Recently bought my first car and had no clue about car maintenance basics. Dave and Danny patiently answered all of my questions and pointed out relevant information about my car. They gave me helpful tips on how to change a tire, like not putting your foot under the car in case the jack fails and to, at least for me, invest in a better breaker bar. My husband and I have serviced our family vehicles with Dave for over 20 years. Last week we added another vehicle to our fleet for our sons. Dave held our hand and provided through inspections of multiple used cars that we were interested in purchasing. Yes we bought one and yes, Dave has already placed new tires on this car! Dave has always listened, has patiently waited, and has always provided outstanding service! His level of experience is hard to find and his prices are reasonable and fair. Great honest service. I was told by several other mechanics that I needed a whole new engine, these guys figured out it was a simple cap that was broken. Car was fixed fast and cheap, they even do a free consultation before they start to fix anything. Car has been running great ever since. Will definitely be taking all my future car troubles to these guys!

Honest and Great Service is what I received at Areawide Automotive. I had a coupon for one of those national chain repair shops for a $14.99 oil change. After having my car in the shop for an hour and a half, the manager came out and told me I needed front and rear brakes and about $800.00 dollars of other work and the car wasnt really safe to drive. I felt a little uneasy as he was trying to push all this other work. I told him to just do the oil change as I wanted to get a second opinion on the other stuff. He then became rather rude and told me to have a seat while they put my car back together. I told my father about what this place told me and he suggested I take my car to his mechanic, Dave, at Areawide Automotive and have him inspect it. After the inspection Dave brought me into the shop to show me my vehicle. The brakes were only about 50% worn and he only found a couple of minor things it needed for about $150.00. I learned a valuable lesson. I will now have all my repairs done only at Areawide Automotive. Thanks from Megan.

I had a great experience here. They were very straight forward with me. I needed my brakes done on the cheap and they never once tried to up sell me. They gave me all my options. Full replacement of brakes and rotors, brakes and cutting existing rotors or just a brake pad replacement. Like I said I needed it cheap so I just did the pads and thats exactly what they did. I checked around and the price was certainly fair.I would come here againEdit: I decided to expand on this experience even more. When it came down to the final cost of the pad replacement and i took out my card, to my surprise the final cost was nearly exactly what he quoted. I wanted to also mention the parts were quality not some cheap junk. He also asked if I would like to see the old pads, so I could see for myself that I did in fact need new brakes badly. He also did one other thing that I think is just a cut above. Since I decided on my own not to get the rotors cut, I asked what the drawbacks to that could be? He told me that you could feel a wobble at high speeds, possible squeaking or premature pad wear but he test drove my car when he was finished and he didnt see, hear or feel any of those so i probably didnt NEED to get the cut anyway. I ask you, what mechanic would say this to a customer??????Good honest ones.

Best mechanic around! Dave always knows how to fix whatever problem is going on. You can really trust him as well. He never tries to sell you on other things and hes even gone out of his way to fix some stuff on our cars for no charge. Hes a good guy.

I get flat tires on my riding lawn mower frequently. I called Areawide to see if they could repair them. They told me to come right over and were able to seal the tire well. I have used there services several times and they are always very friendly and pleasant and the tires are always as good as new and can be used when I get home. They have saved me a lot of time and money on repairs and new tires. I would highly recommend them

Talked to them early this morning and was quoted at a pretty fair price for exhaust work and set up a time for the same day. Quote was a little higher than it was over the phone, but for good reason, and the communication and punctuality go miles in my books.

I originally took my car in to the Hyundai dealership where I was given a laundry list of items that had to be replaced for $2550! I called up Dave and gave him the list. His price was $400+ cheap for the items. He suggested I bring it in and have him look at it to see what really needed to be done. Of course, I didnt need all of the items the dealership wanted to do to the vehicle and I ended up saving about $1,200 off the total from what the dealership quoted. I dropped my car off the night before and everything was done and the car was ready to go before I even got off work the following day. Dave and Andrew are great guys and they wont rip you off. I have had no problems with the repairs that were done and my car is running great!

My experience was great! I took my wifes 1998 Honda Accord for a catalytic converter after failing emissions. After going to my usual place and getting an estimate of almost $700 I decided to do some price checking. Most just looked at the year, make and model and gave estimate from the computer. The cars catalytic converter was welded in place instead of clamps so Dave at Areawide got the car on the rack and looked over the situation and estimated $300. When I came back to pick up car I was pleasantly surprised and Dave said he didnt have to replace one pipe so it was about $25 less. Since then I have taken my sons car there too. I have another two cars that I will be taking to Areawide for service when they need it. Im a customer now.

My CRV 2006 had a strange noise when I drove it these past couple of days. I kept up with all the maintance on the schedule and didnt know what the heck was wrong with my car. I became scared to drive due to the noise! A few of my friends cars are still in shops due to the Aprl17,18 storm and flooding, so I was very nervious.Anyway, I found this shop online and decided to make a call to check it out on April 24.I talked to Dave and he told me that his shop was packed up untill next Wednesday (May1) and he only can take a test drive and possibly identify the problem. After a 5 minute test drive, Dave confirmed to me that my car was in good shape and only need to remove a corroded piece in the bottom of the transmission. He even did not charge me for service or diagnostic fee!I was so worried before came to his shop and was ready for some serious maintenance/ repair (with cost) and now I feel so relieved.Dave and his team members did a great job with great customer service. Honest, friendly, and courteous. I definitely will use Daves service in the future and recommend his shop.Thank you for all previous comments. They were very useful in me deciding to take my car here.
