This is not a discount shop. Full-price operation. Yet they could not be ruder, could not rush you more, and turnaround? 2+ weeks for a simple single-lens pair of glasses? What a joke. Get your eye exam and PX, go online and youll have them in 3-5 days at half the cost.
2 hours for an eye exam. Staff is slow and overbooked. False advertising all around to draw in business but no deals. This place is a joke!
Dr. Zimmerman was absolutely wonderful with my son. He took his time and patience with him during our visit. He listened to our concerns and truly was in tune with how to handle younger children who have never seen an eye Dr. Before. Thank you for your wonderful professionalism you displayed today.
The absolute worst service I’ve ever had at an establishment, was told one price, only to come back to a price that was almost five times as much (not exaggerating) waiting on a call back from a manager that I’m positive will never come....
Dr Zimmerman was great the rest of the stuff was not personable. Will be going somewhere else next time.
Chris is awesome! I’ve been holding off getting new glasses for the longest time, but I broke my glasses and I really need them. So I figured I’d give this place a try and to my surprise they made it so painless! Super straight forward exam, help picking my frames and what my insurance covered. No surprises! I remember my last pair costing me nearly 4x as much somewhere else. My lens were in stock too and I got to take them home the same day. Thanks Chris! You guys rock! I can see again!
Couldn’t find the frames I wanted, I was looking for the same frames I’d had before and could not find them anywhere. I had resigned myself to a lesser pair but right as I was about the checkout Chris found the exact pair I want that could be ordered. I was elated. Will recommend you anyone needing help getting a new pair of specs.
This place doesnt even deserve one star. The pair of glasses that I purchased on 9-15-2017 has already broken, today is 11-29-2017. Plus Ive been back in there many times since purchasing my glasses for tightening& adjusting since then what a hassle Ive never had to do that so many times in a whole two years of owning glasses from anywhere else before absolutely absurd. The first time I brought my dissatisfaction to the employees attention I was told I could purchase a second pair for myself I was not about to give that place any more of my money after they sold me the first pair of garbage glasses. I was not going to be scammed again by them and end up with yet another pair of garbage glasses for myself... Ugh what a waste of my time and resources. Very disappointing it shouldnt have happened. I can only hope to help and save other patients/consumers from being scammed into giving these crooks any of their hard earned money and wasting their time!
Hubby and myself both had appointments today. My eyes have been off for the past few years. The optometrist, J. Zimmerman, O.D, has gone above and beyond in adjusting my prescription each time I come in with problems. There is also an older shorter lady who works there who is the sweetest person. She helped me pick out frames that fit my face, since Im blind without my own glasses on. They also have a big selection of frames to choose from. Prices are pretty good too.Hubby had a very good experience today too. He has double vision and has to have prism in his lenses. Zimmerman took the time to make sure everything was right for him.
I wanted to switch to VisionWorks because of Dr. Zimmerman as I know what a upstanding person he is, however I couldn’t get passed the rude staff member Amy Hackmer. When I first called she rudely responded with “whoa, whoa, whoa” because I had spoken too quickly. I overlooked it and thought maybe it was my impression. She also stated that she took our insurance, however upon our arrival she immediately wanted our insurance no greeting, no hello. Upon receiving our insurance she stated that she they didn’t take our insurance. She was extremely rude, when I recalled that she never told me that. Upon my return home I called my insurance to inquire and the representative stated that they are supposed to take the insurance. The representative even called on me behalf and spoke to the same associate who was also rude to the insurance representative!! I explained that I do not feel comfortable returning, so therefore will not be a patient if Dr. Zimmerman.
We always find glasses we love, and Dr. Zimmerman is great! The staff is wonderful and we always get our glasses back quickly.

I have to be honest and say that the customer service at Visionworks Lockport was the best I’ve ever experienced. Especially one of your associates, Dana Hohl. She was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and the reason that I will recommend this establishment to all of my friends and family. If God ever created a human being to be the leader of an optical store it would be Dana Hohl. If all of your employees were half as good as her the world would be a better place.
Sat on my glasses and they repair them. They were friendly and very accommodating
Vision test was fast and easy, called and got an appointment that day, came in and was out in 20 minutes, and my glasses were r3ady the next day
