I cant speak to the greatness of the other food here but I just ate a steak burrito and it was the real deal.$7 might sound like a lot for a burrito but as you can see in the picture its worth its weight.

The sign on the window says, best tacos in town. They aint lying!! I happened upon this place, during my lunch hour. I am so happy that I did! I ordered three carne, and 1 chorizo, from a man who I thought could have been the late great Salenas father.They were amazing!!I would love to give this place 5 stars, but they really need to work on their hot sauce game.They offered a chipotle red, and guacamole green sauce. Both were mediocre at best.A nice tamatillo salsa would have put this tacos over the top. With that being said, I have had tacos from many places, up and down Westport road. These by far, were my favorite! Good job guys!!

Two different bad experiences. Most recent I called and placed a pick up order for 3 el pastor tacoes.The women who took my order asked for my name and PHONE number told me it would be ready in 10 minutes I got there and when I told her I was there to pick up my order she said they weren’t selling Eli pastor meat anymore.I asked her well being you have my phone number you didn’t think it would have been the decent thing to do as a person and company to call? This was my second and last chance.First tome I visited something similar happened once again called placed a order over the phone asked them if they had Birria tacoes explained it went back and fourth with the women to be sure she had what I was asking got there and of course there’s steak instead.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE,restaurant also doesn’t look that clean if you want to visit la rosita go to the one in crestwood,ky

Food is excellent. Not quite a CA taco but for Louisville my go-to. I am giving 3 stars because of one employee bringing down the entire vibe of the restaurant (and you can tell who I’m talking about if you visit there frequently like I used to).The employee I’m talking about makes ordering hell, and stains the overall experience - making it difficult every step of the way and genuinely doesn’t treat customers with decency. The two stars off are only because of this employee.If the owner reads this, (who I’ve chatted with multiple times - busy but very polite). I would highly recommend a replacement.Still!.... get the tacos, enjoy them, especially the Al Pastor, they are delicious, and the salsa is excellente, just avoid the grumpy one!Rest of staff are SO happy when you walk in. Overall awesome little gem.

You dont understand how my soul needed this, and no other Mexican restaurant could do it. Seeing the trompa stacked with al pastor cured my depression. Guava nectar also helped. The service was amazing. Gracias, les quiero mucho!

Calling ahead means absolutely nothing!!! They started to prepare my order after I walked in to pay 20 mins later. Ill never be back, theres plenty of taco SHACKS in the city!

This wonderful place has the best, most delicious authentic Mexican food that youll find in Louisville. They make the best burritos Ive ever had in my life. I love La Rosita! Im so glad my boyfriend introduced me to this place a couple years ago, because it kind of changed my life, as hyperbolic as that may sound.

Lot of good food. I especially like chicken tacos deluxe with avocado. Seems to be somewhat authentic.Leftover food items and containers remain on tables for extended time. Unsightly and unappealing while one is eating. Causes one to wonder about cleanliness of tables and other things.Hot sauce squeeze bottles have dribbles around top and sometimes down sides. Tacos and other items are eaten with hands. I dont touch bottle with bare hand and use a napkin. Dont know who else touched bottle and their cleanliness. Maybe children.Two or three cleaning procedures would be a significant improvement.I always carry and use antiseptic hand wipes at all restaurants.Updated comments from additional visits.During two subsequent visits I counted the number of tables with leftover food items and containers. One time there were seven and another time nine tables. Makes one wonder about overall cleanliness.So easy to correct. When food is delivered to the table the server could pickup leftover items but they seem to make a mass cleanup of numerous tables at one time. I dont understand the mindset.Spectrum News was playing on one TV with no sound which is understandable but no closed caption. I asked the assumed owner and was told closed caption did not work. During another visit I asked a worker and was told the remote was in a locked office. Strange.

I have driven past this many times and didnt realize it was a great authentic south of the border dinner spot you can get it to go or dine in. Tacos are 2.50 with several different choices to make and a lot of other menu items that I have not tried before but I will be back to try them next trip. The dining area is a little bit of older modest type seating but clean and quiet functional

Very local, no-frills Mexican food is the best Mexican food. La Rosita keeps it good and simple. Had the barbacoa, al pastor, and asada tacos and each one was phenomenal. Prices were very fair and the guys working there were fast and friendly.

I have been coming here for years. The best tacos in Louisville. In the last year they have shifted their focus from a grocery store to a restaurant. They are busier and busier every time I go there. The food is still really good however the portions are getting smaller and the price is getting higher. I can deal with both of those issues as long as the quality remains the same. I fear the busier they get the worse the product will become.

The facility and decor is unquestionably nothing to write home about. Just the basic picnic tables and bottled drinks. But they absolutely have the best tacos North of the Rio Grande. And Inexpensive, too. You wont be disappointed with the food.

I just went there for the first time, with some co-workers. I ordered a taco and a burrito and both were excellent. I have been to Mexico several times and usually eat at the local/neighborhood spots, not the chain restaurants, and this is no different from there. I will definitely be going back. I couldnt eat all of the food.

The food was great! Tried their lengua taco, and it was delicious. Their sauces are spicy as heck, the green one especially so, but flavorful and delicious.Definitely worth checking out.

The food is delicious and all. Although I wish they had at least 3 servers. I mean I ordered 5 tacos and they took forever. Tacos should not take but 10 minutes if that. Maybe I just dont like to wait oun my food. Grilled steak should taste and look like its been grilled. The salsas were good I only tasted the green salsa. That SIETE MARES soup was Delicious.

HIDDEN GEM - Best Mexican food in town! El Pastor taco is incredible! A good lunch combo is 2 tacos and for dinner you can eat 3 and be full. Chorizo torta is a great option as well. Finish it with a Mexican Coke! Seating is very limited. Be prepared to smell like fried food after you leave.
