Parkside staff = excellent. Slowly transitioning from commuter lifestyle to more endurance training, so I was looking for a shop that focused on information provision as well as quality servicing. If you’re seeking the chance to learn more about fit, adjustments, product design, etc. so you feel more informed on how to select and care for your investment, stop by Parkside. They’ll give you their time. I purchased my bike from a separate store and, although I’d receive some free in-store services, their customer service was very poor. I’d rather pay Parkside for the same services because I’m happier giving my business to a quality shop. Thanks again Parkside!

New to biking and bought an old 60s Schwinn cruiser to bring back to life. Went to Park Place hoping they had a wheel to substitute for the Scwinn wheel that requires a hard to find tire size. Park Place had that tire size in stock, as well as that size tube. Had another small part I didnt expect to find too. Sweet ... Saved me the cost of a new wheel. The staff was friendly and I was in and out in 10 minutes or so.There may another great shop in town but I cant imagine a better one.

Got my bike overhauled at their shop. The front derailleur was not working right when I got it home. I couldnt easily bring the bike back in, so the owner drove to my house and did the repair in my driveway. Super impressed with his willingness to go above and beyond to make it right

I went in with having 0 knowledge of bicycles whatsoever and the staff were super knowledgeable. I just wish you were open more. I am never able to come in because the shop is closed on the days Im off and I work during their exact business hours. I cant imagine Im the only one with this issue. Otherwise a great shop with super knowledgeable staff. -1 star for the hours :(

High quality information from every staff person... Willing to help out whether you buy or not...they work with distributors to find exactly what you need even if they have to order it special...they happily solve any after purchase problem...I went to four shops when I was searching for a specific type. Even when I bought a used street racer, I took it there for tires and a tune up. We came back to buy a new Bianchi for my wife which they ordered specially. This is my only bike shop now.

They have taken great care of my 87 Trek Cirrus Touring bicycle for the past 7 years. Super knowledgeable staff and take great care new high end bikes or classic cruisers. Plus a cool store 👍👍

Great place to have your bike worked on for a fair price . I’ve had a rim trued and a gear shifter replaced on separate occasions and both times they did it within an hour while I walked down bardstown road.

We love Parkside. They owners and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We were here late (right around closing time) on Thunder Saturday and the staffer was more than happy to have us test ride and to answer our questions. We will be back here!

I visited Parkside intending to only shop for bikes. After a test ride, both owner Ben and his mechanic were eager to answer any question I had, while never being pushy. I left the shop to think on the purchase and continue shopping. Unfortunately it was after business hours when I settled on a decision. Ben was gracious enough to open his doors on a Saturday night, saving me four hours driving. His offer on my trade-in was more than fair.When there was a warranty issue after a few hundred miles, I called and scheduled an appointment for a small window of time I could be in the city. The shop was expecting me and completed the repair quickly and competently. Definitely recommend.

Great Shop.Purchased my 11year old son a mountaineer bike.I have been back a couple time for normal wear issues.They fix it immediately while I wait.Service is what you get when using a local bike shop over A big box retailer.I recommend PARK SIDE.

Ive been shopping at Parkside since getting my first 10 speed 8 years ago. The staff are always knowledgeable and helpful and furthermore just awesome guys. The founder Ben is great: whether he is helping me pick out a pair of road shoes or stopping in the park to help with a stubborn flat tire you can always tell he loves cycling and even more so he loves sharing cycling. I highly recommend Parkside for any cycling needs.

My husband and I went to Parkside today, and I dont normally write reviews, but after I left Parkside I was so HAPPY with my experience there! Ben was super friendly and helpful, he is very knowledgeable about the bikes and he has a passion for riding. Ive never been bike shopping before, so I was kind of overwhelmed with the process, but Ben and his team made me feel very comfortable. He went over and beyond in customer service. We left with a super tricked out bike, awesome glasses, helmet, water bottle......the works! Im so excited to ride my new bike and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It is so pretty, I cant believe its mine..... and it makes me want to hit the road and ride forever. Thank you Parkside for igniting a love of riding in me!

Offers several varieties of bikes. Staff was knowledgeable about the bikes. Upon asking what I was looking for in a bike, I was directed towards a couple of bikes that would fit my needs. No high pressure sales. Was offered a chance to test ride the bike after they adjusted the bike to my height.

I purchased a touring bike with the help of Jeff and thanks to the mechanics. I had a great self supported tour from DC to PIT on the C&O & GAP. No mechanical problems what so ever, and with some luck no flats either. These guys will take care of your biking needs.

This is the first review Ive written on here. I was moved to do so by the experience I had at Parkside Bikes in the Highlands. This was by far the best bike shop experience Ive ever had. Friendly, no pressure, super knowledgeable, extremely helpful. I brought my road bike in for servicing and couldnt be happier with the results. They really go above and beyond here.

I was riding from Cherokee park downtown and back. 16 miles into my ride I had a flat downtown on Witherspoon and didnt have a spare. I walked a mile until my ride came to get me. I went straight to Parkside Bikes since they are next to the park and my point of origin. They fixed my flat within 10 minutes and I was back on my way! They were courteous, friendly and had great tunes playing! I highly recommend this shop. Thanks for putting me back on the rode so quickly!

First experience there, and I must say, by far the best experience Ive ever had at a bike shop....ever. The staff is humble and knowledgeable. Previous experiences at other local bike shops have been kind of disappointing. Other places were kind of pretentious, and the entire reason Im at a bicycle shop is because I value professionals who know more than I do, so why be condescending? I Digress...back to PARKSIDE....They tuned up an early 80s Schwinn Super Sport and made the bike ride like new. New tubes tires, bar wrap, pedal straps, and regulating everything else. The cycle technician called me to ask a couple questions on how I wanted the bike set up. The bike was done in three days, and the total was less than expected and quoted. Could not be more satisfied with my experience. Theyve gained a customer for life.

I had an issue with my crank after a tuneup. Even though the issue was unrelated to the components Parkside serviced, they fixed the issue and gave me a new crank for free. Glad to see that these guys stand behind their service!

The experience at Parkside was GREAT!!! I havent rode a bike in 30 years, and for quite some time now been thinking about recreational road biking. With new technology and advancement in bikes there is a great deal to learn, thats where Ben (Parkside Founder) comes in...Ben is extremely knowledgable and was very helpful in leading me to the right choice of bike without the sales pressure and tactics of trying to make a sale.
