I have had zero issues filling RX’s here since switching from another pharmacy a few months ago. I wanted to mention pharmacy tech Mary is always so pleasant and helpful. The pharmacists I’ve interacted with have also been helpful. There was a tech today obviously having a bad day & that created a poor interaction when I dropped off my RX so that’s why I only gave 4 stars.
They are always helpful and the pharmacist didn’t know how to ring up food but took the time to figure it out for me. They go the extra mile!
Failed to place an order twice.
If youre hoping for any kind of customer service do not use this pharmacy. Since breaking my shoulder a few months ago Ive had multiple issues with them. Today was the last straw. After having a procedure I brought in a prescription for pain medication. The pharmacy tech came to the drop off window and instead of greeting me she stood in front of me, facing another direction, and continued a personal and non pharmacy related conversation with another employee. When she did turn to face me I handed my prescription to her. Instead of looking at it she proceeded to read and respond to a text on her phone. While entering my prescription, clearly for pain medication, she asked me what it was for and why did my doctor write it. I told her specifically that it was for pain after having a procedure. She looked at me like I had 3 heads and said the pharmacist needed to look at it. I realize there is an opioid problem in our country. But it was the absolute lowest dose and a quantity for only 7 days. They did something similar when I broke my shoulder and brought in my prescriptions immediately after being discharged from Silver Cross with a surgical dressing on my shoulder and my arm in a huge sling. They screwed up my other medications that same day. I had numerous negative customer service issues with other techs as well. Heaven forbid they do their job or try to have good customer service. Im transferring my one and only daily medication to Meijer.
Every time I contact this Walmart Lockport pharmacy by phone or as a walk in, I am impressed. They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Their customer service is the reason that I gave 5 stars. I feel that they really care about our well being. We used to go to Walgreens which is nice too, however since we pay out of pocket for our medicine, we have saved a lot of money by switching to Walmart.
Friendly staff, great customer service
I had a disturbing experience at the Walmart, Lockport, Il Pharmacy and would like to share it . I left Silver Cross Hospital with a patient that was just released from the hospital with a pain prescription that was needed . I tried to hand in a prescription to the Pharmacy and the prescription was refused since it was a few minutes before 7:00 PM. The patient was just released, and was waiting in my car, and required the medicine for pain management. I explained the situation and the young woman still refused to help. She said their computer would be down at 7:00 and it would have to wait for it until the next day. She told I needed to go to a Walgreens 24 hr. pharmacy. When I asked where the nearest Walgreens 24 hour pharmacy was, she said she did not know, and her fellow employee said in New Lenox, Il, on Route 30. After driving half way there, I pulled over and called just to sure they were a 24 hour facility, and I am glad I did. They were not. I had to call around, and drive all the way to the Walgreens in Lemont, Il. who professionally filled the prescription.I feel I was not treated in a professional manner by the Pharmacy Department and that they were uncaring. I have worked in Retail, and when closing time was close, we always stayed open until the last customer that was in the store was served. Many times this extended after closing time. One would think a Pharmacy would especially want to act in a professional manner. So many times the medicine they dispense is vital .
Lost my prescription
