I love the atmosphere from the friendly support staff to the outstanding Chiropractors!!! This is my third visit and I’m feeling good!!! For example I had my back adjusted; in the thoracic area. My breathing capacity in my lower right lobe of my lung is filling with more oxygen! I probably was looking a little crazy when I walked out but the 3rd lobe was filling up beyond its normal capacity! Do you know what it feels like to have your lung feel to it’s fullest capacity? It gives you a buzz and lights up your entire body!!! I drove home singing at the top of my voice!!! Because I could!!! Thank you Doctor Cruz!!! Yes, I can complement without using exclamation points at the end of each sentence. But do you know how you would feel with full lung capacity? And you thought all along you had full lung capacity. The staff was pleasant, facility was nice. Price was extremely high based upon service offered / competitors. Presentation of treatment was like buying a used car, lots of promises...I actually canceled my appointments and had trouble getting a complete refund!

Took my 89 year old mom in today for first time was very happy. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. My mom suffers from 24/7 vertigo for the last 6 weeks. Needless to say she moves extremely slow and needs a lot of extra care. We were very pleased. Time will tell if it helps, nothing else has so far. But they are trying their best thats for sure.

Sohma has three excellent chiropractors, offers accupuncture and massage, all of which I have had done for me. The office staff is efficient and gracious. The machines (rolling massage, spine extension) ready your spine for adjustment. The facility itself is beautiful and parking is convenient. I have nothing but good to say about them.

I LOVE this place. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Dr. Kroeze is so thorough, she sat down and walked me through my x-rays (and even drew on them) to explain what we are working to correct and what the treatment plan should look like. Jamie is a great massage therapist (book early and often!) it’s like she extracts the pain from my body. Mariah at the front desk cracks me up and all the staff make me feel so welcome and safe. When you find a good practice, stick with them! Even when I moved an hour away I keep coming back! I feel lucky to be a patient at SOHMA.

So grateful for the great care I have been receiving @ SOHMa Health center! Dr. Hoover & Dr. Dawson have helped me with my Sciatica issues! Dr. Kruez helped me w/ my TMJ issues! I have nothing but good things to say about SOHMA Integrative Health Center. I originally was referred there a few years ago for a frozen shoulder and was treated by Dr Hoover and his staff. I was so happy with them because not only did he treat my shoulder he found that the root cause was my neck. I left feeling better than I had in years so I referred my family there. They continue to go to Dr. Hoover who is extremely interested in making you feel better. I recently went back for a massage for my back and I had Kai who did a fantastic job at releasing my muscle spasms. I highly recommend you go there for any problem you may have. Knowledgeable and friendly doctors and staff. I needed to find something to help me with the pain of a bone bruise from a fall I had 45 days ago. It was unrelenting and I had a terrible time sleeping. I could tell the difference after my first treatment and actually slept better. Still awoke at 3am with pain but it was less. The next day I was able to take a nap. Still awoke at 3am but the pain was less again. I have no doubt that after all the medication (that had little or no effect) I am on the right track.

I never knew that Sohma existed since I’ve been in Long Beach for 17+ years. I looked them up on yelp and I decided to give this a try to my mom has been having back problems and Dr. Dawson is been very helpful to my mom. I decided to go try him out for myself and Dr. Dawson is very useful and taking steps to improve my shoulder strain. Everyone is very friendly and following safety precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am definitely coming back to him! Keep up the excellent work!

I was on a long, slow recovery, road after breaking my ankle six months prior to my first visit. Traditional physical therapy, through my insurance, barely got me started. After my first adjustment I was walking 50% better. I have been going for three months now getting chiropractic and massage therapy. Im so thankful for the healing Ive experienced thus far. An added bonus is that that my insurance is accepted here!

I have been coming to SOHMA for a few years now. The amazing doctors at SOHMA were able to get my 6 year old daughter out of extreme pain when no other doctors could. They are always so kind and accommodating. I am most impressed with their knowledge of the body and I love that they take xrays before they do anything. I now take my daughter regularly and I have referred many people who also love the care they receive at SOHMA.

My husband and I went to get a massage booked for 9am and 10am. It was a truly wonderful experience and our massage lady did an excellent job. IIRC her name is Pam and she is a newer massage therapist there. She listened carefully to our needs and applied precision and skill where we wanted. Thank you so much for a wonderful date day getting relaxing massages! We will be coming back again and booking with Pam!

This place is somewhere I’ll forever recommend to people. I love how they really focus on you and your needs. I met a few people during my first visit and they were very welcoming and helpful. The environment in their office is very calming and peaceful. I have seen other chiropractors and none of them have helped me like they did today.

Started going to SOHMA three months ago. I was having trouble with my back, shoulders, neck, knees and feet. After a few visits I was seeing relief from my pain. I’ve been coming here for several months now and have been getting adjusted by Dr. Hoover. I had severe neck and back pain when I started. I would constantly get neck pain at least 2x a week. After several adjustments and exercises, the pain went down drastically. Now, a few months later, my neck pain is completely gone and hasn’t relapsed or come back. If you go in for your adjustments and massage, and do your part at home, there’s no reason why you wouldn’t get great results. Really great experience every time. Professional and fun staff. I’d highly recommend this practice to everyone.

Had such horrible back pain I practically crawled in the place. And I’ve never been to a chiropractor before. But I walked out on my own accord! They got me in fast, got me functioning, and now we have a plan to restore me to full back health! They’re amazing!

By far the best around.I have neck and lower back issues. Both were in constant pain and my range of motion was very limited. Now I am virtually pain-free and my range of motion is surprising me because I am doing things that I thought that I would never do again.I recommended my 86 year-old sister-in-law who had torn her hamstrings almost 2 years ago. It pained me to see her walk. She is back to walking at 6 a.m. in the morning as well as doing Tai chi

I have been a patient for almost a year and have had the absolute best treatment all around. I came in exhausted from back pain from a bad fall. Ive gone to SOHMA for a few different needs and all were met with amazing service and results. The first was Chiropractic, and Dr. Hoover knows his stuff! I am a triathlete that tends to injure himself frequently. I had a knee and hip ache that I was dealing with for quite some time until I had Dr. Hoover treat it, and the issues and aches are gone! Another way we frequent SOHMA is for the martial arts classes my son attends. Daniel is an authentic and very knowledgeable martial artist trained in Shaolin Kempo and is great passing down the art! I couldnt think of a better sensei to trust my son with. And yet another visit recently has been to buy herbs from Daniel, also a Master Herbalist, to help aide the healing of my daughters broken arm. Ive also been attending Daniels black belt workouts during lunch and its a great way to spend 30 minutes building fitness prior to plowing the calories into the gut :-) I love that Daniel has so many backgrounds and talents, hes like a one-stop shop! Just today during the workout session I had an extremely bad headache (the kind that make you want to pass out or throw up :-P and Daniel stops and asks if Im ok. As Ive got my hands on my knees I enlighten him to the crazy headache I have. He pulls me to his Chiro table and checks my neck. A quick adjustment (literally 30 seconds) and the headache was gone!!!! Daniel is amazing and btw as genuine and kind as they come and this place is a must experience! My advice: stop by and meet Daniel for 5 minutes. My guess would be youll have the same opinion after that as I did: How in the world did I live without this place?
