Great place! First time for me. Second for my son. I wanted the Bravia not the normal boring experience but we didnt realize they gave us the boring one until we got back to the range. Next time we know to ask. It was very clean and the people were really nice. Ammo has definitely been negatively affected by the current administration but they do have it.

Amazing. super impressed with this facility. They brought the best! This place is well thought out. Very well organized. Friendly and knowledge staff. Nice amount of retail selection. I would say pricing it right on for the type of lanes available. If you havent checked this place out and you like to shoot, go there, youll be impressed.

Best place to take your mom to learn how to use a handgun in order to properly defend herself and her home. She shall henceforth be known as My Pistol Packin Mama. This facility is quite nice and the instructor known as Sarg is not only knowledgeable about the subject but also has great social skills and patience.

This was our first time here. We took my 90 year old Dad who had never shot a gun. Sarge was so patient and helpful to us all. John was really helpful also. My Dad purchased a gun too and the transaction was good. We will definitely be back.

WAY over priced! I went in to buy an AR pistol... It was $150 over MSRP and wouldnt budge. I get that this style is in high demand right now. For a shop to charge over MSRP, is just taking advantage of the situation and the consumer.

Bought a gun online had it sent to the store to do the transfer. Drove over 30 minutes to get there. Showed up at 6:31 and was refused transfer service because they dont do them past 6:30. For no other reason than they were getting close to closing. I chose this store because it was local owned. Never again!

Nicest gun shop in Lubbock. I needed to get my SBR lower engraved and they did a fantastic job! As soon as I walked in everyone spoke to me and asked me how I was and what I needed.

I organized a bachelorette party and came here for one of our adventures. We had an absolute blast! We knew nothing about guns and shooting and Sarge took good care of us and taught us everything. Outstanding place to shoot and learn to shoot. Clean, friendly and safe. Range Safety Officers are great, friendly and always willing to help with any aspect of becoming a better marksman.

I dont like leaving a bad review but I also dont think its very safe that none of the employees had masks on. This establishment does not require face masks and with covid in Lubbock hitting a peak in beds with both hospitals, just felt very uncomfortable. I was greeted but didnt stay long due to the whole mask issue.

Your RSO on range A is costing you money. I give RSO’s slack because of the nature of their job dealing with untrained people. But this guy was unnecessarily rude. As a USMC infantry veteran my hearing isn’t so good and almost nonexistent with good plugs.Perhaps moving the “rules” board outside the range would be a good move. Expecting someone to dawn eyes and ears then have a conversation with someone is a bit counterproductive.I won’t be back.

I was very impressed with the facility. They have decent selection of firearms and the range is top notch. $20 for the entire day is not bad at all. My only complaint is that they do not allow steel case ammo, even if it is slow moving pistol ammo.

The store is nice and the range is quite new. Sarge the RSO is great, and was a lot of help to a first time shooter such as myself. Theyve got targets, ear and eye pro if you dont have your own.

If I could give this a 10 star, I would!! My daughter (today was her 18th Birthday) and I went solely based on the other reviews. This range has customer service down to a tee!!!!When we first walked in, a young lady (forgot to get her name) welcomed us and explained the rules and pricing to us. She was very professional and friendly to both my daughter and I (She even let the ranger officers know that my daughter is hearing impaired and that they would need to be close when talking to her, HUGE PLUS in my book.) . We both felt very welcomed into their business.Then when we went into the range, Sarge was absolutely AWESOME!!!!! He also went over what the rules of the range were. My daughter was having some issues loading the mags and he stepped over and showed her a trick to do it and it helped out immensely! Sarge was very hands on, very friendly, gave different people tips and just chatted with the customers, which I thought was also great.From the time we entered to the time that we left, everyone was great and willing to help with whatever was needed.Thank you!!!!!

Lone Star Shooting Sports has an amazing facility. Beautiful, state-of-the-art shooting lanes, fantastic retail selection, rentals, high-tech simulations...they do it all! I really appreciate their emphasis on education and safety! The staff is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly. They even offer Ladies’ Night on Wednesday evenings with special discounts. Excited for Lubbock to have a place like this!

We drove from Odessa to attend an LTC class here! Craig, and our safety officers were absolutely AMAZING. Knowledgeable, but not arrogant! Kept the class entranced with some humor while also making sure to teach us as much as possible. Range facilities were down right amazing, definitely worth the drive!Will for sure make it again just to shoot sometime soon!

As soon as we walked in the door we was greeted very friendly and was given a tour of the facility. They were very knowledgeable and showed a passion about there work. My wife and I are in town visiting from WV and plan on going in today to try out the shooting range.We went back today to shoot, they were very helpful and patience with my wife as she has not shot that much before. We loved the range and will definitely be going back again when we are in town.

Brought the wife here for a much needed shooting session. Awesome facility, very helpful staff at the counter. But the reason i couldnt give more than 3 stars was because of one range officer in the range. One was very courteous, helpful and polite and even gave me a bandage from a blister in the palm of my hand that broke open while i was shooting. The other officer however, was just plain rude. I had just began shooting and the guy came up behind me yelling and began talking down at me because i was doing something he didnt like and i didnt even know i was doing anything. He could have been a little nicer about it but whatever. So yeah a 3 star rating, however ill be back in the future.

This is a phenomenal facility! It is a state-of-the-art with amazing amenities. I just can’t express enough how much my daughter and I were made to feel comfortable and “at home”. The environment was safe and secure. The RSOs were knowledgeable and a constant presence. Can’t wait for them to fill their retail real estate with amazing products! Great job!

Clean, modern, helpful staff. The staff was very nice and everyone was watching to ensure all safety protocols were followed. Computerized lane targets with all the bells and whistles. Air quality in the shooting bays was excellent. Lanes are monitored by video along with a safety instructor in the bays ensuring a safe, pleasant time for everyone.

They take your temperature as soon as you walk in. Which is funny considering most people with COVID-19 do not have a fever nor do they present any other symptoms. Also, not all people with a fever have COVID-19. Never returning.

This is an absolutely beautiful facility with state of the art equipment! Staff is fantastic, very welcoming and I dont think anyone gets in the door with out a Hello from someone on staff. I love that I dont have to wait for a sales person to put my hands on a hand gun, because they are all securely set out for you to try in your hand. I love the moving targets and the VIP room/ Range is to die for.

Went to purchase a firearm here as they had been recommended by a family friend. Salesperson refuses outright to sell me one, didn’t ask for my ID, no background check attempted just a denial. I’m a veteran and was flat out refused on my second amendment right. Ironic as they have that same amendment written on their wall. Not impressed.

I have been to a bunch of shooting ranges,and lone star is one of my favorites for sure. You should give them a try if your in Lubbock.

Really cool place to go shooting!! Brand new place-- big and clean. They have 2 ranges-- one standard and one tactical (moving targets). You can rent guns if you dont have one. They also have display pistols you can handle. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Brilliant experience! All staff were friendly and informative. Dave inside the gun range was awesome and very helpful. Their was another young lad behind the counter at the entrance who was really knowledgeable about all the weapons and was brilliant at helping me select some rentals.

Beautiful facilities and the people working in the retail space were very helpful, however that courtesy did not continue with the range officers. I was on range A. The officers told me to read over the rules on the wall. Because Im dyslexic I have difficulty reading. The range officer decided he was going to quiz me on what I read. Because I couldnt answer his questions his attitude changed and became belittling and the other rang officer started to laugh. I am s seasoned shooter and have qualified for my CHL. I will not be back...

This is a great facility! Two main bays plus the VIP bay each one has 7 lanes. Great gun selection too if you want to buy or rent one. I have done the basic AR-15 class and learned a lot. I will be back for more classes in the future.

Best in door shooting range in town. Everyone is very polite an respectful, from the people working the counter an store area, to the RSOs that work on the range. The owner is super awesome and likes to joke and have a good time. If they dont have the gun you are looking for, they will order it in and have it within a reasonable time! Static shooting is $20 dollars, the tactical shooting (where the target spins an does other things) is $25 dollars. You can try before you buy for $10 if Im not mistaken and you can rent firearms as well. Also, they have some different targets you can buy for like a $1 or $1.50, or bring your own. Love shooting here whe I get the chance and the wife likes to go as well. RSO are very helpful if youre a first time shooter, will be going back again soon! Highly recommend to anyone that wants to shoot or is a shooter.

LOVE this place! A HUGE selection of firearms to choose from, fun and cheap targets, very advanced and modern lane systems, and you can even rent full auto Machine Guns like an UZI or MP5 for $50 or a belt fed light machine gun for $100

This is the absolute best range I have ever visited. The employees are wonderful, Thomas does a wonderful job of introducing as many people into the sport we all love and the RSOs even helped me pick up my brass for re-loading!😊The prices are very reasonable and the high tech equipment they have is not only very fun, but helps hone your shooting skills. They don’t let me exchange the even I bought it 1 day before it. They’re said the policy it’s final sale, but when I asked where is your policy the said they don’t have it. They have to find it.

So be aware date night tickets are sold per couple so the 60 dollars is for a couple. We were told it comes with dinner and free rentals, but you have to buy the ammo from them. So I purchased two tickets thinking they were per person not a couple. After actually getting a hold of someone, after purchasing tickets, I was told I could get a refund for the ticket. Then the day of, our child became sick and we had no sitter, so I tried to get a refund the did end up giving us 50 percent back, but this was for both tickets so i spent 120 total. So i got 60 back. But the reason we were not able to get a full refund was because the dinner was already purchased. When I asked if I could still get my meals since they were already purchased and that was the reason they couldnt give me a full refund. I was told no because they didnt have the food there at that time. (obviously) I didnt see why I could not have came and picked up the meals at a later time being i paid for them and that was the reason i could not get a full refund. Upon leaving I was told by the employee they have other date nights at later times I could come back to those, but after felling like I am getting screwed out of 60 dollars. I could buy a ticket for one of those. my feeling is this, I just got screwed out of 60 dollars that i earned from giving up a peice of my life in exchange for money. I value that time so that 60 dollars isnt just 60 dollars i lose out on its also time i will never get back. Im not a trust fund baby. So I learned a 60 dollar lesson so you who are reading dont have to. they get to keep my 60 dollars but at the cost of losing my business. I gave it two stars for the reasons 1. They have a very nice facility2. They gave me some of my money backBut in the end I felt like I am the one who got the shaft.

I completed the LTC class today. This new range is really nice and they have so many things planned. The instructor, Craig Mann was great. He kept our attention and made the information relatable to real life situations. I scored a 100 on the written test and a 234 out of 250 on the shooting test. The staff are supportive and friendly. Raymond is very knowledgeable and willing to share to enhance the experience. I am excited to attend the upcoming events and hope to get a few friends to join me.

Friendly and helpful staff.This is the cleanest, nicest shooting range on the South Plains.This range of stars of the art and you can shoot rimfire up to center fire rifle, .308 etc.There are two main shooting ranges, one with static targets and the other has tactical moving targets.On top of the two standard ranges there is also a private VIP range.There are is a wide range of rental guns to try out different things, handguns up to rifles, including a few full auto options.They have a large showroom with lots of firearms for sale and tons of accessories.There is also gunsmith services and laser engraving available.And did I mention A/C and clean filtered air on the range, you wont leave all sweaty and smelling like lead and gunpowder.On top of all this, they also have training classrooms and offer all manner of training, Firearms, LTC, First Aid and more.

Staff is helpful and knowledgeable, however I asked a question through Facebook about 2 months ago and recipt of the message was acknowledged, however follow up was never followed through. I had to end up getting a membership elsewhere. Apart from that the range is great as is the staff.

This place is amazing and just keeps getting better and better! From the Ti GunFighter simulator, where you can shoot zombies, to the moving targets with flashing lights and real-world scenarios, and everything in between! Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a large selection of firearms to buy or rent, as well as lots of accessories. They even sell Black Rifle coffee. On our anniversary, my husband asked me where I wanted to go for our date and I responded “Duuuhhhhh! Shooting at Lone Star, where else?!?” 😁

Unbelievable range, staff, and product options, just what Lubbock always needed! Tom held nothing back when building this range and it shows. Walk in there and you’ll know it’s the nicest range you’ve ever seen. I took my LTC class there and was blown away by the instructor, classroom, and range itself. There is a VIP section that is a must see, if you can afford it, it is the “taj mahal”. All in all, the range is definitely worth taking a look at, take time and shoot at the range, you won’t be let down!

I hadnt fired a handgun since the late 1970s, when I was about 13.I bought my first handgun, 5 months ago. Ive been to Lone Star Shooting Sports many times, since then. I took my LTC class on March 30th.Thanks to instruction, tips and advice from Sarge,... and, (his name escapes me,) a younger guy.... tall, beard and pretty well inked up on one (or both) of his arms...I got out to the outdoor range, that Saturday morning, for the shooting portion of the LTC testing.It was 42° that morning, with 25-30mph winds at our backs.. yet I managed to score a 232.Believe me, for me...holding steady aim with 35+mph wind gusts at your back... that aint easy!Sarge, and the other staff member gave me great instruction, especially on grip and grip strength.Thanks to Lonestar Shooting Sports, for getting me another step closer to getting my LTC!
