Unfortunately if you have nut allergies you can’t enjoy any of these treats. I received a beautiful box of cookies as a birthday gift. Yes I did read the menu that was in the box and was happy to see I received all non nut having cookies! After taking a single bite of a cookie that wasn’t physically labeled to have nuts I spent the night in hospital. Was offered a refund but am leaving review to save other nut allergic friends. It was explained to me that all cookies have cross contamination with nuts so don’t chance it!
The walnut choc chip was delightful. It was deep in the centre. The cold brew was also fantastic. Nice staff! Pls don’t steal their tent!
Buyer Beware - Insanely TastyLiterally the best cookies Ive had in my life. Also an excellent price for a great cookie ($3)... Except these cookies were insane. A fantastic price. These cookies looked like they were from a commercial and tasted...precious?
Love these cookies, walked 3 miles round trip just to try! Rocky Road was my favorite, banana split also unique.
Quaint cookie and ice cream shop with very friendly staff. Came here after dinner on a Friday night with a friend, and we were glad to have done so. You order and pay at the counter before grabbing a seat. There’s various flavors of cookies and although they all looked appealing, we went with a classic chocolate chip cookie. It was dense and generous with the chocolate chips. It was on the chewier side and my friend ordered some milk to go alongside it. We also got a scoop of the Cookie Monster ice cream on the side which the cashier let me sample beforehand. It had cookie dough and Oreos mixed into blue ice cream and I thought it wasn’t too sweet. They have ice cream sandwiches available as well that you can customize. The girl working was very friendly and smiley. The other worker also proactively filled the water dispenser (located next to the hallway where the bathroom is) after hearing me say that it was out of water. They play old-timey music and it’s a cozy atmosphere with cute decor. Overall a comfy place to hang and eat some cookies!
Obsessssssed with their cookies. Living walking distance is dangerous!! 😅 I’ve also had them shipped as bday treats and they still taste fresh baked once warmed up. Go get one - you deserve it 🍪
Paid $16 for delivery which itself is beyond absurd. Then they give you an insane range for the delivery and cannot tell you any specific information when it will arrive because somehow they do not track their trucks despite the price of delivery. An unhelpful customer service and a waste of money. Buy from literally anyone else.
Yummy chocolate chip cookies...crispy outside and gooey inside! Staff was very friendly and helpful. My friend and I went in really quick and I grabbed a white chocolate raspberry cookie and my friend got a hot coca to go. This is one of the best cookies I have tried in my life and I would definitely be coming back to dine in. The place is so cute and the staff is so friendly it makes you feel welcomed.
Such a cute little spot! They have cookies, ice cream, and coffee available which is the perfect combination for a dessert run. They have a nice selection of cookies that all look delicious. We tried the rocky road and the toffee cookies and they were divine! So soft and yummy. If you order for there, they serve you on cute plates which was a lot of fun.
I got the cookies delivered to my house to surprise my wife for her birthday. She loved them and so did I. Delicious cookies. Every type was 5/5 (chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, oatmeal chocolate chip, sugar). They taste really good on the second and third day, too, if you care for them according to the instructions. The cookies are large (thick) and quite moist. No dry Chips Ahoy here.Peanut butter chocolate: 4/5cookies and cream and cookie dough ice cream: 3/5cookies in photo: chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin
Immaculate Heart High School did a Milk Jar fundraiser. The cookies were wonderful!!!!! I am so sad that I didnt know how good they were before the fundraiser, I would have brought more. But, Ive gone on line and Im going to do a drive by and pick up some more. Im not giving up cookies for Lent THIS year! Thank you Milk Jar!
Great cookies! I couldnt get enough of them. I would go back to LA just for the sugar cookies. But their coffee leaves something to be desired. I got both the regular coffee and their chocolate coffee but they tasted exactly the same. But hey, youre here for the cookies and they will not disappoint.
They serve different flavors of cookies for $3 each. You can also pair the cookies with Fosselman Ice Cream.~Cookies~The freshly baked cookies are so delicious; its warm and soft! I dont recall all the cookies I got on my first visit but they were good enough for me to return. On my second visit, I got Rocky Road, Caramel Chocolate Pecan, and White Chocolate Macadamia. My least favorite was the Rocky Road. The cookies were all soft and had a freshly baked flavor.~Customer Service~Friendly and nice.~Notes~-Indoor Seating-Street Parking / Parking lot in the back
DELICIOUS, it’s the most perfect cookie I’ve ever had. I got the classic chocolate chip, it was super gooey with lots of chocolate, with a slight crunch on the outside. They have quite a few to choose from, and they also sell ice cream, bottles drinks including milk and iced coffee. Parking is tricky, but some can be found on the side street.
These cookies are insane. I went there because they were recently ranked as the best cookie shop in California and they rightly deserve that title The cookies are thick in the middle and hearty, well worth the $20 for a box of 6. Ive only had the white chocolate macadamia and the vegan chocolate chip and Im hooked. Theyre individually wrapped and still taste freshly baked. Customer service was great and they even tied the box with a ribbon, giving them a classy look. I didnt see a parking lot, so prepare to park at a meter. Its a small shop in the middle of other shops.
I fell in love instantly! I had a meeting at 7pm so I was looking for a place to pass some time when I found Milk Jar Cookies. I absolutely love cookies, so I figured I’d give it a try (and I’m so glad I did!) I ordered the Rocky Road cookie, and the server even warmed it up for me. My boyfriend got the Cookie Monster Ice Cream, which was also delicious, but it didn’t top the Rocky Road cookie! And of course we shared a glass of milk. I can’t wait to go back! The whole environment was warm and inviting, including the playlist
Wonderful! I wasnt aware when ordering that they used UPS to ship and I panicked because I had put my P.O. box as my shipping address. I emailed the *incredible* Milk Jar family to ask if they knew how I could fix this and they emailed back within minutes, explaining that they had shipped using USPS since I had given them my P.O. box. I got the package a little later than expected (I work weekends and the post office was closed when I went after work on Saturday), and although I got into my goodie box a few days later than anticipated, Im still incredibly impressed. The packaging is so cute, and the cookies are still soft. From the customer service, to the packaging, to the actual product, Im beyond happy with my purchase. If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would. Thank you, Milk Jar!!! 😀
The cookies werent like I remembered. Because of the code that they seem to be pre-made and I wasnt down for that.
Cute cookie shop with a good variety of options, including gluten free! We got chocolate chip and birthday cookie. Birthday was a sugar cookie with rainbow sprinkles and wasnt anything super special. The chocolate hip was so soft and gooey and perfect! I would definitely come back for the chocolate chip, despite the $3 per cookie price tag!
So delicious! Brought my girlfriend here for the first time and she loved the cookies so much. I havent been to many specialty cookie shops and I imagine theyre usually yummy but man, these cookies were the bomb. Im sure well be back lol 👏 Really nice service too
The vegan chocolate chip cookies were amazing! 🍪
Great little cookie shop! The cookies are big and really good, although expensive. $3 per cookie but if you buy 5, the sixth is free. They also sell bottles of chocolate and normal milk, which are equally delicious, as well as ice cream. I recommend caramel pecan, chocolate chip, or white raspberry. For parking, you can sometimes find it in Wilshire, but I’d recommend parking on one of the cross streets, like Cochran, and walking a block.Photo by my friend @linyi.eats
Love the place and the cookies are so good and tasty, Love it so much its very satisfying to eat.
So the cookies are great if you like gooey on the inside and a little crunch on the outside. I enjoyed all four of my cookies: raspberry white chocolate, rocky road aka smores, that banana split is amazing especially if you never had banana in a cookie and the chocolate caramel pecan is delicious. The last two are my favorites because I am partial to pecans and banana splits. My kid loved the cookie monster ice cream. She has had it at other places, but said that was the best along with her sugar cookie. She is Little Miss Sugah Momma.
Wonderful, plentiful homemade and delcious! All melt in your mouth, so hearty you could get 4 satisfying servings from one! Great for gifts.
Although there was no seating indoors or outdoors, the service was excellent. The cookies were very good. Be prepared to pay a premium for these hand made cookies.
Best cookies in LA, hands down
New York style thin crust pizza! My favorite! And their lasagna is sooooo good! More savory than soury, which is just right.
Cool Place. K
My daughters 11th birthday and I was all over the place trying to decide on a sweet treat. At the last minute I thought lets get Milk Jar cookies. I got there at almost 4pm on a Sunday only to find low stock and not much variety left, I started to panic. Sara the store manger was incredible. Nothing like outstanding customer service to save the day!. She was able to get me 5 dozen cookies of exactly what I wanted at the last minute. Im so thankful & grateful! THANK YOU
My review will be broken down by RESTAURANT and GRUB HUB, but together earn 4 stars. I had ordered 4 cookies via Grub hub which were delivered on time, but I only got 3 cookies instead of 4. I called Grub hub and they reached out to the driver and restaurant, and the restaurant was the one that forgot the extra cookie although the driver was supposed to check the order before he delivered it. Grub hub offered to refund the $3 for the cookie and reimburse me for the delivery fee should I reorder a cookie but per Milk Jar Cookies, the minimum order is $10 (which is why I ordered 4 cookies to begin with @ $3/each), so ordering 1 cookie wouldnt work. The driver called me back and offered to bring me the missing cookie which he did. I really appreciated everyones effort (restaurant, driver and GrubHub) in making this error correct. Much better experiences with Grub hub and Eat24 than UberEATS, who is constantly late and never delivers food to my hotel room.Grubhub: 5 starsRestaurant: 4 starsRegarding the cookies themselves, I found them to be undercooked like other reviews mention. And I cant justify $3-5/cookie. The best cookies in my opinion are Double tree Hotel...and they only cost $1-2 for each cookie, fresh and available 24 hours.GRUBHUB
Delicious cookies! Can order for delivery in a cute box online. A great gift, they come individually wrapped. Love the doughy consistency and awesome flavors like chocolate chip, rocky road, dark chocolate and more. Don’t miss Milk Jar for your next party or special occasion!
Cute little cookie shop with some spectacular cookies. Sometimes, they dont have the variety of cookies I typically look for, but that has given me the opportunity to try new flavors and I am never disappointed. The only drawback is that without fail I end up getting a box of more cookies to bring home!
Great cookies! Every one Ive tried is amazing. I keep coming back to treat myself. Ive tried the chocolate Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, and the White Chocolate Macadamia. All were great.
Went with a friend who got cookies. I had some lavender ice cream. We both loved our choices! Friendly staff and a really chill atmosphere. Will be back!
WOW! Find this limited place to be a great casual spot to have a brunch on my day off! Interesting wholesome foods! The rice waffle and the gratifying egg sandwich was something original!Fresh great tasting coffee too!
Made my sons day! After an intense investigation into the best cookies in LA on Yelp I decided to order a few cookies from Milk Jar cookies to surprise my son who lives in Los Angeles. I just want to say I am very impressed with the entire process. Ordering was smooth, and the shipping and communication was amazing. The cookies arrived beautifully packaged and there was a gift tag attached to the cookies as well. I totally forgot about that but whoever processed my order added that small touch and got this very proud mom a big shout out on her sons social media (who doesnt love that lol!) I was told the cookies were delicious and I cannot wait to do business with you again. Thank you to all who were involved in this order, you made someones day a lot brighter and tastier!
Cant go wrong here. The cookies are delicious, the atmosphere is just as sweet. Very friendly staff.
This a great cookie snack bar in Mid Wilshire. The cookies are nice and thick. If you eat one by yourself it can keep you full for the rest of the afternoon. There isnt much seating except a couple of tables so expect to take your cookies to go. The servers are super friendly and will warm up your cookies upon request. My favorite cookie was the Chocolate Chocolate Chip which is pretty much the equivalent of a brownie. Guzzle it down with some milk or have a side of French Vanilla Ice Cream and youre pretty much in cookie heaven.
With the combination of cozy decor, Christmas glitz, classical music, and the best cookies Ive had in my life, I honestly wanted to come back here in my pajamas on Christmas morning to have cookies and open presents. I felt that warm feeling you get when Grandma spoils you. This place is simple and no frills. The cookies are thick and soft without being too gooey or crispy. All ingredients are things you would find in Martha Stewarts cupboard.
BIG yummy cookies. I am talking crispy on the outside and soft, chewy inside. Wifey approved. Half dozen for 18 bucks. Tip: cookies warmed up by request.
Super cute cafe which has a tea party inspired decor. They sell cookies which is pretty much the main draw coming here. The cookies are pretty huge and quite sweet. Ive tried the chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and chocolate peanut butter. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite so far since the peanut butter helps to temper the sweetness. The oatmeal raisin was nothing to write home about and the chocolate chip was very sweet. If Im in the area again, I might pop by but I wouldnt go out of my way to come here.
Every single cookie flavor is amazing. And if you’re really feeling frisky, they make ice cream sandwiches with the cookies of your choice. 10/10
Come for the cookies but stay for the marshmallow ice-cream. First, look at the pictures to see just how cute this place is. From the china on the walls, to the milk bottle chandelier, its just oozing with cute. Then get to the cookies. The variety should mean youll find at least one, and probably more than one, youll like (even if youre gluten free).Top it off with some creative ice-cream (seriously, try the marshmallow!).Congratulations, you have created the perfect dessert!
What a great place. Buzzy atmosphere. Great decor. Super kind waiting staff who could not have been friendlier.
Great cookies and great service!!! The staff was phenomenal and very attentive and the cookies are the best I have ever had in Los Angeles...... Thick soft and great!!! The only drawback is the price💲💲💲 👀👀 but I guess if you want the Mercedes of cookies you gotta pay Mercedes prices for them
I really do love milk jar cookies. They are absolutely delicious! However, my last visit was a bit disappointing. I arrived 1hour and 10 minutes before they closed, and when I got there, I had noticed partchment paper removed from quite a selection of their more popular cookies, one being the cinnamon sugar. I also noticed they were baking cookies in the back, and assumed they were replenishing cookies. After standing in line for 15 minutes, it was my turn to order and I asked if they had any cinnamon sugar. The lady responded they were out, and since they closed soon, they werent baking any more. I understand being out of a product. But if you are still baking cookies in the back and you still had more than hour before you closed, why wouldnt you bake more? Overall, The cookies are delicious, the customer service...it is a hit or miss.
Milk Jar cookies are SO good! Ive been coming here regularly since it opened, and every time I do, Im impressed with both the size and quality of the items. The white chocolate macadamia cookie is one of my favorites, and amazingly good fresh out of the oven. Note though, each cookie is pretty expensive. Well worth it though!
Cookies that taste pretty good, are $3 each, and taste a little better warm. They have a good variety on display, and you can get a cookie sandwich as well. I tried the white chocolate macadamia and it has a good amount of both items, and the cookie itself is not too sweet. There is limited parking behind the store off the alley in a very cramped shared lot.
The shop is amazing and they make the best cookies I’ve ever had. Absolutely worth checking out.
The people who are always happy services is Excellent thank you
The best people work here, and the cookies are outstanding. Just an amazing spot in LA. Go to here!
I initially was excited about my purchase of the infamous milk jar cookies mix( gluten free chocolate chip cookies) it was not what I expected the mix was not yummy at all the mix was to dry ( I followed the directions exactly) Im sorry it didnt turn out as plan in either taste or execution unfortunately being at the shop is definitely different than the store brought mix saddened by that fact. I hope they do a variety if taste test and try again.
Brought me back memories from when i was in elementary. Best cookies. Definitely coming BACK!!!!! My husband wanted cookies so we drove 45miles just so he can have his cookies. So worth it.
This place is amazing! Whenever I have a bad day, I stop in here for a delicious cookie and it seems like a simple day where nothing can go wrong. I probably miss this cookie shop the most since I’ve left the Miracle Mile area! But this place is always worth the trip back!
Ive made cookies like this back in culinary arts in high school that I took for two years. Ive been longing for the same feel texture and flavor ever since and that was back in 2011 so its been 6 years. I finally found the PERFECT cookie! Granted I can just make them but if Im not able then this is the ONLY place that makes cookies like this that Ive found so far. Process could be better but its a great time here. Also the atmosphere is too crowded and small.
Have to try the banana split cookies! They also have ice cream. They rotate the flavors but all have been really good so far!
Love their concept and cookies. I visit when Im in town but last visit, we got there at 730 pm and I understand they close at 8. They had 2 oatmeal cookies left when we got there. Good that they sold out. The girls behind the counter didnt care anddidnt even greet us or the 2 others that came in behind us.
This is my wifes favorite place in L.A.! Everyone that comes over to our apartment has had at least one visit to Milk Jar Cookies, and they all love it. The staff is incredibly nice, and Id say theyre probably the friendliest workers out of any similar establishment in L.A.Of course, you want to know about the cookies! They are the best Ive had in L.A. AND Chicago. Its very much worth making a trip to from anywhere in L.A., and if you live in the neighborhood, youll probably come here frequently after try it the first time.
The cookies are pretty good, but not great. I’ve tried about 5-6 flavors. The chocolate base ones are plain bad, the regular ones are better. I do however love the white chocolate raspberry cookie which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. The texture is kind of boring, these are not the crispy on the outside, soft on the inside variety. There is no brown butter or flavor complexity in these, just your standard toll house type cookie. The more “stuff” they put in it, the better it disguises the lack luster base.
Oh boy this place is delicious. We got the cookie with a scoop of ice cream. Chocolate chip walnut cookie with coffee and cookies ice cream. Shabby chic decor is pretty cute. They served us our food in an old china bowl. Totally delicious, perfect to share for two.
Great cookies all around. Thick and soft, with a bunch of flavors that range from traditional to adventurous.
They have a delicious banana split cookie. the place is always clean and it is my daughters favorite cookie/ice-cream stop. really great service
A friend picked me up a batch for my birthday and my goodness! Ill be here at least once a month! Great job guys, keep up the wonderful work and flavors. So many to choose from all made with high quality ingredients. Very very satisfied customer.
Amazing chocolate peanut butter cookies and the chocolate milk while pricey, tastes like the best ice cream!!
Cinnamon Sugar is my favorite. Its just sad that they close so early and not open on Mondays. I try to go whenever i can
I was in the mood for coffee and noticed this place while I was walking down the street. On a whim, I decided to drop in and give it a try. I cant tolerate much wheat and noticed that they made a gluten free lemon cookie. Woo! The cookie was moist and very tasty. I was impressed with the coffee as well. It was strong and flavorful.
The staff was enthusiastic and very helpful. Theres one gluten free cookie type, and lots of chocolate type cookies. However, the ones I tried were soft and with good, seemingly non-processed flavours. They are fairly bulky and I could never finish a whole cookie - makes for perfect sharing!
I tried to come in here right after the lockdown ended and none of the employees had masks on standing over the cookie dough and I commented about it making me uncomfortable and how I left because of it on their instagram and they deleted it :) it’s pretty bare minimum for a place that sells food
Big and filling cookies that have a great taste. Very very good. Their ice cream is top notch too, with only one unique flavor (cookies and coffee) from the usual staples (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry). The place is somewhat small with limited seating, but if you go after 9PM then its not a problem. One thing I really like is that theyre open late until 11PM. Decor and the accompanying music take you back to when youre parents were young and falling on love.
Great place! Ive never been able to actually have a cookie (which apparently are great) but have people living in the area and I give it to them as gifts...and they love it. Also, their service is outstanding!
Awesome little place with great coffee, tea and deserts. Plus amazing chocolate milk. Great first date place, great place to chill with kid, great place to meet up. Can’t go wrong here.
Wonderfully delicious!!! Great customer service. Loved every bit of everything about this place!
Wonderful experience, the girls working there where just delightful. They forgot to put one of the cookies in our box and the cashier ran 2 blocks to catch up with us- so sweet and just above and beyond service❤️ will always recommend for delicious cookies and exceptional service
So happy I tried this place while in L.A. last week. The cookies were the best! Big, soft yet crunchy around the edges. Will definitely be back next LA trip. The Customer Service was okay, not great. The associate smiled as she helped ring me up, but it came across as fake as if she was bothered I was there. But the cookies were just what I was craving so would definitely try this placed again if Im nearby.
I don’t know if it’s because they were shipping to Texas however these cookies are horrible. They are huge however the cookies we received from were hard. I might need to swing up and get a fresh cookie next time I’m Cali to update this review until then don’t have the cookies shipped!!!
The desserts are very aesthetic, good for Instagram!!! The decor is cute as well! It definitely looks better than it tastes (it still tastes pretty good tho!!) staff is very friendly and nice as well!!!
Love this place, expensive but worth it, they have a gluten free snokerdoole cookie that is good. Also I like their Rocky Road cookie and the associates are very helpful and friendly!
Friendliest service ever and their cookies are phenomenal and thicc. Ive been coming here so often now. The only down side is that parking is limited. But trust me, it is worth it!
This place is amazing especially for desserts and especially if you are a cookie lover interesting things to know about milk jar cookies is that it is voted as the best cookies in the state of California when it comes to the entire United States of America milk jar cookies is number 15 out of the top 25 cookie spots in the entire country. Overall if you love cookies then definitely come to milk jar cookies where they have a variety of cookies with different flavors the cookies are going to be expensive but it is worth it especially if it is your first time the the place closes at 11 p.m. but definitely get there earlier if you want to be able to enjoy the variety of flavors they offer my personal favorite is the chocolate chip and the chocolate cookie
My favorite cookies in the WHOLE WORLD and I have had a lot of cookies before ! I go out of my way to come to milk jar cookies. If you are looking for the best cookie in LA, it’s here. Chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie.
I love this place! Huge cookies that are nice and soft and very yummy! Its is a little pricey but you wont notice that once you start eating the cookies. I have not tried them all but I will say you cant go wrong with chocolate chip and mint chocolate but there are a lot of different varieties so go for it!
