Concrete floored single level used book store. Music playing in the background was a bit loud. Felt a bit cramped.It actually makes me sad to see independent book stores get pushed out of the market by Amazon and others. Reading past reviews it seems at one time this store had wood floors & multiple levels with cats freely roaming. This sounds quaint and cozy. The current state of this business no longer matches this description.

Loved this book store. I just moved to the area and was looking for a used bookstore. I saw this was close to me and so glad i went. You can find a nice selection of books at prices almost half the original! I got 4 books. The owner is also very friendly and very helpful. Will definitely go back.

This is the best possible place to end up in after a stroll in Chinatown. I love the shelves that are orderly but not rigidly parallel to each other, and the staff picks are great recs too. One of my favorite bookstores in the city.

All the books at Alias are of the very best condition.

Its like a mini-Powells! People here were really nice and went the extra mile to track down a book I was searching for that was absent from its spot on the shelf. The hidden study room, all the various nooks and crannies and little subsections with their own character and hand written notes and recommendations made me want to hang around for hours. Next time I can, I will.

Went to the city the other day and was just roaming around and found this great book store. They have everything there. I especially loved a lot of the local books. Great place and will definitely make a trip again.

Lived 6+ years in Los Angeles area--Battle hands-down the best bookshop, in terms of variety. Killer discount bins out front, and really cool rare books on top floor (even if just perusing). Def worth a look if youre downtown.

A very cool used bookstore for science fiction nuts. It has a good selection of both new and used books. I came in looking for a book that I had been fantasizing about for some time, and had no problem finding it.

Such a beautiful, local bookstore. With so many floors and options, youre sure to leave with some gems. The young man working was super helpful with assisting us in looking for books. The general atmosphere is just so calming and beautiful. Definitely worth a visit, this place will turn you into a little bookworm.

Love this bookstore. I went for a panel on the State of Indie Music. They regularly have all kinds of readings .... poetry, fiction. Theyre an essential part of a weird, thriving community.

I love this book store! Very well curated selection of fiction. Non fiction is mixed, the books related to dramatic arts are very strong, the traditional non fiction subjects like history or philosophy less so.

Great bookstore feel. The lady behind the counter needed a bit of a polish on her customer service, but the store was great and filled with history. A must see if you are into old school books. Enjoy!!!

I stumbled across this bookstore by accident when I was walking along Glendale blvd. for a friend meet up. Reading is my habit so I loves books. I walked in and looked at all the shelves. They have a wide variety of books. If youre looking for new ones or old, local or worldwide, you should visit this place. This bookstore is very clean, well organized and neatly stocked. I did spend my 30 minutes here that I almost forgot about my friends whos waiting for me. HA! I walked out with 2 books. A world history book and a cook book for my mom. Prices were competitive too.

There is something really Alias Books East about this place. Cats wander around the wooden floor of this split-level while you peruse the stacks.There are three or four levels of Alias Books East depending on how you count it, and youre always guaranteed to find something delightful you never knew existed.

Have an original copy of Alices Adventures in Wonderland... PRE Mandella Effect. Sed they wernt interested. Fair nuff. Mat was courteous and honest and did give me another location to try to assess this items authenticity. Anyone know an authenticator close to Ontario, CA...? Thanx.
