Hana Designs was recommended to me by a cancer care center in Vail, Colorado. I dont have cancer, but figured the center would have a good recommendation and the center did.Hana spent so much time with me, insuring I bought the appropriate piece, Hana didnt try to sell me an expensive item. She thought I would like the ease and care of a topper.We made a subsequent appointment for her to style the topper and to teach me how to use it. Again, she spent a lot of time with me and gave me clear, verbal instructions.I recently wore the topper to a wedding weekend in Dallas, where I received compliments on my hair (not hair piece). One person noticed it was an addition and complimented its blend with my natural hair.I plan to wear the topper all summer since my hair is always under a helmet or hiking hat.Hana is real busy, and she made me feel like I was her only customer.

Would give zero stars if I could. As someone that is just starting to transition and grow out my hair I sought out hana designs to help me maintain and style my hair as well as help me pick out a new wig and restore a couple older wigs. I was also hoping to get information about make-up services/instruction/classes. I originally left a message on Facebook that went unanswered for weeks so decided to stop in one day. Hana was completely rude and seemed annoyed as she could barely spare two minutes to talk to me. I was quickly directed to go to another Aveda salon without her even asking why I sought her out. I understand being busy but her customer service is non existent and I walked out without spending a single penny.

In the course of my work, I visit with specialist hair studios all over the country, and around the world. I have spent many hours at Hana Designs over the years and witnessed on numerous occasions Hanas dedication to her Clients, her expertise and creativity. She also cares about her team and her vendors. Just to enter her spacious studio, the delicate smell of essential oils, and how impeccably everything is displayed and spotlessly clean tells you immediately that this is a different experience. And you would need to travel far to find a larger choice of fine human hair creations for women and children who need to add to or replace their lost or thinning hair. This is a special place.

My mother and I drove two hours in 2020; I had an appointment. I have the most aggressive form of breast cancer. We were under the guise that this is/was a charitable shop. A sign was posted requesting Amazon Smile donations.The ladies I dealt with tried to sell me very fake looking wigs, which I declined. It seemed that they were trying to rid themselves of the cheap looking and ugly wigs. I wasnt shown anything acceptable; although I requested it. They said they didnt have anything in stock meeting my requirements even thought the place has an extensive wig collection.I told them emphatically that I did not want bangs. So, she heated the bangs of a wig to brush them back, which worked temporarily. Over $800.00 later, I ended up with a plastic wig that Im embarrassed to wear. The bangs are unacceptable, and hang in my face (almost chin length). I dont wear it because it looks so fake.These people have no compassion, are NOT a charitable organization, and show no respect for clients of color. I will never recommend this shop to other women with cancer.

My mom is getting ready to begin treatment for an aggressive form of cancer, thus the reason for her making an appointment at Hanas. After driving over 2 hours to get there, shed hoped to have a personalized and positive experience, especially since right now, theres not a lot of positive things with her situation or diagnosis. Unfortunately, she had a horrible experience at Hanas. In spite of scheduling an appointment, my mom was dropped and shoved aside for another customer. This customer was there because they are in transition to another gender, this individual was quite emotional, so consequently all attention was diverted to this other customer. I would never want to imply that anyones circumstances are more or less important than anothers, but sadly in this situation, my mom felt that her needs and situation were not important, relative to this other customers. If youre faced with a cancer diagnosis, Id think twice before shopping there, even though their website indicates oncology services, specifically for those going through treatment.

Im not one to go out of my way to provide a particularly negative review, however I think about my negative experience frequently. I bought a wig online and carefully chose Hana Designs (driving almost 2 hours away) due to the great reviews in order to ensure my new 24 wig was well taken care of. However, from the first phone call, I noticed how rushed and stressed Hana sounded. When I told her I wanted a few inches off, she replied A FEW INCHES?! as if that was unrealistic ask. I shrugged it off and decided to go through with my appointment. I was asked what I wanted done with my hair and I said I wanted it to look more realistic for me (Ive never had hair longer than my shoulders) and she replied that I should keep it long if I wanted to. The entire time I felt afraid of asking for more hair cut off because she seemed so insistent on keeping the length. I left with my hair still longer than Id liked, and, with much hesitancy, decided to call and ask for more hair to be cut off. I mean, Id paid $250+ to have my hair done Id better make sure I was satisfied (and I thought Hana would feel the same way). However, I ended up in tears on the phone because of how inconvenienced Hana made me feel. I had to drop off the hair, and then return later to pick it up because she said she didnt have enough time to do it while I was there. Overall, I just felt like my presence was inconvenient to her and she rushed to get me out the door. I am still unsatisfied with the finished product (hair was lopsided with no layers, because I was not there during the cut and Im sure the job was rushed). I am now in the process of ordering shears to thin out the ends by myself because frankly I dont have the money to go somewhere else. I provided 2 stars because she does have great skills in cutting hair, however my experience was so negative I thought I needed to at least tell my story. I will not be returning.

Hana Designs is an amazing shop and so is Hana! I went in to accompany my sister when she obtained a wig after a devastating loss of her hair after chemotherapy. Hana was skilled in assessing my sister and her needs and we ended up with a wig that closely resembled what her hair style was prior to loss. Hana was professional, helpful, reassuring, and very open about her own experience, which made credibility very important. Hana created a positive experience for what was quite a loss to ones self image.

My Mother was recently diagnosed with progressive fast growing lymphoma. She had to start chemotherapy a week after her diagnosis. She had very long black hair and for years been hesitant to even trim her hair. Well the chemotherapy took care of that, she lost all of her hair within weeks of her first chemotherapy. She was devastated, she hung on to every strand of hair that she lost. She had just begun working and was not able to return to work. So we didnt have money to shop for wigs. We had heard of “Hope for Hana” from another friend whom had a great experience as well as one of the nurses at one of her doctors office, so we called. The staff was very friendly on the phone and scheduled a consultation the next day. When we walked in it was a very inviting environment, we were greeted instantly. Hana was very kind and took a few minutes to get to know my Mom asked her “If I waved a wand over you and you could have any look, what would you ask for?” she listened and off she went like a fairy godmother and came back with some beautiful options. My mother picked the one she liked and Hana cut and styled it to fit my mom perfectly. Our experience was amazing and everything Hana did she did with a smile, a hug and compassion.My mom walked out of there a new confidant woman and I am very thankful for Hana’s Hope for providing this whole experience for my mother because without this charity she wouldnt have been able to feel like a woman again.

I hated my wigs and avoided going out in public or making eye contact when wearing one. Hana styled my wigs so stylishly that I look for reasons to go out and wear them now. They look better than my own hair did! Also, she was so friendly, kind and welcoming. Feeling unsure and scared while going through Chemo I was referred to Hana by two friends also riding the breast cancer train. My first visit, I was over welmed, nervous and super emotional. Hana saw that and greeted me with a smile, a hug, and her story. She made me feel comfortable and cared for. I am currently receiving chemo treatment - and of course I have lost my hair. I purchased my first wig from Hana. Her staff was so helpful yet allowed you to freely move around the store and try wigs on at your leisure.I went back to have her work on the wig after a couple of months as it had become dry and flat. I didnt have the money for a new wig. Hana allowed me to fill out the forms for her non profit. And there was a lady sitting getting her hair styled, Jannet, she also donated toward the wig. I cried!!! What an amazing group of people! I would recommend the wigs and the customer service to anyone!!! Thank you all for reading!

Although I had no appointment, Hana took the time to select several wigs to help me figure out what I might want. That visit resulted in me booking an appointment with Hana and getting a wig that complements my features and makes me really feel good about how I look despite losing my hair!I would highly recommend Hana Design. Hana Designs has been a SECOND HOME to me ever since I was diagnosed with Alopecia (an auto-immune hair loss disease) in seventh grade. I met Hana then, almost 9 years ago, and love her and her business to this day! I always feel relaxed, confident, comforted, and loved when I walk into her place - the atmosphere is the best!Ive purchased at least 4 synthetic wigs from there, and later on, 2 real hair wigs. All were incredible quality for me, and Hana always had great tips and advice to help take care of them. When the synthetic wigs got frizzy and knotted like they get after quite a bit of use, Hana offers to steam them, which can help them last that much longer! Also, my real hair wigs have all been top notch, and as reasonably priced as Hana could get them. The fact that she takes quality time to style them is a great service to us wig wearers!Hana knows her stuff - shes clearly done plenty of research on this type of business, has networking connections, and has a very personal experience with hair loss (from chemotherapy), so Hana Designs is about as authentic as it gets.Thank you Hana and her coworkers for the constant care and support!

I really had a lot of fun picking out what wig would be for me. It felt like a day at the spa it was wonderful to have all the attention on me and choosing the right fit the right look and to get educated on what I was facing because I had no idea I knew nothing about wigs so it was great I left the store feeling much much more confident about how to wear a wigs the hole Visitat was a very Pleasant experience.

Haha is just amazing. I took my niece to her for a half wig and loved it so much that when she needed a full wig we knew we were only gonna go to her again as were so happy we did. Looks as natural as possible. My niece was actually excited about the one she picked out because how great it not only looked on her but how much it was able to help her self esteem. Try Tressmerize, you get Remy HUMAN hair and you don’t have to pay Hana’s outragueose prices. I truly had a bad experience, I will never go backI do not care about the return policy, that has absolutely nothing to do with my personal BAD experience!

DisappointingI want to start by saying if I could give less than 1 star I would. I have a very aggressive case of Alopecia and have lost about 90% of my hair in less than 4 months. I went in to Hana Designs to get my first wig and made an appointment with Hana and I will say that at that appointment everything went well. The wig I bought was not the most expensive but not cheap either and I was told to wash the wig ever 6 weeks and then bring it back in every 6 months so they can de-fuss it and was under then impression that they would do all of that for free. But when I went back 3 weeks later to ask some questions about my wig I had the worst customer experience I have ever had. After about a week or so the wig started to get really big knots in the back after wearing it for only an hour and just kept getting worse. Now after about 15 minutes it starts to knot up and looks horrible and looks like a really bad cheap wig. So I went back to get some advice to see how I could make this stop and from the moment I stepped in the door I felt like I was being pushed off and that no one had time to talk to me. I understand that I did not make an appointment and that Hana did have a client but she and the other girl talking to me made me feel stupid and like I was an annoyance to them. I was told that I could pay to have it washed and de-fussed but that it would only help for a little while that because of the length of the wig there was nothing that would solve the problem. This was not at all what I was told when I purchased the wig. After explaining that I have only had it 3 weeks and that I was told wrong information the girl that was helping me just kept saying that I could pay to have it washed and de-fussed and that was it. Then she was walked away while I was still talking to her and started helping someone else. I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life. At a time when I needed a womans help and understanding, all they cared about was charging me for services I shouldnt have needed yet. This has been a very challenging part of my life and then to feel taken advantage of on top of it brought me to a new low. I can say that I will never spend another dollar at Hana Designs and will tell anyone who asks that they are the worst shop to go to. I have since bought some great cheap wigs on Amazon and love them!

As a young person with scarring alapecia I was very insecure coming into the store. I didnt know what to expect from a synthetic wig after being burned by spending over 4K on a human hair wig that lasted less than a year and a half. (Purchased from the local competitor) I didnt have a choice but to hope that I would be treated better by this wig salon. When I was approached by Hanna herself and introduced to her stylist I immediately felt relaxed. The process of choosing the right one took over an hour. I was educated on how to wear it, shown different styles that worked for me and told how to maintain it (without buying special products) to maintain its life. Since my initial purchase a year ago, my wig is still beautiful because Ive properly cared for it with the help of Hanna and her team. They have earned my trust and my business for life as it seems my condition will not improve.

Dealing with hairloss - no matter what the reason, is traumatic to say the least. When it comes down to it - shaving the remainder of your hair rates up there with one of the most difficult parts of any one persons life. Hanas girls took time, care and most of all - great empathy and hope when they shaved my head. As I sat there and cried (sobbed really) - Hana came over from her work on another great customer and held me and soothed me. I cannot say enough about her and her staff. She makes being BALD really - ok. I will keep going to her - keep telling everyone about her for the rest of my days. AND - if you have to wait - which we all do - its because she is taking time to make sure every single person feels cared for and thats just how it is. I go in and KNOW that I will be waiting - I never go in with a timeline. You just cant. Its how it is and its ok...youll get your turn and you will see how WORTH IT it is.
