I’m a new pool owner and went in a couple weeks ago for a part. The young lady running the register and answering calls was very pleasant and accommodating. One thing I did notice was the other guy in the store seemed overwhelmed and had a few people with questions for him. I fee like he was trying to help the customers but was also frustrated at the same time. Maybe he just isn’t a good people person, I don’t know. I felt like he should be managing and hire a few more workers to handle the customer contacts. I would still recommend this place. They are well stocked but just maybe a little understaffed at the moment.

We just had a service call and we are soooo happy we would like to give a shout out to you guys. Alfredo the service manager was fantastic! He braved the pouring rain, a giant barking dog and even some thunder. He fixed our pool so we can finally open it this year. Alfredo was polite and interested in showing us best practices. We will be repeat customers (but hopefully not too soon) and recommend your company anytime!

I recently had my valve replaced on my pool by Detroit Pool. I got home to inspect their work and was disappointed. They cut off a portion of the backflush pipe and the hose was still attached. I found it lying on the ground. They didnt even bother to re-attach the hose. Moreover, the seal between the new valve and the sand filter had an obvious leak. The tech insisted it was condensation. Im an engineer and have a clear understanding of heat transfer and ac operation. There was never a leak there in the past. Now there is. When I spoke to the tech he seemed irritated and said it would be a month before he could come back to look at it. My pool is scheduled to be closed in a week. What will happen next year when the leak is worse? Guess Ill be paying for it. Detroit pool, please do the right thing and repair this before you loose a customer.

Terrible service. Both man and young lady were rude and unprofessional. For being first time pool buyers we just needed a little help and he made it like we were dummies. Never go there again.

Went to get the water tested, Clint acted like I was MAJORLY inconveniencing him... also he wore no mask although I wore one and the sign suggested it... I’ll be heading back to Allstate where the people are ALWAYS polite and don’t act like it’s a big huge deal to do their job!

Always get great service here with some of the most reasonable prices around. They are competitive with internet sources but also provide friendly and sound advice too.

Gordy and the staff are very knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. Their water testing technology guided me to getting everything in order this year and I was really out of whack to start! They are a full service repair shop as well and I just dropped off my Dolphin for service. I am happy to have a store close to my home that is easy to access and has excellent customer service. Weve used Discount Pool and Spas to open and close our pool a few times now with no problem. This year was an absolute train wreck though and we will not be using them again. I recommend you find a different vendor to open and close your pool.Aside from being overbooked (wed have gladly paid more to have it done sooner), we waited until mid-June to get the pool opened. When the guys showed up, they had every reason under the sun why they couldnt finish the job on that day. The only real concern that I couldnt convince them we not a problem was the skimmer was cracked.Since we agreed this was a legit issue, they left the job without completing it. They basically took the pool cover off and put chemicals in and that was it. We were told that they would be in touch about the skimmer being replaced and they would come out to install the skimmer and finish the pool opening.Over the course of the next week, we called them 3x. Each time being told Well call you tomorrow with an update and receiving no return call.Finally today we were told that they dont carry the skimmer, well have to buy it from another store, they wont install it because theyre too busy (shocker, I know) and they consider the pool no open and will be sending us a bill.You should only use this company if youre into shoddy workmanship, unfulfilled promises, paying for services you dont receive and enjoy having a company waste your time. Consistently friendly & helpful and they really go the extra mile. Just today my chlorinator was broken, they not only had exactly what I needed in stock, but then they also opened the product and put it all together so that it would be super easy for me to put back on at home.

Great people to work with - but we actually never built a pool. These guys are ethical and do the right thing. I got relocated with my company after I had already put my deposit down and these guys did the design, permits, etc. and still ended up giving me all of my money back. They didnt have to do that but they seem like a good family operation that does the right thing.

Hired this business to replace my above ground pool liner two years ago. They contract this work out. It was such an absolute horror that I still think about it and get angry. I am working on the pool now and just looking at the liner with its huge patch made me come in and write this review two years later. The company they subcontract had very young adults do the job and other than being very polite it was an absolute mess that ended horribly with me paying big money for something I could have done better myself. In the end I was out thousands of dollars for a liner with a large hole and a bunch of dead grass. It took three weeks to get to this point. Do not hire these people. They will smile but they dont care one bit.

So very helpful and knowledgeable, they won me over before I even got there in person!

This is my go to place now for chemicals and equipment. Gordy and staff very helpful and knowledgable.

Nice people just have to much business for the amount of workers. Dont have time for the customer.
