My daughter was planning a local move to an apartment with the help of friends, but the landlord changed the move in date to day where she had school exams, work, and no help available. In stepped 2 Men and a Truck! Shanda and her team took care of everything and was unfailingly kind. They fit our last minute request in, the guys were able to come early, the move happened without a hitch, AND the final bill came in under the estimate! Happy customers all around! The moving team was awesome. I moved earlier this year and I requested the same crew to move me again. They are great guys and so hard-working. They didnt have the same truck, so it took longer, and two trips between the locations, so it ended up costing about the same as my first move, which took less time with three men instead of two, and I wasnt moving a few big items that we moved the first time, and we did it all in one trip the first time. Trying to save money, didnt happen. But I am still grateful to Joe and Matt, and the TMT team, and would recommend them to anyone.

We had a huge move, and our 3 men team finished in an outstanding amount of time. Not to mention having to tough it through the heat. The cost was well worth the work they put in. After getting multiple quotes we decided to go with this company, not because they were the cheapest nor the the priciest, but reasonable and got back to us very promptly in comparison to the others. Their pricing was a bit less during the week and they were able to squeeze us in on short notice where others could not. I have to say that from the moment of arrival the two gentlemen got to work. They were efficient and careful at the same time, I had gotten a quote for 6 hours, they completed it in 3 flat. Awesome job, thank you so much for helping my parents with their move. I had to coordinate this move from Texas, but you made it very easy.

The single most abysmal experience with movers Ive had. Been working with them for over a month to schedule our move. Day of the move we call to confirm the arrival time for they told us we had no reservations and could not do anything day of. They canceled our move and mixed our move with another familys together and told us they could only take the reservation of the other family Who bought our house and lied to the family saying it was our error. I am not sure what business model they use but I dont run mine running to my customers and lying. Errors happen but the absolute refusal to fix the situation and going out of the way lying to cover it up is a joke.

My initial request for a quote was returned quickly and came in under the other provider I looked at. They were able to get the move done in one day which was important as we were moving my elderly parents. The two guys who showed up( Jamie and Logan from the Rockford location) were super friendly, helpful and professional. They had all the necessary equipment needed and were overall very knowledgeable and experienced with moving. VERY Satisfied!!

We used 2 Men and a Truck out of Rockford to move my Dad from Amboy to Lombard, IL. The 2 men who moved my father in with my family were phenomenal. They understood he has dementia and were kind and compassionate while moving his things. Our house is under construction and things are all over the place in my house. They were great with getting my Dads furniture where we needed to go and took great care so nothing was damaged.

While I had used the Chicago suburban branch of this company to move me twice before and was very satisfied, the Loves Park crew, while hard working, damaged 3 pieces of furniture in my recent move, and gouged the stairwell walls as they were carrying items down it. Then, after offering to send my furniture for repair, they reneged on their offer, and instead used legalese to worm their way out of the repair job instead offering a measly $100 check so I could supposedly get the repairs done myself, while knowing full well that said repairs would cost triple that amount. Will not be using this company for my next move!

This the fourth time I have used 2M&T and was fully satisfied with their service. The young men (Chris &Danny) hustled throughout the move and were very accommodating. They wanted to make sure we fully satisfied with their service.Once again we had no furniture damage and no need tile any claims.

Very stressful move from my tiny 850 sq ft, 2 bdrm home to a condo 3 miles away. After 8 hrs, the move wasnt complete & the movers left citing they had another move scheduled and couldnt be late. Many items were left in the house I was moving from. Clearly marked boxes & furniture were left in the garage of my new home instead of placing them where they belong. There is no way I could move those items to the proper rooms myself. They lost the legs to my bed, the hardware for my fridge, & a foot from my washer. 2 days later they sent 2 different movers (Christopher & Mike) to complete my move. These 2 guys were professional & experienced & quickly cleaned up the mess left by the 1st movers. The company charged me $450 on top of the $950 I had already pd. After I sent pictures of the debacle, they removed the additional $450.

Recently used Two Men and a Truck to move furniture within my home and also to the garage for later donation. They were on-time, professional and efficient.

Nick and Ryan were great. Of course we moved on the hottest most humid day of the year. They were friendly and cheerful the whole time. Obviously very experienced at what they do. The truck was filled to the brim. Even as night fell, they were willing to reposition furniture until it was where we wanted it. Katie in office was very efficient and friendly also. Only glitch was it took awhile to find the local telephone number.

The inventory that they sent was very complete and helpful to mark what needed to be moved. An estimate was sent after the inventory was appraised. The two men who moved our furnishings were very hardworking and polite. They were efficient and careful with all pieces they moved. Our final charges were actually less expensive as our furniture weighed less than anticipated. We would suggest this company to friends and family.

What a wonderful service! My two movers, Sean and Mark P., were delightful to work with. They were courteous, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful folks who worked as a single, seamless unit. All of my furniture was carefully wrapped up and protected prior to transportation. Upon arrival, everything was reassembled and placed exactly where I specified. And, perhaps most importantly, Sean and Mark P. did everything safely. Their safety was never squandered in exchange for a few saved minutes--a fact I am very appreciative of. Ive never hired movers before, but after this experience, I do not ever want to move again without them.

I have used Two Men and a Truck before and I was very happy with the service. I was also happy with this move until the end. When we got to the destination, I specifically told the movers where they could park the van. I was specific about this because much of the ground is muddy. There was an area between the house and a shed that had gravel down. I went into the house to check that everything was ready and when I came back out, they were parking where I told them not to. Their reason was that the ground was too slanted where I said they could drive. If this was the case, they could have easily spoken to me first and come up with a different option. Instead, they buried the truck in mud and then went into the shed without permission and dug gravel from the floor to try and fill the hole. When we suggested repeatedly that they should call for help, they continued to try and get the truck out themselves, making the mud hole deeper and as well as creating deep ruts in the yard. After an hour of this, they finally called their supervisor. While waiting, they both told us that they had made a mistake when they didnt discuss their decision to park where they did with us. When the supervisor showed up, he never introduced himself and offered no compensation. He said have a good night and drove off. The next morning I called to complain and was told the movers said I insisted they drive where they drove, denying that they had gone against what I had told them. I was told I would receive a call back and someone would be out to look at the damage. That was Tuesday morning. This is Friday night and I havent seen or heard a thing. Before this, I was very happy with the company and recommended them to several people. After this, I will not be using them again and will instead advise people not to use them. Im really unhappy about this mostly because I liked the movers and was very happy with their work up to this point. An apology and an attempt to correct the situation would have easily avoided a bad review and I might have used their services again in the future.

The two gentlemen arrived on time, were very professional, came in to assess the situation and layout of the home and made a plan to pack and move the items in the most efficient manner. The same plan was implemented when they arrived at the delivery destination. They demonstrated a genuine care of the items. This was done because two of the items were vintage antiques and were not replaceable. We would highly recommend that these two gentlemen be assigned to any future customers who needed extra care for their belongings that needed to be moved. If in the future we needed to have vintage antique items moved we would request to have these same two employees. These guys are a real asset to your company image. In other words, they are definitely keepers!!

I would recommend using two men and a truck for all of your moving needs. Our move took approximately 12 hour, and the three men still had great attitudes at the end of the move. It was a pretty long and exhausting day for all of us however, I can’t say enough about the three men to that came to help us that day. Volney, Patrick and Jesse handled our furniture are as if it was their own. They were kind, respectful and courteous! They did a fantastic job and should be recognized for that! Our 2 men from 2 men and a truck were amazing. They handled our possessions with great care and incredible skill. I was blessed by their professional, compassionate attitude.I would DEFINITELY choose 2 Men again!

The guys showed up over 3 hours late. We were promised that 2 crews would be sent over to help the move go faster and we would not get charged for the extra crew or the drive time. When they finally got to our first location one of the guys was mouthy with my husband. We had a table top that we needed to throw out but we were going to keep the base. My husbands direction was completely ignored and both pieces were thrown out. (We did not realize this until the next day. The move was not finished until after 8 pm and we were so exhausted we did not have time that night to check everything over.) When we realized that the table base was gone, we had to go by our old place. Luckily, the base was still sitting out by the garbage.Also, during the move, my husband had asked that our leather couch be wrapped to protect it from damage. The guys ignored his request and now we have large scratches which are very visible on the backrest.The second crew of guys only helped in moving things out of our old place. We had furniture at our warehouse that also needed to be moved and they did not show up for that or for moving everything in to our new place. I do have to say that the two guys that were left worked very hard. Unfortunately, the whole process took far longer than it should have.As I said before, we were told there would be no charge for the drive time because they were so late getting to us. When one of the movers was going over the final total, he indicated that we were being charged for drive time. At this point I told him what the office had said about not being charged and he responded, Well, I wish they would have told us that. I refused to pay for the drive time and the man agreed.Unfortunately, this is the second experience I have had with Two Men and a Truck where the movers were very, very late. I am a reasonable person and I understand that things come up. Now that the same thing has happened again, and in addition that our furniture was lost and/or damaged, one of the movers was mouthy and disrespectful, and that they were going to charge us for something they promised not to charge us for, we will not be using Two Men and a Truck again.This is especially true because we tried to contact the owner and asked him to call us. He would not, and instead passed it off to his office staff. We have a business as well. If we make a mistake, we speak directly with our customers and own the mistake. We do whatever is necessary to make it right. Apparently the owner of Two Men and a Truck does not believe that it is necessary to address the concerns of his customers.

I Had them move two heavy couches up a flight of stairs. They were very respectful for the furniture and the walls at both places. They were very well organized and very friendly. Could not ask for a better experience. I definitely recommend them above the rest.

Terrible people. I hate giving bad reviews. I get that you’re a company that cares about your employees but in this situation you should also care about people. Apparently what they read in the media is their biggest concern and keeping appointments is not. They’re basing a decision on what they read on A news report & choosing to disrupt an elderly woman’s life and not move her. It’s ok for essential workers...the 50 healthcare workers a day, the delivery workers, our entire administrative team, our maintenance team, etc. to be here everyday but not their movers, one day to help a woman move 100 miles closer to her family because .01% of our population (that’s 2 quarantined residents & 1 staff already healthy but offsite) has tested positive. And yes they have all been tested! Masks, gloves, hand washing & sanitizing works wonders!

Simply put--expect damaged furniture. I have used this location several times and have had damaged furniture from both. Ironically, the one piece has been damaged twice during different moves! Another piece has been repaired but two sides of it dont match the others. The repair company is arguing with me over it. Its a battle with the movers and a battle with the repair company. Unbelievable. Their crews are typically great, so this is a disappointing end to the situation.

If I could I would rate 0 stars. This company confirmed arrangements with my grandmother then when the day came to move they canceled because the building has two positive covid-19 cases out of 200 people. They were extremely rude when we called to ask what the issue was. Why would they even take business if they are so worried about the pandemic? Going anywhere is a risk if they accept business else where I do not understand why they would deny services to my grandma. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

It was Halloween, snowing very hard, movers couldnt bring my sectional couch into the apartment nor would they carry it around to the backdoor so my couch left with them. They didnt have a large enough truck so my china cabinet and bedroom dresser, was delivered a couple of days later meaning an additional charge.

I had a very good experience with Two Men and a Truck moving my large and heavy objects. The move set up and pricing was smooth and my movers were professional, courteous, efficient and CAREFUL. Overall I would say that the value for the work accomplished was excellent and I am a very pleased customer.

The packing guys did a good job. Everything they packed on day one survived the trip. Ok day two, three new guys showed up to move us.One spent most of his time on his phone while the other two worked. Lots of arguing between the movers. The destroyed our kitchen table by trying to lay it on its side in the truck with nothing protecting from the truck floor. The never took the legs off because they didn’t have any tools apparently. The “fix” they made on the table looks terrible. The other option was less than 50 dollars to replace the table.Took them nearly 12 hours to move us (no unpacking or packing). Would never recommend this company as they were not prepared and worked incredibly slow.

Great Job! They took great care of our things, worked quickly, and the price was VERY reasonable. I hope we dont move again anytime soon but if we do we will use Two Men and a Truck!

Move went well. However TM&AT team was not equipped with a strap that would allow our refrigerator to be moved the same way it was delivered. The delivery team was able to get it through our doorway with just the handles removed. TM&AT had to remove and reinstall the refrigerator doors (5) which took more time. Time we paid for. Not a big deal, but somewhat surprising.
