If I could give no stars, I would. Got glasses here in April. They wouldn’t take my insurance and by June the frame came apart. My husband fixed it. 2 months later (today) came apart again. Looking closer, the frame is cheap plastic. $500+ I paid for these and trying to get a refund is near impossible. Should’ve gone to Sears optical in Vancouver I just thought I’d try a place closer. Expensive Mistake.

My mother recently went to this facility altho she states service was excellent. Price was never disclosed to her for the frames only! She paid $700. For just frames! She thought she would probably get some kind of refund after Medicare paid. Wrong! Their only response was you paid for the frames. As you can guess my mom is on Medicare and she is recently a widow on a very limited income. She takes responsibility for not asking but this is redicules paying for frames that are not even name brand. She will not be going back there!

I am brand new to the eye glass world. Everytime Ive come into longview eye and vision, the staff has been over the top helpful. I came in today to ask about a missing nose pad, and left with 2 new pads and a frame adjustment. All in less than 15 minutes! Super happy with the service and professionalism here.

This happened a few years ago. Just now getting around to writing review. I was too upset to write it earlier. My vision was blurry and I was having eye pain in both eyes. I went to see Dr Terrance Tack (at Longview Eye & Vision) about this.I thought I just needed a new prescription for lenses. He examined my eyes and made me a new prescription for lenses. However, my vision was still poor in my right eye and both eyes still hurt. I went back to see him TWICE and told him about it and I said something was wrong. He was very dismissive and told me there was nothing wrong. He should have referred me to an opthamologist for more tests, but he didnt.I ended up going blind in my right eye from untreated glacoma and uveitis. I was not diagnosed until a year after Tack when I went to a Kaiser optomotrist who referred me to an omthamologist for immediate emergency treatment that same day. It was to late to save my right eye, but at least Kaiser saved my left eye (which also had glacoma and uveitis). So now Im blind in right eye. I very nearly went blind in left eye too, but Kaiser was able to save my left eye vision.Dr Terrance Tack should have tested for and detected my severe glacoma and uveitis and referred me to an opthamologist. That might have resulted in timely treatment to save my right eye from glacoma, and to prevent damage to my left eye.

2 months and were still waiting on my sons glasses absolutely no excuse

I have been to Longview Eye & Vision on several occasions. They have always seen me right at my appointment time and I’ve never had to wait. Dr. Terry Tack always takes the time to fully explain what an issue is and how to address it. He is extremely personable and I believe he truly cares about his patients. The staff is friendly and very professional, as well, and I recommend the clinic without reservation.

They got me in very fast. Appointments are kinda pushed out but i was on the call list and got in 3 weeks before my actual appointment. They were very nice there. They answered all my questions, explained the procedures as we were going along, and made me feel very comfortable. Ive never had glasses before so this was a wonderful experience for me. They let me take my time picking out the frames while i kept rejecting so many of them. I wish i remembered the ladys name who helped me with that, but she was wonderful. So sweet to me and never made me feel rushed or bad for not liking the frames. I eventually found the perfect fit for me and Im so excited for them to come in. Thank you Longview Eye & Vision team for making it such a good first experience for me.

They have fixed my bent glasses frames 3 times all walk in never any appointment or charge.I wasnt sure about a color of a frame so they just ordered the frames for me to look at before buying. It was really fast they are great from the eye exam to to picking up the final product.

Very disappointed in this place. They had talked me into getting 2 pairs of glasses (to keep one in my laptop bag and the at work) proceeding to tell me my insurance would cover both pair. I had to pay $86 up front and possibly the other $86 when I picked up, but insurance might cover that as well. That was not the case, I had to pay the $86. Okay not a problem! Now they are sending me bills of over $400 that I have to pay now because my insurance wouldnt cover it. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TRICKS.Oh and I forgot to mention who I spoke with refers to the Cowlitz Tribal contract health clients their people.

They work well with kids. They are all very friendly. Their timing to get you your new glasses is fairly quick compared to other places. Not having to make an appointment to pick up your new glasses or to have them repaired if repairable in office is nice.

Unfortunately I had a very horrible experience with this location.I had an appointment in March, the location shut down due to Covid (as many businesses did) however they did not make an attempt to call me and inform me the appointment was scheduled. I showed up for my appointment to discover they were not even open. I left an upset message and a supervisor called me back. They said I will get a call right when they open before it gets busy.Next thing I knew a friend had been seen and got new glasses the beginning of May from the same place and they hadnt even contacted me yet. I called them to schedule. Today I called to see if we could reschedule by chance due to my job and the lady who answered was not very nice. When I asked to talk to a supervisor she was even more rude and was not willing to help me until July. I feel my experiences with them were NOT professional or polite like it should have been

My husband and I took our 3 year old here for his first eye exam. Jeff worked so well with him and talked us through everything, heard our concerns and answered all of our questions. For going through the process of getting a 3 year old glasses, we couldnt have asked for a better experience!

Longview Eye and Vision is my familys go to location for all eye care needs. Friendly and professional staff who strive to exceed expectations. Dr. Poe is amazing with young children, and my kids love getting their yearly eye exams.

Friendly staff, comfortable waiting area and state of the art equipment for eye exams. I wanted to switch to contacts and as Dr Tack fully explained what that would be like, I decided to stay with glasses. My unique situation is that I am both near sighted and far sighted with an astigmatism in both eyes!

They have always been very helpful kind courteous. Dr. Tack has a very professional team working for him.

Love them they made my daughter feel very comfortable with her eye doctor experience. Our insurance didnt cover eye glasses for adults with them and they were kind enough to give us the prescription so we could get affordable glasses elsewhere. Very kind staff and clean environment.

I have, for many years, trusted Dr.Terry Tack and Dr. Kristi Poe with their vigilant care of my vision. They are very personable and enjoyable when discussing my eye sight.

I really wish I could give this place a good review. The doctor was kind and knowledgeable, the place is clean and has a nice selection of eye ware, but the staff is awful. I have never experienced more eye rolls and smug faces in a doctors office ever in my life. My last visit I simply asked if they knew when my contacts would be in and the answer I was given was “I don’t know, I don’t order them.” Even though I told them I was out of daily contacts and my glasses were broken, they offered me nothing. No contacts to get me through, they wouldn’t put a screw in my glasses so that I had another option, and she couldn’t just ask someone else when they’d be in. I have spent nearly $1000 here in the last few weeks and have been treated like garbage. If It was one staff member, that would be one thing. I understand that people are only human, but I have been in there 3 separate times in the last month and dealt with a handful of people, and all but one have just been awful. Definitely taking my business elsewhere for future eye care. I don’t like to write bad reviews, but I could not let this slide.

Warm and friendly staff. I have been taking my son here for 3 years now and I love it. They have always treated us very well. I would recommend anyone who has kids to go here.

Had a great visit and people seemed nice...until today. Order glasses and got the quote and paid to have them done...to find out that when I called to see what the status was...I still had to pay more. Apparantly they quote me the wrong amount...I paid that day. I was quoted a price for the material that my lenses needed that was I guess it about to be used for my lenses. So instead of calling me right away with the mistske... the ordered the other material and then told me I have to pay more money to pick them up. I dont think this is right.

These people are a joke. They can’t be honest up front about anything and they are a money hungry drs office that has no care and are just rude individuals all together. They are unorganized and not sure of what they are doing. I would seriously consider taking your eye vision issues to another dr or at least get a second opinion.

I am excited to get my glasses. Dr Tack found that my close up lense was over corrected. Probably why i was always taking off my glasses for and reading and computer work. I hope they work well. DiAnn Strozyk

I have been going to Dr. Tack Sr. at Longview Eye for a few years. I have an autoimmune condition called Sjogrens and as a result have uncommonly dry eyes. Many years ago when I was Dx’d I was referred to a specialist at an Eyecare clinic in Vancouver. I left that clinic feeling like it wasn’t a big deal. Just use otc eyedrops. Years later and before I saw Dr Tack, I had begun to have episodes of achy squinty eyes where everything was blurry. I was having a terrible time. After work one day I stopped by the store for groceries, my eyes were uncomfortable and I was having difficulties reading labels. It slowed me down. What was worse when I got out to my car I realized I could not see well enough to even drive out of the busy parking lot with pedestrians and children. So I sat there with my frozen foods thawing in the backseat while it hit home with me that I needed help. First I called for someone to come to town to drive me home. An appointment with my PCP lead to a referral to Longview Eye & Vision. Wow! Such a difference it has made, my vision has recovered much under that gentle care. I still go in a couple times a year. To keep “an eye” on things. I wish I’d not let it get as bad as I did. What would my world be like without my vision? Don’t wait to find out.

Update 2 ..so I did find a place to go..but they needed LEV to stop the authorization of my insurance so they could run it.. I call LEV and the girl that answered the phone sounded like I was putting her out. I think Im gonna take my whole clan to the new place.. I really tried with this place...I should have left them alone from the git goNew update* so this mirmorn I totally spaced and forgot about my appt...which upsets me because I waited a month and a half for this appointment. So they call me right...15 mins after my appointment..can I come in now? Nope know when the next appointment is available MAY 17TH...so Im like wow thats another month and a half..how in the world are you that far scheduled out?? Says you have 3 drs...where are they??? Anyway so I say look thats just too long Im going to find someone else..to which I was told well call us and let us know if you find someone else...um what? I didnt school with you so whyyyyyy would I call you back? I digress...I did find an appointment somewhere else...for today actually oh yeah and if I hadnt taken today it would have been Tuesday...and they only have one dr🤷‍♀️ sad for you all really.UPDATE** So I spoke with a very nice lady today that was able to explain to me what happened with my glasses. So when they came in there was a problem with one of the lenses so they had to be sent back. Im an very pleased that this was the case. It was just a small communication error. I do enjoy going here and my family and I will continue to go here. The eye exams are fantastic and thorough. So Im retracting my previous review. Thanks for your hard work, and your concern for your customers.Changed From 1 star to 5

Worst rip-off place Ive ever been to in my life. Quoted me $65 then got billed for $90 Then a couple weeks later another bill for $178 saying my insurance had a spend down. Ive never paid $268 for an EYE EXAM even with no insurance. Oh yeah and also they charge an extra $10 for a PD read (necessary to get glasses) and the Dr doesnt even do it the Sales Clerk does... Avoid this place on principle if you dont believe in price gauging.
