that because the manufacturer didnt do a good job making the piece, they were able to break it easily and therefore will not reimburse me for the amount I insured the piece for. Long story short, why would anyone deal with a company that gladly takes your money for piece of mind of insurance in case of damage during delivery, then breaks your piece, and refuses to give you the money back that you paid for insurance. Even better, they wont even refund the amount I paid for the delivery. There are dozens of other options out there such as Plycon Van Lines or even a random shipper on Uship. This company is the absolute worst!
After waiting 15 days from scheduling a pickup, I received a telephone call on Monday that my pickup would take place that day from 3 to 7 pm. I received a second call confirming this time a few hours later. I normally close at 5pm, but waited an extra two hours for the pickup which never came. The following day, I called them and was told that there was no truck in my area, and the nearest one was in Denver. I am in Chicago. I asked why I was told that my pickup would be yesterday if there was no truck within a thousand mile radius. The customer service representative to whom I spoke had no idea and told me, Youll just have to wait. I asked for how long, and she repeated, You just have to wait.
Horrible. Unfortunately Anthropologie furniture works with this company so as a customer there is no choice. They have unclear procedures with regards to certificate of insurance. They messed up the delivery multiple times: first brought the wrong item, then didnt show up, then did show up at the wrong time, and then a fourth time showed up with the right time but missing the required paperwork. Unbelievable. Rude drivers and incompetent office staff who dont respond to email or voicemails.
Worst experience. They called and confirmed delivery multiple times and then would change the delivery with less than 24 hours notice. I ended up calling out of work several days waiting for my delivery!
Terrible service. Avoid it...
