Bought a used truck for my business, we all know things might not be ok when we buy used, sometimes we may inherit other peoples headaches. I will say that Abel ( sale Managment on used lot) and Sam, salesman on the lot, made it their top priority, to make sure everything on the vehicle was fixed THE RIGHT WAY! While this was being done, they gave me an equal truck to keep my business running! Customer for life! Thanks for doing business the way it should be! 5 stars in my dealings! Terrible Service Department! Have had my car 30 days and keep telling me they are waiting on the part, then get the part and tell me my car will be ready in 2 days. Call me on the day the car is supposed to be ready and tell me they received the WRONG part and the correct part would be in in 24 hours. Really? Waited 30 days on wrong part but correct part will arrive in 24 hours.Update 6-4-21:Eric in service told me on 6-2-4 my car would be ready on 6-3-21. Told Eric I would pick my car up on 6-4-21 and Eric said that would be fine. Called 6-4-21 at 10:45 am and was told my car was not ready. If I could give a negative rating I would. They have done nothing but lie. I have not had a vehicle for over 30 days now because of them.

Needed a repair for my truck, and I took it to the service department. They figured out what was wrong and set up a time for me to have it fixed. All covered under my warranty with them, so only my deductible was out of pocket. Not to mentioned they gave a loaner car while the repairs where being completed. Super friendly staff as well.

8/7/2020 When on hold to follow up from never receiving a return phone call by service advisor Amanda, the on hold message that played about taking pride in their customer service made me think how can that be if I cant even get a return call. That second call I made I got a promise that I would get a call back by noon. Never got the call back nor do I want to get a call back now. To me that says that my business isnt important enough and I shouldnt have to follow up with a business that many times.Customer service fail.

Dishonest staff will tell you anything to make a sale! The finance gentleman told us he was going to give us “x” amount of free oil changes but he would add them to our account after the fact because it was easier. Now fast forward to my first oil change since the purchase and they never added them and have no intention to add them. If they had not plans to give away an oil change that in the long run you pay for, then They should never told us that. We should have got it in writing! So much for ever doing business with this local business again!

DO NOT let these people work on your vehicle!! You have been warned. They changed our ball joints and did not tighten the lug nuts. Our wheel came off and sheered the lug nuts odd And now $987.45 later we are lucky to have our lives. We call them and they state that it is not their fault and will not take responsibility!! So if you care for your families lives DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! They were the very last people to touch our Dodge truck prior to this happening.

The service department just doesnt care about providing good service. My wife purchased a brand new vehicle and with less than 2,000 miles on it, an electrical problem has caused an intermittent drain on the battery resulting in the car failing to start. After the second time in the shop, Blake told me to put a trickle charger on it and try to drive it more than 5 miles every day so that the alternator would fully charge the battery. I just cant see putting a trickle charger on a brand new vehicle because the service department cant find the problem. I get that intermittent electrical issues are admit idly hard to diagnose, but they just dont care enough to make us happy or give us a better alternative than to seek service at Mike Perry.

Horrible customer service in the service department. If you call for a price for something they will tell you labor only and then when you get there they say you have to pay for parts as well. So I came in to have our fuel filter done and I called before bringing our vehicle in and was quoted 92 dollars. Then they did the work and it ended up costing 331 dollars because he says they only quote labor. Not the parts. Be aware

I wasted two hours here this morning. I had called and spoke with a salesman yesterday and he said he would be able to offer me a vehicle at least 1500 dollars cheaper than another dealer I had gone too. He asked me when I could come by, I told him 8am when they opened that way I could hurry and scoot on over to work after. I got there at 8 and he was nowhere to be found. So another salesman helped me. He kept talking about how the other dealership had jacked up the numbers to offer a bigger discount, and theirs were cheaper. All in all they come out the same (its all a numbers game.) Salesman were rude, and seemed to have better things to do. I tried to shop local but am getting a much better deal by heading south. (And much better treatment)

Had to give them star cause i couldnt give a negative 5. Service department is the worst. Made an appointment for 8 am, finally called to pick up my truck at 4 in the afternoon. Had a couple of recalls, oil change and tire rotation. I had found a nail in one tire was going to have them fix it but they were unable to locate it. Asked about the order of the rotation so i would know where the tire with the nail is but was told on a rotation there is no specific order to place the tires. Since i mark my tires the tire was randomly put back in the same location. This is no service department, they are the worst. I will never go there again. I will never purchase another vehicle from them again.

When my injection pump failed Mopar refused to honor my service contract because my 3500 Ram had a flat bed on it (Like 100,000 other 1-tons on the road). After 7 weeks of going back and forth with Mopar and Southern, the dealership in Alto where I purchased the truck and the extended warranty, helped get the regional service rep to approve the repair. The service manager at Southern, who claimed he was trying to help get it covered, refused to fix it. He said Ram was only going to pay the actual cost and Southern was IN BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY. I had to pay to transport the truck to Alto who gladly took it. Dont waste your time with this service department they could care less about their customers.

For the last 6 years I have been using the service department at Southern Dodge in Lufkin for my oil changes and any recalls that need to be fixed. They have a new manager he is rude. I came in on a Saturday to get my oil changed and inquired about when I could get my recall fixed, he told me come in any time I wouldn’t need an appointment. I take a day off of work to get things done and on my list is the recall, I stop by and he said you need an appointment. I told him you told me I didn’t need one, he said well now you do, it would be 3 weeks until I can get it done. No thanks, I will not be coming back for any service.

Worst dealership ever. Was in a accident and brought my vehicle there for repair. Well they have no body shop at this location and are in cahoots with an outside shop who are also worthless. S&W are their names. Long story short, all they want is your insurance money and dont care if your vehicle is fixed or not, after all its not theirs. 9 weeks my vehicle was there and not one Bolt was changed.But you can bet your ass they still charged a service fee.Stay as far away from these two places as possible.

Sales dept is great. Very friendly and as helpfull as can be. Service dept is the problem. Service dept seems to not care about helping the customers. They will do bare minimum no more and when you do have an issue with the vehicle you purchased there they do their best to squirm out of not having the warranty cover it. Ive learned my lesson (unfortunately it took several vehicles purchased through them) and decided to not to buisness with them again or recommend them to anyone else. If you want a ram, jeep go somewhere else.

I took my 2008 3/4 ton Ram to have the fuel filter changed. I was quoted $120 for parts and labor. When they finally called me they told me they couldn’t change it unless I got a new housing which would cost $260. So I told them jus put it back together an if change it myself. When I picked it up they charged me $80 for labor an didn’t even get the filter changed. I left an went to autozone an got a new housing an filter for less then $100. I’ll never b back to that dealer again

Picked up my vehicle at 830 a.m. and at 905am, the same day! i was broke down on the side of the road. Service man had an attitude. Now i was not charged for the repairs due to a recall,but now they are saying the recall wasnt the issue that i would have to wait and see when they do ANOTHER diagnostics test. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!!!! They dont deserve a star but i cant post this without putting at least one.

Sad faces, not to up to customer service, service writer, and manager they both liers, I took my van to get it service, and they did a terrible job, they done some wire work on it, they rewire and the wires are out side with tape holding them, the service manager suppost to call me to see if his macanic wanna fix it, that was last week, no call jet. On October 4th 2016 I took my 2003 dodge pickup into Southern Chrysler Dodge dealer in Lufkin Tx. The transmission was slipping and I wanted to know if it could be fixed or if it needed a new transmission. In addition it needed a new brake job and the ac was not blowing cold. I asked for an estimate on all three items.The service rep called and said $1300 to fix all three problems. He said the transmission needed a new switch. I told them to proceed with the repairs. They called a few days later and said it would need new rotors. They thought they could turn them but they couldnt. That will be an extra $500.00.A few days later they called to say it was done but when they test drove it one of the front wheels started smoking and it needed a new caliper. That will be an extra $500.00.When I picked the truck up upon completion i got maybe five miles down the road and the brakes locked up on the other front tire and started smoking. I parked it on the side of the road and went back to Southern Chrysler and they said they would tow it in and order another caliper for that side. That turned out to be an extra $222.The first caliper (parts only) they charged $313.00 and the second was $117.00. They gave us a break on this one and they paid for the tow.When I picked the truck up again, the brakes and air conditioning worked but it would not shift into overdrive at all. At 55 mph I was staying at high rpms and you could hear that things were not right.I brought the truck back the next day. I was quite upset. The transmission was working better when we first dropped it off than when we got it back. Theservice rep said he told me the first fix on the transmission might not work. I never heard him say that. I would not have okd the brakes and ac work if he would have told me that.He pointed out that it said it on the receipt. The receipt said found trans low of fluid inspect found neutral safety switch leaking replaced switch and service trans found above normal level of clutch debris in pan trans will need to be replaced soonThe service rep said that translated to the transmission could last two days or two years.I asked him how much for a new transmission and he said, let us take another look at it and Ill let you know.Got a call that they found codes for governor sensor and transducer and that could fix it but they cannot say for certain and it would be another $500.00. I dont know why they did not get these codes when they first ran the diagnostics.Got a call from them on October 18th. The new parts didnt work and I need a new transmission. That would be $4700 for the transmission and $800.00 or $900.00 for labor. At this point I have no faith in their mechanical ability so on October 19th 2016, I went and picked up the truck. They charged me $544.00 for the new parts and the labor to put them on even though it did not fix the problem. I am quite sure that everyone in the service office knew I was upset. The lady who took my money asked me if I wanted the service manager to call me. I told her that would be great and gave her my number. As of this posting I have not received a call.So now I have a truck that I have sunk $3,000.00 into but cant drive it. They gave us an estimate of $1300.00 and the estimate should have been $7700.00 almost six times as much. We basically paid them $1052 for an accurate diagnosis of the problem with the transmission.I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and posting this review on any and all sites that accept reviews for this establishment.

I would highly advise you stay away from this dealarship......we brought a jeep from a ford place that had our jeep supposedly worked on prior to us purchasing it. the next day after purchasing the jeep the abs lights came on and traction light came on due to it being a faulty abs sensor.....keep in mind the ford dealership had this jeep serviced through these clowns (southern chrysler) prior to us purchasing it for the same exact issue so weve sent the vehicle back to southern for about half the week while we had to have a rental while the car was at southern it was never moved it sat in the exact same location for all those days i drove by and looked periodically so we came back to southern to retreve the jeep and the tech tells me there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and that they have no idea why it would be happening basically they never fixed the issue and now its making my engine light come on so we decide to go back for a third time and asked about this same sensor so they say sure lets take it on back and see what we can find on the diagnostic test now keep in mind when hes telling me all this he did not mention anything about an 85.00 dollar diagnostic charge so they go on to do thier so called testing and lord behold the same abs sensor thats been an issue this entire time is the same one thats going and it needs to be replaced, so then they proceed to tell me i owe them 85 bucks for running diagnostics that they didnt even tell me they were doing it these guys are extremely shady and will absolutely rip you off please dont go to these guys youll be sorry

Liars. I had a coupon for an oil change up to 5 quarts and tire rotation.They put in 6 qt, so they claim, instead of 5 so they can charge me me for it. My car normally takes five qt.No explanation was given as to why my car needed an extra quart. They did not rotate the tires.
