The Pharmacy has some serious issues. Ive called them twice trying to determine the status of a blood pressure med. After routing my call through the menu, it rang for over 10 minutes without anyone picking up. Didnt even have the courtesy to ask me to Hold Please. I get being under staffed, but turning off the phone system or ignoring customers calls isnt the answer to the staffing issue. Hire more staff!
Me and a friend shopped in there this morning. It was the first time I have been in this store in years. The store was nice and clean. Their employees are very friendly, I joked and kidded around with a few while I was shopping and checking out. The only problem I noticed is they have quite bit of their stock in what is called fronted in their store. Where they pull what they have on the shelves to the front to make it look like they have more on the their shelves than they do. I am noticing more and more stores are doing that now though/
This store is lucky it even gets 1 star the employees r rude and disrespectful. And futher more I was in there today and a manager was degrading a worker right in front of the checkouts using foul language and treating the employee like a child. That should have been done behind the scenes not in front of customers thats uncalled for
It wasnt crowded this time of weekday, Thier shelves were empty in spots in many of the is et Isle. The cold cuts/bacon section was well shopped but the product, bread, Deli and the Mountain Dew was well stocked with the new Voodoo flavor for Holloween on sale no doubt.
Because I had to write something.....this store is fully stocked, workers are nice, but its incredibly hard to steal from here you guys.
Kroger has managed to stay open through the pandemic, offering food, sundries and service to the public in need of such necessary items. Im very pleased to have a Kroger in my neighborhood.
Staff is friendly, but selection is limited. Main door closes at 9 PM and its complicated to enter after that.
Good place to shop nice store clean got a lot of things you need
Its not the greatest Kroger. Old building and pretty limited stock options. The staff is generally nice and they almost always have security and police on-site. If you are used to the more modern Krogers you might want to travel the extra mile to the newer one just down the road.
The store and staff are great ...I just dont understand why they are allowing people to still enter without masks or some type of facial cover. This is scary and very irresponsible and jeopardizing the staff and those around is crazy. Im probably gonna have to shop elsewhere for the simple fact that Covid19 is not going away anytime soon and it seems that they are more worried about offend some.one rather than take a stand
Good produce. Nice deli. Plenty of self check out
Although I love the staff at this store, the store itself is always filthy. It concerns me as to why you always have to enter and exit out of the same door. You have to walk through a sea of people checking out and standing in line at the service desk... I’m not sure how this is following CDC guidelines. They have a security guard who just sits in the chair and plays on his phone. Keep the produce door open until at least a hour before closing time, closing during rush after everyone has gotten off work is down right careless. The manager needs to be talked to about cleaning and CDC guidelines.
Was in this store the other day and got something from the deli. The man who waited on me wore his mask and properly. But the other worker did not even have one on, and she kept coming around me and talking. As I left 3 workers in the bakery department, behind the counter were all standing right at the counter and all of their masks were under their chins. Really dont put them on if your not going to wear them right. It looks stupid! Useless
Pretty decent. Lot of specialty items, as well as many discounted items. Very quick when using self-checkout.I prefer this to many of the other stores for a quick in-and-out. Much easier to navigate, and not as crowded. Makes for a quick trip!Store is clean, employees were friendly.
Judy the manager is Awesome!! Was last minute Thanksgiving shopping they were out of Kroger heavy cream so she helped us with the Land O Lake (got for Kroger brand) She is always in the aisles helping customers and always speaks to everyone she sees With a Smile!! Shes Awesome!!! 3rd St. Krogers Rocks!!!!
Horrible place to work. Lazy management and often never around. Short staffed daily and security is expected to physically fight shoplifters on top of keeping employees safe from harm
This location had a good selection of products to meet our needs. There was a reasonable wait during checkout and the service was also okay. Immediate improvements can be made by insisting upon delivering great customer service and using a teamwork approach to overall cleanliness.
I love Little Kroger! The parking lot isnt littered with carts so you can park easily. The store is clean and the employees are always helpful. There is always someone to bag your things and walk you out if you need help. New Cut Kroger could learn a lot from them.
Never receive my online ordersKroger will not help me!!!Order at your own risk
Jania is the Fastest checkout lady ever!
Absolutely the best Krogers Ive been too. I can use the uscan and get done so much faster. Been here a lot(I mean 2-3 times a wk). It is a hassle to find someone to help you, but Ill find it myself. Besides that I love this store.
I would give this Kroger Five Stars just for the friendliness of their employees. The most friendly in all of Louisville. But because it is a mini Kroger with no fresh meat department, Etc... I gave it three stars
I like this Kroger because its close to my house, has friendly employees and a good selection of food. Some grocery stores are so large that Im exhausted when finished shopping but not this one. I still have the energy to cook what I bought.
Well stocked clean store
It seemed like a clean and well stocked Kroger. They had what I needed and check out was quick. Their electric cars were fully charged and easy to handle. Ive been to other stores where the cart died before the second aisle. Thats not fun when you have congestive heart failure, but that wasnt the case here. Will definitely go back
This is a smaller Kroger than where I usually shop at. The selection is not as great but they have the essentials. Nice staff and pretty clean store. Parking lot is busy all the time.
This is my first EVER negative review...EVER.Ive always imagined people who take time out of their day to write bad reviews as products of the ridiculousOutrage culture I want no part of. With that being said, if you have any other option than this location, I highly suggest you go the extra mile to avoid this circus. If you have no choice, be prepared to stare at National Enquirer magazines and candy bars while standing in line for 20-30 minutes. If you need to use the restroom, youre gonna have to wait on Seth to get the needle outta his arm first. When you finally escape the store, brace yourself for the war in the parking lot. God speed....
Bakery...... do not get any writing done here. Asked them to write happy birthday on a cake and I probably could have done just as good if not better myself. All caps looked like she had never wrote on a cake in her life.
They have recently remodeled. It seemed fine before and is still fine. The service is excellent, generally. I dont like that they discontinued their gourmet bagel topped with Asiago cheese & Jalapenos. It was replaced with a bagel with no cheese and jalapenos inside the dough. And they are usually out of bagels by early afternoon. :(
HORRIBLE LOCATION! This location has gone downhill. Sometimes during the day, theres only ONE cashier working. People with large orders are forced you tie up the Uscan area. I went here multiple times and people are always stealing and walking right out the door. The security officers are either outside smoking, on their cellphones or no where around. One customer walked right out the door with a basket full of groceries. When we alerted the cashier, they said it was nothing they could do. WOW!!!! The managers are so UNPROFESSIONAL in attitude and appearance. They look and dress sloppy. Prices are going up at this location, I guess its due to all the STEALING they allow customers to get away with.
I love Kroger, my favorite grocery. Except need to have more registers open and not check yourself out all the time. I do go late at night or early morning most times but still someone should offer to open and check me out when I have a cart full but thats everywhere anymore. But food always fresh, good prices and sales and nice employees and clean store!!!
One of the last of the old school Krogers. Avoid the after work/ Rush Hour crowd and you can shop and get in and out of there fairly quickly. The staff does a fantastic job keeping carts inside and ready.
Been going to this little neighborhood Kroger since it was built. Everyone is friendly and helpful. This store is neat, clean and usually well stocked.
The remodel has taken 4ever but well worth the time! This Kroger is perfect for everything you need + more. The So 3rd St Kroger is still my favorite! The workers are fantastic! Workers at 2nd St. are nice its just the store is so big it doesnt have the personable feeling like S 3rd St.
Love the new look. International Deli. Selection is incredible. Very nice, very clean. Offers new scan as you go check out option.
Fast check!!! This Kroger always has better prices and a great clearance aisle. Not the cleanest store, but the customer service there is excellent. It is about the last Kroger in the area that has not been updated. Its small compared to the other Krogers in Louisville.
Friendly staff for the most part but not as well stocked as most Krogers. In fairness this is due to its smaller size building. I actually prefer its smaller size. Makes getting in and out of there much quicker.
Great place to shop. Always has carts if you need to shop heavy; carry baskets for shopping light.😍
Smallest kroger in Louisville. I know where everything is and I like that. Friendly staff. Pretty clean most of the time. Grab n go kinda grocery shopping.
Use to love this Kroger. But whoever does the ordering for this store has been discontinuing quite a few items that I buy regularly. So now my choices are very limited. Unfortunately I dont have option of going to another market. This Kroger is my only option.Disappointed.
I love this Kroger. This is the only Kroger that is not jamed packed... It could be a little bit cleaner.. but all in all its a ok store.
I prefer this Kroger to the larger more modern stores. First of all most of the employees are very nice, well informed and fast at the checkout. One example, I was on phone with husband, who was parking car and told him to download a coupon (we were in big rush) employee over heard and let me know that we didnt need coupon. Its things like that, I really appreciate. They always have someone available in meat dept, produce dept, and manager in aisle by registers. Its my main store and most likely always will be. I dont need to be able to buy work boots, snow tires and underwear at my grocery. Good ground beef and some fresh veggies is good enough for me. Keep up the good work 2nd Street Kroger.
The staff was very helpful and respectful
Great experience as always. I prefer this grocery store above all others and it is pretty easy to find a location in all neighborhoods.
Great selection of fresh produce and other items. Good customer service, speedy checkout. Always clean and great deli options
Not a reflection of all Krogers...This place looks and smells like a homeless shelter...I saw a cigarette butt on the floor by the vegetables...Just a poorly managed and poorly kept facility...shut this down and make room for something with less bacteria...I felt like a needed a shower after leaving this place...If you eat vegetables and meat form this store you are a braver soul than I...I personally recommend picking over the garbage at park for better produce. Just a bad Krogers
The cashier was very friendly and helpful and the store is laied out different but easier
Some of the employees are rude. Ive heard them talking about people as they walk by. Overall customer service desk is good. But needs better management.
Great management 👍That is what I learned today.Sometimes you can get angry customers. And your management handled it wellI need to apologise. Because that angry customer was me.I did come back to apologise. like a great person I try to be.So that is my review and this Kroger is one of my favorite placesBe Exclusive Today
Like smaller store. Alot of us senors there. We could find basics easy. Easy walking to
Quick and friendly service. Store aisles are sometimes cluttered with inventory and stockers arent much help. Most were busy and wearing ear buds. But its not to hard to navigate with detailed signs above each aisle. plus they offer western union
This is a pretty decent neighborhood grocery and often a great place to find bread and meat on special. In all departments, the selection is more limited than at some of the newer locations, but still pretty good (which may or may not be a drawback — makes it easier to find the things you need; shopping is less overwhelming). The store is clean and the staff is personable, and if youre feeling unsociable, the U-scan lanes are now set up for larger orders.
The pharmacists are fantastic here, always smiling and pleasant. I wish this Kroger had more support because it seems they have more customers then they can assist. The parking lot needs some love also.
Good sales esp, clearance n close out items. Pharmacy ALWAYS busy n fairly long wait if stay for medicine. But isnt that the catch; browse around while waiting n invariably make a purchase ?
Kroger is doing a great job fulfilling all your shopping needs. Good selection of specialty foods. Lots of parking and gas station on the lot.
I dropped a lens out of the frames of my glasses after asking an employee only thing she could tell me was to walk into the bathroom or check the baskets again. After explaining I cant see I cant even drive without my glasses there was no concern there was no one trying to help.. would love to get a call back. The lens fit sure fell out inside the store. I was totally helpless.. NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE WANTED TO HELP. One lady said girl go in the bathroom and look. I do know people have to clean at night.. why not try to be more helpful??!! Our just a? lil more pleasant?! Im really hoping and praying to get a call back but I dont see it happening.
This store is always clean (I always see employees cleaning/restocking shelves/helping customers.) It doesnt matter what time of day it is or what season. Their prices can be on the high side but Ill pay it knowing there are kids starting their careers here. Ill pay it because I like to see depts maintained especially fruits and vegetables. I like to see that they are being worked, you know where product is constantly rearranged so everything stays fresh and watered. Since their remodel, I cant believe how much more they can offer thier customers. Theres a sushi station, a mexican station, a pizza station, a salad bar (which I love!) and a hot station where you can get chicken, sometimes fish and other items that are cooked. They have a gourmet (international) cheese station too. Ive been a customer at this particular store for close to 10 years. Ive never had a problem with anything. Whether it be getting fresh produce, fresh cold cuts from the deli or picking up a prescription at the pharmacy. Simply put, you cant go wrong shopping at this location. Basically if youre looking for something, chances are theyve got it!!
The expanded Kroger at Central Station is really nice. I get most all my steps in just going to the grocery. They have so many selections and on my last visit had more people to help you find items.
Personally I would feel more comfortable going to the central Krogers however I live slightly closer to the 3rd Street one. Its a little bit sketchy in the parking lot I feel like I always have to watch my back but besides that inside is nice and clean.
I just met someone in the parking lot to buy a chainsaw, its a nice parking lot
Store is super clean! No boxes or crates cluttering the aisles, front staff polite, friendly, and going above and beyond to make consumer want to come back to this Kroger location! Keep up the good work!!!
Recently remodeled, now includes a Starbucks and deli/sushi/cheese areas. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Store is always clean and well maintained.
Always friendly smiling faces when I go in here love it
The new and improved Kroger at Central Station at 2nd and Central Avenue is wonderful. The store just went under a renovation. The size of the store nearly doubled. It now has places to sit for coffee or lunch. A much bigger deli. A huge variety of great improvements st this Krogers. I shop there all the time and i love it. :-)
Smaller size neighborhood store. Carries all the sale items. Able to get in and out quickly when needed. Shelves neatly stocked today. Friendly and available staff.
I like that I dont have to stand in long lines.
The ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE in business history. I have never spent SO many hours on the phone, then was yelled at and hung up on. For months when I try to call and find out about RXs, I have to so2nd hours on the phone and if and when I do get through, they always say they are just so busy. I suggest this store hire some people, and suggest ones that actually have Customer Service skills. I work for a major health insurance company and now I know why they switched to CVS/Caremark. Even customer service desk at this store does not answer. I then called corporate Customer service it said they were experiencing high call volume and to call back later and it disconnected.THIS STORE HAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, and Kroger as a company apparently isnt much better. PATHETIC!!!
I love Kroger good food, clean store, great prices, plus gas credits.
I Love Kroger ! I Go Here Just About Every Single Day . i Never Have No Problems With Anything .. I Would Definitely Recommend Coming Here For Groceries 👌😀 Its The BEST !
They always have everything I Need, and help me with heavy items. Will put everything in my car for me too. Love This Store.
This Kroger is awesome! Very gold employees. Never a bad experience.
Kroger has much improved its stores in the Louisville area. The new gen rivals the great Wegmans chain of the Northeast, and existing stores are receiving major remodeling and upgrades.
This place constantly has problems with crime and doesnt feel welcoming at all. I only ever go here if I need something super quick because it is in walking distance. Otherwise, I go to the one at Central Station because its so much nicer.
Very good employees a employee gave me a dollar for the.19 c I. Needed for my cigarettes and only want me to pray for him. God bless you Bob
This place is always clean and the people are so friendly.
Last week, we bought a bag of chicken legs with price $14 or less, yet it was scanned as $24 then later reduced to $16. Lol 😆Secondly, we bought a BOGO Sara Lee Bread for $2.99 but it was scanned on the Cashier as $2.19 each bag, lol 😆.Seems like their prices are not uniformly or coherently checked. 😆Can somebody checked those prices, please. Were poor and on a tight budget.Thanks. God bless.
Always loved coming here especially since its a small store, easy to find what ya need and ready to go. Not always in stock with items and have some employees who likes to run their mouths. Dont appreciate it.
This small krogers is the perfect neighborhood grocery store. Has all the essentials and a deli w/fresh meats and cheeses and a pharmacy for your medical needs.
I was able to find everything I needed, but they only had 2 lines open
This location is always great, the workers are friendly and very helpful. Now that said the Neighborhood is a dangerous place.
Well kept up. The customer service man made sure to help me first even though he was obviously bust with something else. The bathroom was clean and well kept even though there are so many people from the comunity that use it. They had a good variety of items on sale each time I went.
Kind of a bootleg Kroger very small and not alot of variety but quick in and out
This is an older Krogers has been updated but its been a while. Sort of small, employees are nice. This is a regional neighborhood Krogers in the Churchill Downs area. Neighborhood is starting to be ran down. This is the Krogers I met my wife at 20 years ago in the parking lot. I propose to her eight years ago in the same parking lot.
Left my phone in the restroom and called the next day, was so happy that it was found and returned to me
Parking lot sucks! But they have really cleaned up this little market. Its nice to be able to just run and out with what you need.
Good friendly service I was able to find everything I needed and the employees were there to help me with the things that I couldnt find I really enjoy the new scan and go system that they have going on it really saves a lot of time and time is what Im really pressed for most of the time but over all a great place to do some shopping
This Kroger has failed to keep their systems updated. Due to their uninitiated or failed-attempt to update their systems, one customer will not seek of any product or service for any reason at this Kroger facility. How does a business expect to run in the ever changing and progressive world of business if they fail to maintain up-to-date systems. Worst rating I could possibly give. Congratulations for ever so outstanding customer service. Get with the game Kroger. Business is business and you have failed to meet standards.
This Kroger is much smaller than most, the store is always crowded, some of the staff are not very friendly and would rather be doing anything other than helping their customers. This Kroger is like many in that some groceries are nicely priced while many are over priced. All in all this Kroger will probably have what youre looking for but if you have an alternative to shopping here you may be better served shopping elsewhere. Its often cranky staff, small shopping isles, and sometimes questionable pricing doesnt offer up much persuasion to shop here. Most shop here for lack of choices.
Only issue with this location at 3rd Street & Whitney, is that one young Pharmacist made unnecessary issues for me. However, there was another Pharmacist of possible Spanish, Middle Eastern, or European Desent... Who was absolutly amazing and his self alone made a 5 Star rating all on his own.
Easy to get around the store. Not too busy at 11am on a Saturday morning.
Not bad for a quick run to the store but just go half a mile up the street to Central Station Kroger if you want a satisfactory shopping trip
Great looking place! Always finding something new and interesting to eat :)
Great place. People will help fine what you looking for
Great place, it can be very busy so its hard to get where youre going in a timely manner.
They need to be more efficient on opening another check lane when the only one open is backed up 7-10 customers waiting in line. It is good store to shop other than that.
The layout of the front of the store is just terrible, shopping carts are stored waaaaay out of the way, and the selection of food is pretty limited because of the size of the store. They always block off the MAIN entrance to the store very early in the day, I guess this is an effort to prevent shoplifting? This forces everyone entering the store to walk backwards through the checkout line, jostling other peoples carts, and pushing your way into the store. I get frustrated everytime I come into this place because theyve created a layout that is so illogical. If I didnt live within walking distance to this Kroger, I would never visit again.I would suggest that they hire a security guard to prevent shoplifting and allow them to utilize their front doors, but theyve already got some on staff all the time and they still close the door early. The security guards certainly never seem to be increasing my percieved security. Again, proximity is the only reason I shop here.
My favorite kroger. Lines are short and very accessible. Does have a limited variety based on size but still seems to have at least one brand of everything
