I got to admit, Kia has my heart. As a first time car owner, they made the process super easy and affordable for a college student such as myself. I recently got my oil changed and car inspection done on my car. Customer service treats you right out there. Keep it fresh and cool Kia, y’all doing a good job!
I have been looking into getting an SUV for a few years now, and I found a few online that I liked. I read some reviews on Lumberton Kia, to see who I would need to talk to, and Hector had the most positive compliments...so I asked for him. He definitely lived up to the reviews, as he is very understanding and friendly. His assistant, David, was also very helpful and patient. The finance officers were also very patient and knowledgeable.When I tell you I was probably annoying, that is an understatement. I had them working and reworking numbers, yet they did it with so much courtesy and flexibility. They completely listened to what I was looking for, what I could afford and my unique situation. Needless to say, they have one happy customer. I ended up with an SUV that was loaded with technology and was a perfect fit for my growing kids and pets.The location is obviously convenient, and the showcase room/interior was very clean and welcoming.
Brandon Charles was a great help, sufficient, and listened to I wanted in a vehicle. If I ever wanted to buy another car, he would definitely be the one Id ask for. His boss and his assistant was very kind, great sense of humor. Im grateful for Brandon and his boss for making this happen. Im blessed to have met them. As someone who has anxiety when it comes to car shopping Jon made the whole experience easy and no pressure. He helped me out when I was with my infant so I could look at cars as well. He made sure I felt comfortable with prices and made sure I left with what I wanted. Never pressured me once. When you go ask for Jon! The place it self was very welcoming and friendly as well.
I dropped off my Kia on a Thursday and had to reach back out to them to get my car back that Monday. There were 5 pairs of shoes, jewelry, money, and all of my softball gear (i.e. bag, fielding glove, cleats, and softballs) missing when I got my car back. My console was also opened and scattered all over my passenger seat. I did not understand because the work that was done on my car was under the hood. After weeks of calling them for updates regarding the investigation, they said they could not do anything about it since it was none of the employees after searching them and their cars. They also said, The car may have been left unlocked by one of the workers, and Kia is not responsible for items left in the car. Weeks had gone by of me trying to reach out to them to get that answer, and I did not get an answer until I said I was going to file a police report. My car is not the type of car that someone would think to break into and go straight to the trunk for all of those items. The whole investigation was weird and how the dealership went about it, including ignoring my fathers calls. In conclusion, I would not recommend taking your car to this dealership for work being done!
After four other Kia dealerships refused to take me, a single woman, seriously Kia of Lumberton went above and beyond to help me get a new Sorento. It was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had! My sales associate, Kimberly, was very efficient and got me on the road quickly. Thanks!

The Lumberton Service department was wonderful to us. We had car trouble while traveling through North Carolina. I called and spoke to Tim, one of the service managers. They took us in at 4 PM, and did a diagnostic on the car. Fortunately the part was on hand, and they had us out back on the road at 5:20. They were so friendly and helpful; I wish we had this dealership in Richmond Virginia. Thank you Tim and the rest of the service department.

Decent selection of cars. I was looking for a car but of course, my husband was with me. The salesman would only speak to him, even after both him and I saying multiple times that the car was for ME. He offered my husband to test drive. My husband said he didnt need to, that the vehicle was for me. The salesman ignored that and took him to go test drive the car. I knew it was the car I wanted and had driven one previously. Any question that I asked was answered...to my husband. I also told him what the selling price was and he continued to discuss it with my husband...I was not included in the conversation. I was not impressed. The contract signing was quick and painless but the service of the salesman left something to be desired.

My husband and I went to Kia later than we normally would. About 715pm. We had all intentions on just looking, we had an idea on what used cars we wanted to look at. We did not think we could get something new.The staff were all amazing, especially for us coming in so late. My husband got a nice car that we had no intentions to look at, because we did not think we would get approved. They listened to our wants and needs and met them a lot better than other dealerships ive dealt with in the past.I will be going here when it is my turn to get a new vehicle. I love Kia and there warranties are very good!
Normally (for the last 4 yrs) my service has been good at Lumberton Kia, that until yesterday!The guys in the service department Cody and whomever the other guy was customer service SUCKED! Not welcoming at ALL!Didnt get my tires rotated as requested because they werent gonna keep plundering to find the key (with a snobby attitude). That was a simple phone call to ask me where it was located in my car! Someone then tested my battery located in my trunk and just left the housing off without replacing it.I thank God for Jared, hes an extremely good guy and weve had an incredible relationship for years now. He took the time to make things right by addressing my concerns promptly and with sincere compassion. Jared assured me that my experience today, would not happen again...thanks Jared!
Pretty upset at the moment... went in. Had no major issues except a lack of communication between finance and the sales team. They gave us quote of 75 months and then finance said they couldnt because they didnt run it right.Now here we are 3 weeks later and Im getting a call from Kia finance saying they never paid off the trade in. Seriously??? So now Im getting calls about paying on a car I dont own. You would think a KIA dealership could handle paying KIA financing with ease but nope.... ill update if they handle properly.....

I went to get a recall part put on my sedona. When there they told me they couldnt replace it because the part was not malfunctioning at that time so they couldnt do it. I had a video I had taken and showed them the malfunction but they still wouldnt replace it. I had already called more than a week earlier for them to go ahead and order the part because I was stopped by the police because I didnt have proper lights on my car and my left turn signal did not work. They had the part and I thought they would put it on. But they repaired rear bulbs on the back of my car and quoted me an estimate on getting those replacement parts, which that was not what I was there for. I again inquired about the recall part and again they said they could not fix it. Bring my car back if it completely quits and they could replace it then. I told them about the police stopping me over the malfunctioning lights and signal but to no avail. So unhappily I left and got down the street when the same malfunction happened again. I turned around and went back and said now can you fix it. So they took my car back in and replaced the recall part. My question is if it was under recall what was the big freaking deal why it couldnt be replaced in the first place because I showed them the video more than once of the malfunction. So it should have been fixed, no questions asked, if its on recall then it was recalled for a reason. So not happy about the whole situation from the get go. The customer service I received was not good on my very first visit with them.
This dealer and salesperson lured my son (driving 2 hours) to the dealership then dropped the bombshell they were adding a $4,000 refurbishment fee to the price of the vehicle. Total waste of time! I came in last week because of a safety recall on my 2014 Kia Souls engine. The mechanics in the service department took their time to ensure that the work was done thoroughly to protect my car and my safety. I appreciate the time and attention that they took. I have always been impressed with the service department of Lumberton Kia.
Very on happy ran my credit 3 times credit score dropped 12 point salesman Ben at lumberton Kia told me had a car for me to get paperwork and come in come in the next day and he said that they sold the car and didnt have anything for me to come back in a couple weeks and try again but they would have to run my credit again for it to drop 6 more points do thank you very on happy with this experience

I got excellent customer service recently with Cody in Customer Service!! Took a few days to resolve my issue with my Extended Warranty Company to cover my parts but got it resolved and parts came in for my Kia, installed quickly.
Ben was amazing with showing me different features and different models of cars I was interested in! He ultimately helped me get into the right car for me. Very easy to work with and not overly pushy like other dealerships can be! Definitely would recommend.

Even though a coworker recommended Lumberton Kia my experience was unprofessional and poor. I’m in search of purchasing my wife a new Kia K5 for her birthday. Since the chip issue new car inventory is low. Kia of Lumberton showed to have the exact car online. My wife and I had an appt with Alexis Allen at 1:15pm Saturday for a test drive. I spoke to her 20 min. upon arrival. I get there before I can check in Im stopped by one of there floor managers. He seats us. An hour later still no Alexis so he began our test drive. This where it goes left. First we were told the vehicle was sold but then customer backed out. So no stickers on the vehicle to see price nor were we told. Second we had a trade in so he questioned what I payments were then said the bank not going to approve because you have negative equity in the vehicle. Not knowing my wife had a check in her purse to purchase the vehicle. We didn’t need there financing. We have a fully loaded new 2020 RS blazer to trade in only because my wife like the k5. He insulted me with a low ball price without even accessing the vehicle. Been in the car industry 25 +years so I had did my research and knew the kbb and black book value of the car. We got up and politely declined. A minute later before leaving they increased the offer $5k. We still declined because the whole deal was unprofessional. We felt prejudged by our appearance sadly. They assumed instead of asking questions that I already told Alexis on the phone. The traditional car industry can learn a lot from companies like Carmax and Carvana.
I normally don’t leave reviews, but the lack of communication and willingness to work with a customer is disappointing. My situation is difficult…I understand but the fact of not communicating is just bad business. I’m a buyer just trying to purchase from your company and the salesperson literally doesn’t even try. Get creative, ask me for more money down do something. All I get is NOTHING not a call not a text back. I hope the owner or GM reads this. I’m sure you spend lots of money on sales training. Maybe you should look at hiring some professionals and get rid of these people losing you business. Don’t waste your time there’s other companies out there that would Appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.
Went in this past Saturday and the sales guy in the service dept had me wait 2 hours just to tell me that mt recall part wasnt in after I received a letter in the mail and didnt even bring my car back to the front I had to walk to the back to get it...you can tell a difference when mr.jared isnt there!!! I had an appointment to get my car service on Saturday, July 31st at 9:30am. It was around 12:30pm before I left and this is after 3 times going up to the counter to find out how much longer since I had an appointment. Then to find out on yesterday they didnt do my tire rotation, car wash, or vacuum. I live 45 minutes away from this dealership. Others customers had been sitting there for hours also just for regular service on their vehicles. Very bad service department and I wont be back if I can help it.

The dealers web site and radio ads are misleading. After showing interest in a vehicle that clearly had the Lumberton Kia banner over it in the ad and an agent on the phone telling me it was there. I went to the dealer. Once there, they told me they would only purchase my vehicle if I was to buy a new Kia. And when I ask to see the vehicle that I went down there to look at that is when they told me that vehicle was in fact at an Atlanta dealer. Then to pacify me an agent said he would get back with me if the vehicle was still available. Well Im still waiting and I am totally unsatisfied with the dealership.

Disappointed in service. Would not recommend. I was a loyal customer... returned to buy a second vehicle, and the used car I purchased purchased (2016 KIA) didn’t even have the oil changed! The dealership did not even fill the tank with gas! They said “new management only lets us put $10 of gas in for used cars.” It was embarrassing to see this kind of treatment towards a loyal customer. I will not be back for my future car trade-ins or purchases! Shop somewhere else and do not affiliate yourself with the owner of this dealership.

Very shady business practices. Charge a $1000 doc fee (which is moderate to significantly higher than other dealers in the area) and then add a reconditioning fee as well. The reconditioning fee varies depending on whether you pay cash or finance...how does that make any sense? Dont trust any advertised prices because Lumberton Kia will just tack on thousands in BS fees. Buy elsewhere.

I called over the phone and spoke to a gentleman to make an appointment for a Diagnostic test. On the day of my appointment, no one was aware of me even scheduling an appointment for some reason on your end. I had a seat and waited 2 hours just for a lady at the front to tell me I would have to leave my car another day over night. She explained this to me with an attitude and it was very upsetting. I would appreciate better communication and friendlier service from your staff.

On August 7th, 2021 I went to Lumberton Kia in hopes to buy a 2022 Kia Telluride. They had none of those particular SUVs on the lot, so the salesmen Ben told me that I would have to purchase the car and then come to pick it up at a later date. I agreed. Ben told me that the vehicle that I was getting had a moon roof. When it arrived, it didn’t have one. I still chose to get the vehicle. I came with my finances already pre-approved. However the problem came in when we went to the finance section and I met with Reggie Wells. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted the warranty or not, so Reggie printed out the numbers with the warranty and without the warranty. He had me sign both contracts. He told me that when I picked up the car, I could make my mind up. However, that day, I texted my salesman Ben and told him that I ONLY WANTED GAP insurance. He replied with “OK”. When the vehicle finally came, I did a quick test drive in the dealership parking lot, and left. 5 days later, I get the bill and see that he charged me for all of the warranties which totaled to over $6000. I kept trying to get in touch with somebody at the dealership but no one would get back to me. Kia of Lumberton are practicing shady and unethical business practices. I should have never been given the opportunity to sign 2 different contracts for the same vehicle. The General Manager and the sales manager said that it should have never happened, but somehow it did.I actually love the car, but I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND that you do business with Kia of Lumberton. They are a bunch dishonest crooks. My suggestion is if you want a Kia, go to anybody else but them. They will sit there and lie in your face. In the event that you do go there, make sure you check your paperwork. If you do get financed through them, DO NOT SEE REGGIE WELLS!! Don’t go by what they say, go by what you see in black and white.
Today I purchased a Kia Telluride from Lumberton Kia and my experience was AMAZING! My sales person or rather floor manager was Mr. Hector Ortiz and he really set the standard. When I arrived there, I already knew which car I wanted and I already had my financing but needless to say, I was still nervous about what the experience would be like. After all, no one likes to waste their time at a dealership all day especially on a Friday but Mr. Ortiz went over and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. He made me feel like I was a valued customer.As soon as I arrived, Mr. Ortiz met me at my car to introduce himself to me even though he was in the middle of another sale. I thought wow, how professional. He let me know that he would be my representative but his trainee would take me on a test drive in the mean time. Although I dont remember the trainees name, he was as equally professional and knowledgable about the Telluride.Once back at the office, I was escorted into Mr. Ortiz office, he and his trainee continued to offer my son and I refreshments. He continued to come in and out of the office to check on me and my son to make sure I knew he was moving along and that he and his leadership would be with me very soon. Once Mr. Ortiz was finished with his previous sale, he came in to the office to chat with my son and I to pass the time. I think we discussed everything relevant pertaining to the current climate our society is in these days. I almost forgot why I was there. Really! Plus good conversation always make the time go by fast. Brova and fist bumps to him.Once the sale was complete, Mr. Ortiz gave me a tutorial on every feature included on my new 2022 Telluride. He was so thorough and very knowledgeable about this vehicle. He set up my personalized fun features. He synced my iPhone with the car and he helped me set up the UVO Kia Access app on my phone, which is very cool. He made me feel like I was his ONLY customer and encouraged me to call him if I had any more questions about my new purchase later. Im sure I will.I have to add, while there, I observed Mr. Ortiz interact with the Kia staff, Mr. Jamie Bowers, Mr. Josh, the trainee along with the rest of the Kia team and his personality was consistent. He was/ is up beat, motivated and charismatic. Lumberton Kia has a pleasant atmosphere. The office is clean, new and airy. The entire staff today seemed like they were family and I loved experiencing that today. My 19 year old son came with me today because he wanted to see what it was like to purchase a vehicle and Im so glad Mr. Ortiz gave my son a positive experience.So, if anyone is reading this post and you are thinking about visiting Lumberton Kia, please ask for Mr. Hector Ortiz and Im sure you will experience the red carpet treatment also.Thank you Mr. Ortiz. Had my oil change and state inspection done on Saturday .. got oil change but wasn’t able to get the state inspection done because person doing them was not there so Donald asked if I can come back in Monday to get that done. Came back Monday and Donald took me right in.. got even a tire rotation done too. Was very fast and super friendly !!! and Donald help me get all I needed done !! That’s why I always come back here. Ppl are friendly and you get what you need done fast!! kudos to Donald!!

Another very nice service man brought me my keys and explained everything that was done to my car and told me everything they had checked. Terrible dealership!!! Please beware!!! They are only worried about making a sale and not satisfying the customer or being honest. I had to learn the hard way. Now I gotta pay for a vehicle with a ticking motor that I dont want.
5 stars for Elston at Lumberton Kia! He made the process as easy as it could have been for me. I walked in expecting to leave with my same vehicle but he worked his magic and spent some late hours at work to get me into a brand new reliable vehicle for me and my daughter. Definitely will be dealing with him and Kia for the foreseeable future. Go see elston!!
Manipulative and greedy. Online prices and window stickers states one price and then you get there and the vehicles have a $5,000 dealer mark up. When I asked the manager why they would manipulate people like that, he stated We do what we have to to get you to come in.
I am extremely happy with the service I received. My salesperson took the time to explain each and every feature on my Kia Seltos. He was patient, courteous and even paired my phone via Bluetooth. Getting sick and tired of the run around Kia is giving my mother. Assistant Service Manager is doing his best to help but is being held back by Kia corporate. They know the car has a problem but are unwilling to fix it.All we keep hearing is that its normal for a car with less than 100,000 miles to burn oil at one quart per 1,000 miles. The car burnt over three quarts of oil with less than 7,000 miles on it. Not good Kia, not good at all Kia.
