Danny did a fantastic job on my honeycomb and bee tattoo on my hand. I also had him do my neck in my great grandmothers handwriting and did a fantastic job duplicating that as well. I will definitely be back for more

Bubbles was rude to me and my MOTHER on her 57th birthday. Asked her to come up with a couple of sketches for my mother to choose from and she only drew out one that was wayy to big and didnt look very professional either. Looked like an elementary student drew it in class. Didnt like the way she spoke to my mom so we left WITHOUT getting a tattoo.

They will take care of you. Hold on lemme say that again: THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU. I got two tattoos done in one day, nothing big just names and dates. Halfway through the second one,I started feeling light headed and pretty much passed out. My artist gave me water, propped my feet up, gave me as much time as I need to recover. It’s a very clean environment, the people are so nice and SO FUNNY and that will be my main shop for whenever I’m in Louisville! ❤️❤️❤️

Does anybody here specialize in calligraphy tattoos, if so, would you be able to text or email me some recent pieces? I’d love to get a forearm piece that goes on both forearms but I don’t exactly know which shoo to go to for great street cursive style calligraphy.

I didn’t get the name of the guy who did my tattoo, but going to him was a huge mistake on my part for not doing my research. I got initials for my best friend who was killed in a car accident and the guy who did it completely blew out the letters and rushed the job. It was very much overpriced for the hideous outcome. This was supposed to be something to remember my friend by and instead I couldn’t stop looking at it, hating how it turned out. I had to have it fixed and thankfully it was small enough to be covered up. I do not recommend that anyone go to this shop without doing very thorough research.

Got an amazing animal totem piece on my arm from Triumph. I was tattooed by Danny who did a fantastic job, and really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. Triumph is a very clean and professional shop, and the artists do great work for a very fair price! I highly recommend this shop if youre looking for a real quality tattoo!

I love coming here to get all my artwork. Smithers is my main artist but Danny does really sick work also. The store is always clean and the guys are super friendly. During my last session when I say for almost over 6 hours, they offered to go across the street and buy me drinks or snacks. They truly care about you and not just your money. Great artwork and super professional. Love love love coming here and always highly reccomend.

Tim did a great job on my orbital and took his time to make sure it was done correctly. It has healed up to be my best piercing yet! The shop renovations make it look super nice inside, and I always love sitting in the window seat looking out on Bardstown Road if there happens to be a wait. 

I was visiting my daughter from South Florida and we decided to get matching tattoos we stumbled upon Triumph Tattoo shop and very happy that we chose there. The shop was super clean, I loved the bright bold color of the shop and the feel of the place. We had Smithers do our work and he was amazing!! Very professional and a super cool guy. Ive been going to Smithers for years, he does absolutely all of my work (Hes done about 20 pieces on me) . They are actual artists and draw up original art with fantastic color. The lines are clean and detail is fantastic. The shop is always clean and the artists are very professional and most of all kind. Most tattoo shops do not treat their customers with respect, thats what originally drew my business here. I dont just love the art they put on me and the great price, but the experience is always a good one and they are always happy to talk and keep you laughing through the pain. Cant wait to go in for my next piece.

Called for an appointment almost a month ago and have yet to receive a call back

They were extremely kind people, but they didnt follow through with an appointment we had set up. I called them to set up an appointment, they asked me to email them more information. I emailed them on January 20th with all the information I could. They responded very quickly, within the same day, asking for a little bit more information. I emailed them back immediately. However after that I didnt hear from them again. Initially I thought to myself, tattoo artists are busy, give them some time to reply.. so I did. I waited until March 3rd (plans were to get tattoos in June, so there was plenty of heads up) to email them again, asking whether or not what I had sent them was enough, and if the date we had set up for appointment would still work. After that email on January 20th I didnt get any response whatsoever so that kinda ruined it for me. If I lived anywhere near Louisville I wouldnt have been that upset, but this was a one time, passing through kind of thing.

Been here often and will for sure be back, Ive recommended it to countless people and will be a constant customer, love the place and the people, Smithers has done my stuff and Ive never been more pleased or satified, highly recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

I got a tattoo here from Smithers, and he did an amazing job. He was extremely accommodating considering I was only available for a specific day and time with a very specific design in mind. The shop was extremely clean in every way, and Smithers showed me the unopened, single-use needle set that was for my tattoo and my tattoo only. We then set a date. The tattoo appointment did not disappoint either. My fiance and I came to Louisville to escape hurricane Irma, he tattoos at Kreppy Tiki in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We had no idea how long we would have to be out of Florida, so he went there to guest spot and do a rather large tattoo on my sister. I cannot express how wonderful Smithers and Toni were not only to us but in general. The shop is very clean and beautiful and in an amazing location. All of the artists were professional and did great work. I would recommend Triumph Tattoo to anyone in the greater Louisville area. I hope we can come back soon and revisit!

Horrible tattoo shop! the tattoo i got was 400 dollars they would not touch any part of the tattoo up or refund any part of my money... also this led into an argument and being cussed out by josh one of the employees which does horrible work! now Im in a lengthy process to have it fixed and reporting it to the better business bureau and have contacted a lawyer...strongly recommend you to choose another shop

Amazing experience. I made an appointment with Smithers on recommendation from a friend. I had fun and got the exact tattoo I wanted. Working with Smithers was great and he did an awesome job of letting me take a break if I asked. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable the whole time. (as comfortable as one can be getting a tattoo) I will return and work with Smithers if and when I decide to get another tattoo.Update: Ive had 2 jobs done by Smithers and I have greatly enjoyed it both times. He has earned a loyal customer for life. His shop is great and the other artists have awesome portfolios. These guys are well worth the investment.

Stopped in on a Saturday night for a simple tattoo service was knowledgeable and friendly. I was in and out in under an hour! Will be returning soon.
