These guys have replaced a clutch for my Honda and rebuilt the transmission in my truck. Straight forward about the work that needs to be done. I recommend them for there honesty, professionalism and quality of work. They also do general maintenance so ask about it.

Ever since I moved to LA from Virginia 4.5 years ago, I’ve been looking for a mechanic who is fully honest. They are a shop that are not only looking out for the best interest of my vehicle but can also empathize with what I can safely repair within my financial means. The Aamco team there embodies all of that. Honesty and integrity sum up this shop.

Had my transmission rebuilt at the Cathedral City location and car developed a leak. Took it in and Paul and Allen were fantastic took care of the leak, double checked to ensure it was properly done. And great overall customer service. Highly recommended

Owner/manager did not want to “touch” my car. Did not let, nor want the mechanic technician to communicate with my spouse about car issues. We also kept calling to get updates but was not given any info. Got charged a good amount only to keep the car there for a few days and was not even given a proper diagnostic. Terrible service. Stay away.

They know what theyre doing and they do it right. This is the place you want your car fixed at. Trust, Good Guy Paul is the man and the whole staff is phenomenal. Love them!

The folks who run the place are incredibly nice. The owner very clearly explained what the issue was and why it was important. They allowed me to communicate through text to save everyones time and they even stayed open a bit late when my Lyft took extra long to get me. I would recommend this place to anyone.

It can be hard to find a car repair place that you trust. I love AAMCO! Ive been a few times and each time Ive received great customer service and one of the things I like the best is that they give you options. They are honest about how your car is doing, what repairs are urgent, and what repairs you should keep an eye out for. Even though Ive moved farther away, I still take my car here any time I need to get something checked out.

Paul is the main guy hes super polite and respectful and tells straight up what the problem is and hes very trustworthy

A very kind and honest business. I brought in my Camry and they got right on my repairs and gave me a great deal for parts and labor. My car has been running smoother than it has for years. The service manager Paul is always helpful and polite. Glad to see such great customer service!

Bad customer service. My boyfriend and I had taken our car here for diagnostics, and were deciding whether to get it repaired or not. Paul was rude and unprofessional. He unfairly tried to charge us storage fees with no warning, saying we could either pay for repairs or pay the fees. It felt like a threat. He also made things weirdly personal and compared us to his 21 year old daughter, because were young. He also condescendingly told us that since we were young we didnt understand how to do business. He also tried to guilt us into paying, saying his boss was angry at him for not making money off us yet. He finally let us go, saying youre not worth it. He then nearly ran us over while moving another car, which seemed intentionally passive-aggressive. Overall: insulting, disrespectful, & unprofessional.

I was experiencing car trouble on Thursday and Friday, so I decided to call them for an appointment on Saturday. I was able to take my car in first thing in the morning, have the issue diagnosed (for free!), and repaired before they closed at noon on Saturday (I was lucky enough that there were no other appointments that day). Even as a new customer, Paul and his team of technicians were very helpful and quick with their service. I will definitely return to them for future work if needed and would highly recommend you visit as well.

This is the most honest auto repair shop Ive found in LA. I drive across town just to come here because I know I can trust what they say about my cars.

Not your typical professional AAMCO. Was going to charge me 99$ just to check my transmission fluid when my regular AAMCO does it for free. Went in at 1 o clock and they said we would have to reschedule a road drive when they close at 5 o clock. Will never go back again

This place somebody recomend me, but that was a terrible mistake. I went to that place and the manager Paul counted me 249 dollars for doing my trassmision service and replace the transmission gasket on my 2015 Ford fusion. The next morning he told me then I need an oil pan because it was twisted wicht is not true because another mechanic in Petboys checked allready and he told me then I need only the gasket and service for my trassmision,,.But Mr Paul at Ammco trassmision wants to install a new oil pan and charged me 730 dollars,.. This people are thiefs...

Paul acted very rudely to me and spoke in a very condescending way. He insinuated that I was a bad person for not getting back to him quickly enough and made assumptions about my character. He also tried to threaten me with bogus storage fees that had never been previously discussed. Once I told him I had consulted a lawyer about whether or not he could legitimately charge me when he had never done any repairs, he backed off immediately and let me take my car elsewhere. Do not trust this business!

The service manager (Paul) is very unprofessional, and not a man of his word. I simply asked for an estimate on a job, he said he would call me back. 24 hrs later, Im still waiting for a return call, I call him, and its nothing but excuses...A simple I cant handle the job would have sufficed. Im only too glad I didnt spend any time and money there. What ever happened to customer service ?... or just a little common courtesy. I was told by the dealer that I need a new transmission at a cost of $4500.00, went to Aamco and after free testing I was told that the transmission is Ok and that I have a electrical issue. WAS TOLD BY PAUL THAT OEM ORIGINAL BEWARE. PARTS WERE USED TOTALLING $800 IN REPAIRS ON MY HONDA CIVIC BUT HAD A MECHANIC CHECK THEM AND THEY WERE NONE OEM ORIGINALS. TOTALLY DISHONEST BUSINESS.

The owner, Alan, is a very dishonest and angry man !! I strongly urge you NOT to give your business to this person.He LIED to me several times....He grossly OVER-CHARGED me....He did veryPOOR QUALITY work.... and on top of it all, he yelled at me, threatened me, and told me to F-OFF !!PLEASE do NOT give this BAD PERSON your business !!!!!

Service manager doesnt want the customer to talk to the technician. Sometimes the customer needs to talk to the technician.
