Was looking to buy 3 1/2 nails to repair our front outside steps. Didnt sell individual speciality nails, we had to buy a whole box, but now we have them for future repairs, until we can have the stairs replaced. What kept this visit from getting a higher rating was the staff never acknowledged me. I was clearly looking, but no one offered assistance, which is what I thought they prided there selves on.

Larry saved the day! He took the time to help find just what I needed to stabilize my daughters heat press. And when I told my daughter how awesome he was and suggested she ask for him if she ever needed help. She looked at my receipt and said mom, this says Larry is the store manager. WOW! On my way to the register I announced that Larry got the employee award for the day. The cashier said they would have to order it. I said that if they used Prime they could get it fast. Had no idea Larry was the manager. Way to go Valu of Lockport, NY!

This used to be my favorite hardware store. What happened?No one wants to help you, kid watched me search paint for primer and never offered help.Manager is incredibly rude, not only to me - I also observed him ignoring the needs of others as well. Its very sad

Our experience at shopping in Value stores has always been positive. The staff are always helpful, the prices be are competitive, and we always find what we need, and sometimes a few additional items. Their sales flyers are always helpful. Thank Value, for giving us alternative shopping in our area.

The only alternative to dealing with the big orange or blue place. The staff are always very helpful and kind and greet you at the door. For some reason it actually feels sincere. When they help you, if they cant sort out what youre looking for they will very swiftly get somebody who can to assist you. I have never had to wait long at all for help or to get the products Ive purchased loaded. I am glad they are still around.

My truck broke down in the middle parking lot the other night I walked in to the store to tell them why it was there and we were getting it towed the next day, the 2 men working offered to come out and help push it to a parking spot then the next morning I called the store to let them know a tow truck was coming soon and the man I talked to was so kind about it all!!! I did not actually buy anything but the customer service of everyone I and an interaction was amazing!!!!!

Best easy way to get some home fixer uppers done cheep and priced right, without going to a huge home store. However sometimes you may have to for larger jobs.
