Stopped by on a rainy Saturday morning. Friendly staff and quick service. Ordered a nitro cold brew, latte, and americano and pleased with all of them. A small selection of baked goods but they were tasty as well.

Their coffee is divine and they have a great selection of pantries and baked goods as well.

Blackbeard is my go-to spot for coffee in the morning in Downtown! Great coffee, fantastic sweets, and normally a few bagel options. They added a cooler recently and have had wraps and the like from time to time as well. Always a great interaction with staff, and the branding is on point!

First of all, the coffee was excellent - my husband had what is quite possibly the best iced mocha Ive ever had, my iced coffee was equally delicious, and Im sure the chocolate milk they made for my kids was as well given how quickly they downed them. They icing on the cake, though, and the thing thats really priceless is how nice they were. We visited at the end of the day, and my son noticed one of the ladies who worked there bringing in tables, and he went to hold the doors open to help her. In return, she made sure she gave us a couple of muffins (enough for both kids even though my daughter was too engrossed in her chocolate milk to help with the door!). She definitely did not have to do this, and wouldnt accept payment when I offered. She was also very good about making sure I heard the offer and my son did not, in case I wouldnt be ok with it. Truly, if we were locals, we would be coming back all the time.

This place is so great! We had really really good coffees here and we bought some beans to make coffee at home, I am drinking it now and it’s amazing! Love it!

I was rather disappointing with my experience at Blackbeard. Our drinks looked nothing like the other pictures posted. Espresso drinks should be at a drinkable temperature when served. These were not- they were boiling hot. And the steamed milk had the consistency of styrofoam. Maybe they were having an off day, but I won’t be back.

Excellent cafe latte & pastries. Nice seating indoors and outdoors along the sidewalk. Conveniently located across the street from the very nice childrens science museum. Friendly staff and nice decor.

Coffee was great! House made whip cream made it even better! Definitely worth a stop if your in town.

Decided to stop here since it’s close to out hotel. This place was amazing! Highly recommend their cold brew or lattes and their pastries are homemade and great too! Will be stopping here in the mornings for the remainder of our trip.

Very friendly staff, even though they were open on a holiday, nice! I was traveling and needed a great espresso, they did not let me down! Will look forward to going back whenever I get back to Louisville! I love the Cuban based espresso options.

Delicious coffee! The owners are awesome, down-to-earth kind of guys. It really seems like they love what they do, and it shows. It seems like it is a bit pricey, but that hasnt stopped me from making it part of my morning routine.

Blackbeard coffee is a great place to just enjoy the beauty of the day and be at peace. The atmosphere is open in a way that you can have random conversations with strangers or just sit quietly and do nothing at all. Their coffee tastes genuine, and even their blended or iced drinks still have alot of flavor. They have good coffee for people who like cold brew straight or the people who love the blended sugary goodness. I highly recommend it.

Blackbeard made a great first impression on me. Excellent selection. The Redeye is strong, so be forewarned! The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Excellent place if you want a quality cup of java!

Amazing little coffee shop that was a food truck. I got the Hot Chocolate and really enjoyed it and the staff is amazing. Its in a great place right off main where a lot of people can stop in for a nice peaceful cup of coffee or your preferred drink.

My go to coffee stop before work in the morning. The music is ALWAYS groovy, the baked goods are amazing and they have a nice variety. The workers are great people and are good at what they do, hey guys!!

After skipping a different coffee shop closer to my hotel because it had a snooty “No Decaf” sign in the window, I landed at Blackbeard Espresso and am so glad I did. Excellent coffee, genuine service. And they have decaf.
