I have yet to run into a Whole Foods that I did not like or had any misgivings about. It is always an adventure for me to idly meander through the aisles and become interested in something that I never thought I would want. Its always a joy to sample different cuisine or snacks from far flung places. The prices are very agreeable, not what I expected.
Excellent customer service that help me to find the item very fast. The store us nice and clean. Very convenient parking in the garage under the building.
Beautiful and seductive store! Hard to leave with less 3 bags of groceries!
This location has a great selection. The bakery here is well stocked and it seems to be the right size.
Very very very nice staff and atmosphere. They make you feel comfortable.
I come here a lot. Its very convenient. Self check out lines are usually very empty. Nice selection. I like to buy their organic chickens
Healthy-oriented, efficient, compact grocery store. Offers ready made dishes, food buffet, smoothie/coffee, juice station. Easy to navigate store with plenty of clerks, sometimes more clerks than customers. Knowledgeable butchers in the meat department and fishmongers. Fresh produce and a bakery department. Has a neighborhood feel. Buy their 365 brand for competitive pricing. Some things are very expensive, but some items are fair priced. They have special deal every Friday, seating for eating. Parking takes a bit of maneuvering. Now owned by Amazon so sign up for Amazon Prime in order to take advantage of discounted deals with the Amazon Prime barcode.
Strangely empty and pizza was a short wait. It seems every gets their shopping to go and the have a nice system for that. Meat shop busy and looks great!
I loved this Whole Foods in Los Altos. Usually when we go on vacation we make at least one visit to the local Whole Foods for a well needed home-cooked meal after being on vacation for a week or so. Best food bar out of any of the Whole Foods I have been to in Beverly Hills, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, or Orlando. Everything was fresh and light. We had chow mien, rice with vegetables, veggie spring rolls, pulled chicken, pulled pork, wings, steamed mixed veggies (California blend- broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower). We also had corn bread instead of dessert because usually it is sweet but I think because we were on the west coast that it was not as sweet but we didnt mind because it was still delicious.
This is a pretty good market and almost as good as the Pacific Heights Whole Foods.
Great shop for wholesome food. Great selection of organic products
Store to get variety of organic and non GMO foods. They have self checkout for quick shopping.
Go directly to the garage to park as the front parking space is often full and you’d need to exit to El Camino to get back.Great cheese section. A little bit limited in the cake/bakery section.
A usual Wholefoods.....unfortunately the take our food selection has been significantly reduced due to the pandemic and I wish they were not creative offering alternatives to their customers. But they mostly close down take out food.... The mexican style place was horrible looking and not staffed.
A bit expensive, but the customer service is very good. and OMG! the verities ...there are always good deals and discounts ...
Love that store, convenient parking below store.
Well stocked Whole Foods store. Ample parking available underground.
Its a clean and large market with a wide variety of products and very service-oriented employees.I find the organization of the shop a bit confusing but this is maybe because I am from Germany and need to adapt more :).
Large store full of wonderful quality foods!
Great grocery store and has everything you could need. I love shopping at whole foods.
I really dont remember but my friend said it was fabulous! Like an orgasm for the pallette!
Whole Foods is an amazing visit everytime :)Amazing selections and a very courteous staff
Expensive but most people know about that coming in here. Good, healthy food for the high income zip code its in. Underground parking for hot days. Very helpful staff. Lockers for Amazon. Return tour Amazon purchases here.
This Whole Foods is HUGE, bigger than most stores Ive visited, so found everything I was looking for.
Not up to its usual standards: shelves empty, ice cream freezer cleared out, baked goods on clear out. Odd.
The closest whole foods to our home. Its fine, no complaints. But if I am willing to drive farther I like the Cupertino location a bit more, since it has a larger selection including some great indian food options.
Got a tuna melt here at the sandwich station. Old guy very happily made my sandwich. Asked me what cheese I want and I said sharp cheddar. He went into this whole story about how he remembers just after world war 2 and how sharp cheddar was so hard to come by. Sweet old man, sandwich was great. Also got hot foods: barbacoa, sesame tofu, string beans, Spanish rice. They have so much here. Like 4 types of rice I could see right off the bat.
With Covid capacity restrictions it takes a few minutes to get in, but the shopping experience is a lot more pleasant... And hopefully healthy. Follow the rules and be nice to the employees... Its for our own good.
Great store but it looks like Amazon is driving prices back up again after a lull to attract customers
Everything was perfect... So good.
Love those prime discounts!
Great quality and reasonable prices. parking can be problematic at this location.
Very clean pleasant environment for a neighborhood market. The deli, bakery and wine department had a good selections. The staff was very personable and helpful.. I ran in last minute for a cake and other things and the staff was very helpful..they were very knowledgeable of their products.
Super crowded and full of literally running instacart/etc. workers who have almost crashed into me several times and will reach in front of me for things while I am reaching for them. I know theyre on a deadline; however, this store has become mostly a stop for super rushed grocery delivery workers. Social distancing is often not followed.
The cashier was so rude and disrespectful. This was today at Whole foods in Los Altos, California
COVID-safe (well, as much as possible). Very busy due to large numbers of Amazon folks packing home delivery orders. Great selection, fresh meats & seafood, still a good selection of (now prepackaged) deli and quick dinner/lunch items.
Nice place. Love the inside so clean
The best place for groceries
Excellent quality of goods.
So booshzy! 🤗 love this store
Been shopping here for years.Quality of the produce is always at its best.Although amazon is doing their best in reducing the prices, the prices are still high. This has become more likeWhole foods -- We want your whole paycheque.
Whole foods should change their slogan toWhole foods -- We want your whole paycheck..!!Everything(from various brands) is available at one place but that comes with a hefty price. The prices are so high that I can get the same organic food items from trader joes and costco for half the price(costco even less). So I shop here only for the groceries that are not available in trader joes or costco.
A big supermarket and they provide gloves. Very clean and well organized.
I love this store. Their return policy is the greatest. I bought a bottle of Raw One Womens Once Daily, and felt incredibly sick after the first consumption. I was super bummed because I realized that I threw away the receipt AND the bottles packaging. I wanted to test my luck, and sure enough, I was able to return the pills! I showed them my bank statements to prove that I bought them the week prior, and they gave me my money back! I was so relieved. I love this location, and I love Whole Foods!
Trying to pick up my prepaid holiday dinner was nothing but a runaround and a disaster. Took a half hour before getting it all assembled after the customer service sent me to the wrong counter and the prepared foods counter had nobody to help me and so forth.
Great selection, and service. Never had a bad experience with either the product or the staff from the fresh meat/seafood department. The napa cabbage is a pretty popular item though and goes fast, so its best to come on restock day if youre looking to buy one.
As always great store, but I stop by there on my delivery route in a van and vans do not fit into the under the building parking and there is never open parking upstairs so I just park however I want got no time to fool around in and out and on my way
A fine all-round high end very large grocery market place carrying a multitude selections of food, drinks, snacks, fresh produce, frozen foods, prepared foods and desserts for take home. Home care, personal care, and baby care products. Safer products without all the toxins youll find in commercial cleaning supplies. Dental, hair, and make-up supplies. Supplements of all types, natural health care products. Fresh seafood and meat choice counters. Hot buffet style dishes and soups (before covid interfered.) Pizza counter. Sandwich and burrito counter. Self-fill filtered water station. Excellent dairy and non-dairy choice selections. Gluten - free selections of food, along with the usual choices. Lots of fresh bread and quality commercial bread choices. Organic choices in food along with non-organic. Prices run on the expensive side, although some discounts are given if you are a special member of Amazon. Parking is plentiful. There is handicap and electric car recharge designated parking. Bathrooms are usually well-equipped and handicap accessible. Staff is trained to be very helpful, and to keep the store tidy and clean. There are food store shoppers and delivery service available here. I believe that Amazon ordered items can be picked up from lockers here (?) There had been a casual dining area both indoors and outdoors before covid rules destroyed that. At this point of time, they could and should reinstate the outdoor dining areas, but have chosen not to instead. 🙁 Management please look into that. You have customers that are traveling far by car, bus, hike, and bike that are hungry and would like to eat on spot.
Gold standard in grocery shopping. Whenever I have had any issues or if the cashier makes any mistake, I have gotten the items for free. You do pay for the premium though. My goto place for getting quality fruits. It definitely beats the quality in all other grocery stores. They also have deals on pizzas on Fridays which I found to be pretty amazing. They also have water here and one of the few places where sanitization of counters and other common items was kept to standards.
Messed up my pizza order but made up for it by making up a complementary box of premade slices. Thsnks! They really need to put in a better way of handling Friday special pizza orders. Employees say itll take 30, 15, or 10 minutes, then write your name on a scratch paper to come back in 35 minutes, then leave their shift without telling the next set of employees who then sell your pizza to someone else making you wait all over again.
Hours on Google Maps do not accurately reflect store hours. For example on 11/24 the store closed at 10pm (I was there when it closed), but Google Maps reported 11pm as the closing time on that day. No special note was made indicating the possibility of the hours changing due to holidays, or anything of that sort.
Good store with a lot of different products -- including grab and go food.
Great food selection. Great prepared foods. Great butcher shop and seafood. Excellent bakery department. Wide selection of beer and wine and liquor. Great cheese department. The produce is always fresh. Use your Amazon prime account and save additional from the sale items. Actually the prices have become a lot more competitive and is becoming one of my favorite places to go grocery shopping now.
This whole foods regularly runs out of the basic fruits and veggies. Lately the quality is much worse as well. They often try selling over ripe strawberries and blueberries, cant seem to stock lettuce, and the steaks have been really weak. Before blaming covid keep in mind Costco and Safeway have been doing fine. All that said the store still has great foods and service.
1st time I didnt cook for Thanksgiving in 46 years. We got the Whole Foods turkey thsnksgiving meal for 4 (because they didnt have one for just 2 people. The food was GREAT - a small roast turkey, hearbed stuffing, mashed potatoes, shallot green beans, turkey gravy, and orange-cranberry sauce relish. And easily sufficient for at least 8 people, so we have serious lefyovers.....
Very expensive food they are they just opened up their steam tables and theyve gone up quite a bit and their cost of food is very expensive to eat there When I can cook at her home for cheaper
Below are some important details for visitorsThis surely is one of the larger Whole Foods chains and has 2 levels of parking plus a limited outdoor parking space. Its important to note that its mighty crowded to visit here on Sundays but not as much crowded on Saturday evenings. [Ive typically seen this place to run out of Lactose Free milk and fruits by Saturday evenings :-)]You might find the fruits and vegetables [especially the organic ones] to be priced a bit higher than the other outlets but then again thats always been the case with Whole Foods.None the less, the service has been top notch fantastic, the staff has always been kind and helpful and self-checkout tends to save a lot of time [plus always perks for a prime member]Useful 13 Funny 8 Cool 12Share
This is my favorite grocery store in the area, but I had an awful experience today due to the poor implementation of the new COVID restrictions from the county. The line to wait to enter the store forces people to either pass extremely close by each other (not 6 ft) or to walk through the front parking lot where the drivers dont pay any attention to the pedestrians. Im extremely disappointed in Whole Foods for the way they werent guiding customers and the chaos and increased exposure risk they were putting people in. I wont be shopping here until the current restrictions change.
Love While Foods. Quality products even those hard to find. Wide array of cheese and wine.
We shop regularly at whole foods. They have good collection for everything (in terms of quality as well) and there arent many alternatives to them.I dont like a couple of things:1. Whole foods doesnt carry much of locally grown produce, which is sad. Much of the stuff comes from outside the country.2. They always overcharge you for food produce you pick (weve *always* been charged for organic stuff even if we pick conventional!). It has never been the other way round! We always have to double check the receipt. Today when the person billing charged for organic bell peppers and I corrected saying I picked it from conventional section she showed me the Whole Trade sticker and said thats for organic stuff. She immediately asked if I still wanted it - well of course I did. Later I checked in the food section and everything had the Whole Trade sticker - including the conventional ones! They need to train their employees better. Unfortunately you cannot go back in for every dollar but it sucks to overpay on things you didnt pick.
The person bagging my groceries put the eggs on the bottom with canned goods and 2 pounds of grapes on top. Eggs werent broken but still not a proper way to bag. I also touched the handles of an empty bag he had prepared for the next customer thinking it was mine. I asked if I should take it since Id touched it (the whole covid thing and all) but he said no and started bagging the next customers food. Again, not professional or safe at all during these times. Other than that visit was fine.
I work for this place for 3 years I was an assistant manager in the meat department in my three years of employment I observed a lot of cross-contamination with Organic Goods and even at times I caught employs selling non-organic items as organic items to me this is stealing from the customer this is lying to the customer management has been made aware of this and all they do is terminate people that make them aware of every situation in my opinion do your research and find a better place to buy organic Goods.... Im not aware of the other Whole practices but who would want to take that kind of risk but I am 100% aware of Los Altos Whole Foods practices and theyre not good by any means.
This is my first review ever. Normally, I don’t complain about the quality of the service at a place I visit, but I met the rudest cashier ever during my most recent visit to the Whole Foods store in Los Altos. Her name is Shiva, and the fact that she is a supervisor as well says a lot. Not only did she not greet me, she charged me for an item that I didn’t buy. When I politely told her that she overcharged me, she replied that I was being rude and that she was busy. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Of course, Shiva probably has never heard of apologizing and that she needs to treat customers with respect. Then, she started to angrily throw the items that I had bought into my bag. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me, so I had to ask her coworker. Please, remember that her name is Shiva, and if you don’t want to be treated in the worst possible way, avoid the Whole Foods store in Los Altos.
I ordered via wholefoods section in the amazon.com web page. I went for pickup on time, they could not find the order. Moreover they are clueless to search for the order in their system. Actually, they do not take an effort to help their customers.Save for Ana their shopper who finally put an effort to fetch the order, their other support staff are clueless and not willing to help. Went for pickup, waited for more than 1hr in total to get the order. Not going there again.
Food is great. Prices are just okay. Bathrooms are horrid!
Love the guys at the meat counter! So helpful!
Very good staff and neighbors, and the inside is clean and the underground parking is convenient for EV charging.
Good large location, plenty of parking in two level garage (with Tesla and other EV chargers!) Dont get tempted to park in the limited outdoor area...
Great selection, well run and organized. Stress free place to shop
Overly crowded in these COVID times. They need to do better.
Anything that you ordered took so long to pick up and the cashiers just stand there.
Surprisingly bad customer service. Had a simple question about whether they had more types of Gluten Free bread other than the 1 brand I saw. Two associates I asked couldn’t answer that question because that were “front line” people and not “grocery people”. Went to customer service. Again he didn’t “do groceries”. In fact, he didn’t understand what gluten free bread was. I would have been better off at a Walmart.
Its expensive but theyre food is great I personally love the teriyaki rice bowl.
I have been shopping at this branch for a few years and Ive been generally happy with the quality of their food and what they have available. Of course I never wrote a review until something started going wrong. For the third time in a month, Ive noticed that they either have or were about to charge me incorrectly. The way these happened were that I bought a produce item and I was charged for something similar but more expensive than what I actually purchased.People, please check if youre being charged correctly even if youre rich enough not to care about being charged an extra $10 for that salmon steak. Youll be putting pressure on the store management to get their act together and to ensure that they have proper system in place for pricing.UPDATE 2/26/17: This happened again today with two produce items. For one of the items, I brought it up with the cashier before paying and she corrected it. For the other one, I told her Ill go and check again to be sure. After I verified that I had been charged extra, I was sent to customer service. And the customer service refunded the whole price of the item. This is nice, and I ask that everyone double-check the prices to get a full refund on the items they were overcharged. Hoping that eventually the management would fix the pricing issue that hey have.
As usual Amazon Whole Foods Market is a wholesome place to shop on-line or at the location.
Grocery delivery is absolutely terrible. Cancelled on me for late night deliveries twice
Very clean, well organized, fortunately not many people
Rude staff...the girl at the entrance and the guy and girl at customer service does not know S of Service
