I was recommended to Electric Ave by a friend a few years back, once I bought a hybrid....and I have never regretted taking his advice! Mike, the manager, has always provided the best customer service experience while Im there, the best mechanics in town, and the best care of my car (you do know they wash the outside and inside of your car after every oil change, right?!). My mind is at ease knowing I have found the best place in town to take my hybrid.

If you drive a hybrid, this is your must go to spot. Transparent, friendly service, feels like a family spot. Mike is always gracious and helpful. They always offer us an Uber somewhere while we wait for the car, and they usually wash it after an oil change as well. We get all our work done there and recently needed to replace a headlight. They did it in five minutes and didn’t charge us at all since we are regulars. They checked the oil too, just to make sure everything was good. I asked them to show me how to do it myself in the future, which they did, but then insisted We come in anyway as they’re happy to do it. Can’t recommend it enough.

Recently took my prius here for a routine oil change and the service was exceptional. They inspected my entire car and detailed the interior/exterior. Brought my recently purchased used Bolt EV here just to get a baseline inspection done. Great service, great prices, free car wash. I take my 2016 Prius there because they specialize in hybrids and electrics. It was stressed to me from others that even getting an oil change from a regular mechanic can lead to serious problems because of how unique these types of cars are. This includes the dealership, because the majority of cars they service are going to be regular combustion engines for the foreseeable future. I like having someone who has a garage full of Prius, and other types of hybrids and electrics, working on my car.

Mike, who runs Electric Ave., for hybrid cars, is truly the best and so pleasant. The service is impeccable, the prices are reasonable, and its so clean you can eat off the garage floor. I know Im well taken care of and trust them. Koko, the owner of all three auto shops, Electric Ave, High Tech Auto, and Sublime, is one of the kindest, smart, and most professional mechanics in LA. He is very generous in giving back to our community in Silver Lake. We have been going to all three of his shops for over ten years and never disappointed.

I called and told them what was wrong with my wifes 2012 Prius and they told me it was probably the Hybrid battery but they also told me it was likely still under warranty (I thought the warranty was expired) and they game a number for the dealership and even gave me the name of person I should speak to. I called and they had me bring it to the dealership. It turned out they were correct and the dealership replaced the battery at no charge. If I had gone somewhere else they might not have been as honest and probably would have paid several thousand to replace it. The saved me lots of money.

This is one of the few places where I wish I could give the vendor more money. Mike is always courteous and timely. My care rarely has any real issues aside from lights on my dashboard popping up - a true characteristic of any BMW (i3). I wish Mike had a sibling with the same work and business ethic that worked on combustion engines.

Great experience. 1st time customer, I came because the air stopped flowing in my car. Mike took care of me the same day, for a very reasonable price (lower than either of us expected). He took care of a Lyft dropping me off and picking me up, was attentive, warm, honest, the car was washed, and we joked about the origins of both our family names. Electric Ave. is the best electric/hybrid auto shop in Silver Lake! Harry and Mike go out of their way to make sure that all work is done in a very timely and professional matter each and every time you visit. Since my warranty with Toyota expired on my 2015 Prius, I have only had it serviced at Electric Ave. and I am 100% extremely satisfied with all the work and service that they have performed. This includes replacing all 4 tires, wheel alignment, oil change, flushing and replacing the coolant, replacing the cabin filters and cleaning the area that cools the interior.These guys are pros and they are straight shooters. Do not hesitate to bring your electric/hybrid vehicle here for service. I am very happy that I chose to.

This place is a wonder. I saved more money here than I spent. The dealership wanted to charge me $300 more than I paid for my 100,000 mile service for my Toyota Prius C. Mike even indulged me when I asked him to do the exact same inspection as the dealership and to write it out in my service notes the same way, Im being a stickler while still under warranty. He did keep my car all day, but ordered an Uber to send me to my office. Plus they washed the inside of my car just as well as my favorite car wash and my dealership NEVER did that (they would even forget my exterior carwash sometimes). He even gave me reuseable grocery bags and bc I think its such a exemplary business, I actually use them.

Electric Ave is amazing and Im so happy Ive found this place! Mike is an incredibly kind and patient person and everyone there does great work on my car. Yesterday, I dropped my car off before an event I needed to attend and I was going to order an Uber to get me there, but Mike ordered it for me instead, which was thoughtful and above and beyond what he had to do. In addition to repairing my car yesterday, he also took it in for a wash, which was again above and beyond what I expected from him. The last time I took my car in, Mike informed me that my front brakes were wearing out and needed to be changed and I explained that I was going through some financial trouble that month as it was the holidays and it always gets more difficult that time of year, but instead of pressuring me into replacing my front brakes, Mike explained that they had a little bit of life still in them and I would definitely need to get them fixed the next time my car needed maintenance. I appreciated his honesty and understanding and I find Mike to be trustworthy. Their prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend this location because Ive been to many mechanics and these guys are without a doubt the best ones Ive worked with so far.

After having some bad experiences at Toyota of Hollywood, I found Electric Avenue. All the good reviews drew me. When my headlights stopped working, I called them, and Mike told me to bring my car in, and if the bulbs were out, he would replace them for FREE! So I brought my car in, and even though the shop was super busy, I left within 5 minutes with working headlights having paid NOTHING! He also checked my oil level to make sure it was good.This shop puts customers first, not money. If you ever need hybrid/electric car service, come to Electric Avenue. Mike is so courteous and kind, and the price is right. I will be returning!

Mike was very patient with me and saved me money on the repairs after he went out of his way to find out that I had an extended warranty for the part that needed replacing. If you have a Prius or hybrid / electric car - dont bother searching anywhere else.

Love these guys, so friendly and smart! My grandson dropped my Prius key into the dogs water. Just like that it quit responding. I dried it and tried to get it back together but no good. They put a new battery in my key fob, put it back together nicely and it worked, glory be!!! Also, no charge! Today I’m going back to replace my ruined tire, hope it goes as smoothly!!!

Phenomenal Experience! My fiancées 2006 Priuss Hybrid Cell Battery died and Mike refurbished it WITHIN 8 hours. He beat Toyotas cost by 50%, and tripled the length of Toyotas warranty! Not to mention, Mike is probably one of the kindest mechanics Ive ever met. Truly an honest and trustworthy individual. He even washed the car before returning it! Electric Avenue is probably the only mechanic shop in Los Angeles Im going to from this point forward! The place is so well kept, that it doesnt even look like a mechanic shop.

If youre looking for a mechanic you can trust, who wont try to upsell you when all you wanted was an oil change, this is the place. My 17 year old Prius needed a new hybrid battery and they replaced it within 2 business days at a far more reasonable price than a dealer.

I have taken both of my Gen 2 Prius to Mike at Electric Ave. with very different issues and he has been able to diagnose and fix the issues in little to no time.Most recently, on my 2nd Prius which I bought in May 2019, I was having misfire issues and the misfires didnt go away after I changed the spark plugs and tested the coils. I decided to call Mike at Electric Ave and he was able to quickly set me up with a date to troubleshoot. Soon after he called me and explained the issue I had and quoted me a price. Having just bought the car I wasnt ready to throw money at it and I had just paid my monthly expenses but Mike was very understanding and didnt pressure me or charge for the diagnostics.Luckily I was able to allocate money and Mike fixed it the next day. The car has been running good since then. Believe me just like me you can trust Mike with your hybrid car needs.Thanks Mike.

Took my 2007 Prius to Electric Ave after my regular neighborhood mechanic did a terrible tune up job. Electric Ave went through my Prius with proper tune up, installed correct Sparks plugs & coil, replaced fuel injector, replaced all the struts..... My car came back to me purring like a kitten... Mike and his team are top notch. I had three separate check engine lights come on in my 2004 Prius. I took it into Autozone to get their free check which came back empty (warning to any hybrid owners.) I called 8 different mechanics. Electric Ave was the only one to offer a free diagnosis, the best price on the worst case scenario (dead hybrid battery), and they could see me immediately. After running tests, turns out it was a dead battery. Mike and his team rented me a car for the next 3 days so I could easily get to work, but ended up finishing up the repair the next day! Free oil change and car wash to go along with it. Thanks so much for the help guys.

If you have a Prius or other hybrid or electric vehicle, dont go anywhere else. They know their ish, and diagnosed the problem I had been having with my Prius immediately (while other garages and even the dealership had no idea what was going on). Got my A/C fixed and they did a great job.

Ive known Koko for years and trust him completely (enough to have had him work on my beloved 66 Sunbeam Tiger) . His son Harry at Electric Ave. was happy to confirm my diagnosis of a dead 12v battery (the small one in the rear of a Prius) in my wifes Prius III and sell me an excellent replacement.
