Very happy to be able to go back as the pandemic put me a year behind, and I needed new glasses! The staff has everything sanitized at all times, and got me in a little early. Dr. John is outgoing and friendly as always. Thorough exam, prescription updated, overall eye health monitored, and got some sample single use contact lenses to try. Then worked with Cathy to choose frames, get fit, and pick the options for new glasses. She worked through all the insurance (I have a lot of optional add-ons to my lenses because of a strong prescription, so its complicated to make sure that all the allowances from the insurance get applied correctly.) Paid and placed the order, and was out in less than an hour. Best eye care in the Joliet / Lockport area.

At places like lens’s crafters, I wasn’t eligible for normal contacts. Family eye care of Lockport found a company that designed a custom custom contacts for people with vision like me. The doctor is wonderful but the staff is another story! I made my appointment 3 months in advance and they wait till my appointment time to let me know there is a problem with my insurance after they had plenty of time to contact me. I had to call my insurance because they wouldnt. I got it all figured out for them yet they still couldnt help me. I live 40 minutes away and I walked out without even being seen. What a waste of time! I will never go back!

Very friendly, great staff. The Dr was great during the eye exam, I felt like he really listened. He also explained the whole process very well, even why 1 and 2 look exactly the same half the time. One of the biggest things that I liked was that they were not pushy about me buying glasses from them, my insurance sucks at that portion and when I realized they were going to be twice as expensive as elsewhere there was no push back for me to buy from them.I have started bringing my family here as well, my daughter had a pleasant experience when we came in for her kindergarten screening. I would highly recommend Family Eye Care of Lockport to anyone with kids or any kind of vision related needs.

Ive been going to the Doctors Fron for eye exams/glasses/contacts for over a decade. Each employee there has a good attitude and demeanor. Everyone is always professional, polite, and they work hard to do the best for you. Staff is knowledgeable about discounts that may be available through insurance, price-match, sales, etc., and will make sure you leave the office satisfied with your glasses. They do price-matching for contacts, too, which is great because not a lot of places do that. They also do a lot of community things, like collecting for the local food pantry or collecting letters for Santa.

Ive been going to different eye doctors since a very young age. This is the first place that I am happy with all of my eye treatment; been coming here for 5 years now. Family eye care of Lockport has such great service with their patients. Everyone working there is friendly, kind and helpful. I have been using both doctors for at least 10 years, and can honestly say I couldnt ask for better eye care. They both take their time and deal with you as if you were their only patient. I shoot in competitive rifle leagues, so my vision is extremely important to me, and they always have me walking out of their office with the clearest, most comfortable contacts and glasses possible, and at a very reasonable price. Their old office was not a showplace however the new office has had a lot of thought put into it in both its eye appeal but its functionality as well. Twice I had bad experiences. Was forced to buy a years worth of contacts and the contacts didnt work and I couldnt return them Then went in for an an exam another time for glasses and contacts and didnt get a full exam nor did I get instructions to return for one. Didnt have time to shop for glasses since the exam took an hour then was given attitude when I didnt buy glasses. I wasnt even given an eyeglass prescription! I had to call for everything. So disorganized and frustrating. Not necessary.

It was extremely unprofessional and unfortunate that I showed up to pick up my glasses at 7:15pm today because I was told I had until 8 to do so and come to find out, the doors were locked and everyone was gone. This is twice now that this has happened to me. I just dont understand why you have hours listed and no appointment necessary if you leave whenever. Very disappointing. So now I have to try yet again another night after I get off work and make the hour drive and ATTEMPT to pick up my glasses. I love the people there but this really is a bad taste in my mouth about this.

I was able to see an optometrist there, who after my exam, gave me the exact same prescription contacts as Dr Fron had been giving me.
