Before taking a job there. Make sure you know exactly. I mean exactly what you are getting yourself into. Very good store and good deals but you have to be careful especially people of color what was a simple sending of money turned into a nightmare my husband and I went to make a shipment in the western union of this place and theThe manager treated us as if we were criminals, he told us that he did not want us to do business with his store and that if we did not leave the store, the police would call us.My husband showed him his drivers license and pushed him when we went.making the deposit for no reason I dont know how unprofessional people can allow you to be in charge of a store is something that should not be tolerated

The store is nice as are most employees. Would be nice if the manager would not smoke by the East doors sitting on a handicap cart. Would also be greatly appreciated if the bath rooms were actually cleaned daily. They are gross.

Stop & Shop is ok. Its more expensive than ShopRite for sure. I go to Stop & Shop when I dont have so many things to pick up & when I dont want to deal with so many people because it is not as crowded as other super markets. Most of the organic foods are the same price as other supermarkets though.

The employees make it 5 star. All depts.The produce and cold cuts are better than any other supermarket.

I like this place for specific items. I find shopping here enjoyable, no long lines, the staff is very helpful. Its a little pricey, but I have also found great deals. Thats why I try to poke my head in at least once a week. Happy shopping 😁

I like the fact that this store is never mobbed like all other supermarkets. You would think that they wouldnt have much stock or it would be old because it is not as busy as the other places, but everything is full and fresh.

This place is great, I go out of my way to shop here. Always fresh produce.

This is a small Stop and Shop, very clean. The deli staff were friendly and both helped me at the same time. The cashier was also friendly and talkative. It was a very pleasant shopping trip.

Not sure whats going on with this stop and shop. I went here yesterday and couldnt even get a bagged salad. Well actually I found one bag of Caesar( sold out) one box of boca chicken(sold out) no fresh American yellow cheese just one white available. One yogurt that my fiancée wanted. You cant make this up!!!! The stop and shop in Bloomfield always has everything I need. This stop and shop seems like its going out of business any day now. Its sad because overall its a great store. Just unsure whats happening. My fiancée and her friends have expressed the same. Guess Ill now be going to shoprite in Lyndhurst

Very good store. A little pricey but they usually have some good items that are on sale here and there. Nice and empty a lot of the time so its a pleasure walking thru when theres not a lot of people like in a lot of the other grocery stores. Especially now with the pandemic!

I bought fresh muffins there and all four were still raw from the center up.

I found Stop & Shop a complete dream. Found everything I went in the store for and more. Very, very clean. Comparable prices to shop rite. Employees extremely nice and helpful. No lines! Did I mention no lines!!! And the shelves were stocked. Wow.

As far as Stop & Shop(s) go, this a good one. Rarely packed, but that might be my shopping habits. Well stocked on just about everything. Its a bit out of the way for me, but I prefer it.

Nice place. Love shopping there. Just check the dates on stuff and definitely pay close attention to the price at the cashier and check your receipt because in the aisles it says one price but at check out it’s a higher price, especially stuff that’s “on sale”.

I visited this store this afternoon, August 30 . I was shopping the aisles, going the right way when I noticed 2 men shopping, one with mask not covering nose and the other with no mask at all. There were several employees around, no one said anything to them. I cut my shopping trip short and left the store. The Clifton stores have employees at the doors to make sure everyone is wearing a mask. Why not here?Wont be back if you dont take the safety of your customers seriously. Very upsetting.

Mark from the produce department was courteous and surprised me by going out of his way to find what I was looking for. It’s very rare nowadays to find courteous people that care about their job and/or customers. Businesses should recognize that it’s all about customer service and train all their staff accordingly.

I like to store because its clean and less crowded. However, selection is not always great and their prices are sometimes a bit high. I do like their produce department over any of the other supermarkets in the area especially Foodtown. My problem is the self checkouts. I was there today and there were at least four employees standing around doing nothing yet they expected me to check myself out. They had one register open with an actual person. self checkouts are the worst idea the supermarkets ever came up with. I dont work there and I dont get a discount for checking myself out soput your workers on the registers instead of standing around talking and walking back and forth in the store pretending theyre busy. Finally, that stupid robot that you have roaming the store at times unless hes going to tell me where I can find things hes useless.

The location has the prime opportunity to become great. With the new school opening in September they really need to upgrade this store. Salad bar, more options for on the go foods, even a Starbucks would be a great ideas.The store needs some TLC, especially the restrooms, and it will thrive.

The place is good for the basics such as milk, juice, butte, snacks, etc. However their produce section is not good at all.

I come in this store alot. Nice clean store .most of the workers are nice and helpful .I got to know the people that work there and I have to ask why hire new people if the workers you have already are getting hardly any hour.

I used to shop here then we moved. But the place is in great shape !. Shelves full, associates friendly and helpful . Beware the big BLACK Robot roaming the store . Very intimating looking. Have no idea of its functioning. Just extremely wired to see this thing roaming the store !. Thats the only knock ! . Or they get 5 stars !.

I will always recommend this place because this place is well kept, the people are nice, and they have everything almost always in stock. Sometimes a little pricey, but great food (especially the bakery).

The Carlstadt Stop & Shop is larger, but this one is Lyndhurst has a staff thats a bit more friendly. I sometimes stop here on my way home so I dont have to detour from my drive home

Love Stop & Shop!!! Fast, convenient and it has everything I need. Some may argue that this place is a bit pricier compare to its competitors, however, I say its a small price to pay for the convenience of fast checkouts, Deli on site, and the FRESHEST FRUIT around.

This location is a gem. I simply adore the deli staff! Those girls are awesome and friendly. Improved dairy free and gluten free options in a separate section and in dairy aisle.They carry Beyond Burgers!

Staff is friendly and helpful. The guy in bakery, Sunday morning, who cut my loaf of sourdough bread, was very pleasant and upbeat. I should have got his name, so I could compliment him better. His picture is up in bakery.(Their sour dough bread is delicous too.)Great store

It is nice to be regular at your local grocery store. You get to know all the employees and they get to know you. The prices are great also. I am always saving money on my regular weekly purchases through sales and digital coupons.

Amazing store! Their products are sold at fair prices. The items are very easy to locate in this store. Customer service was wonderful.

I purchase a 22-oz Hatfield pork loin on/about 20 Apr 2020 that has a 11 May 2020 sell-by date from the Stop & Shop store located in Lyndhurst, NJ. When I arrived home and opened it, the port was spoiled. When I returned to the store to exchange it, I was informed Stop & Shop has a All Sales Final, No Refund, No Exchange policy. Stop & Shop sold me a defective product : unsafe food. They then violated NJ consumer law by not exchanging a defective product. I called the corporatye office and they confirmed the All Sales Final, No Refund, No Exchange policy. I spoke with the store manager, Joe, who also confirmed the All Sales Final, No Refund, No Exchange policy.

I always go shopping here as it is literally a 1 minute drive from my house. I am really upset though, because you guys stopped carrying 2 milks that I always bought. I liked the horizon pasteurized milk and the elmhurst milked almonds. You dont carry either of these products any more. You only have ultra-pasteurized milks and almond milks with loads of chemicals in them to choose from now :( I would love to be able to come to stop & shop for everything, rather than having to go all the way to fairway to get what I need. Any chance of getting either of these items back?

This location has so many fundraisers that its so annoying. I just want to shop for my groceries without being asked for money every time I walk in or out of the market. Its incredible the amount of times people are fund raising here. I just drive away the moment I see them out there. I already get asked to round up and donate when paying... Sheesh

Well stocked with goods & provisions. Managers and staff are very supportive of customers. Customer service desk staff are great.

Store is clean and organized. Stuff very helpful and nice. Only on deli department take so long to get cold cut. Need to fix the screen for ordering ahead so there is no wait

What happened to all the cashiers? When you come here after work- you just want to get in and get out in a few minutes. Only one cashier? Come on. The self checkout was 20 deep-thats not saving anytime. I wont use them either-just taking more jobs away. And whats with Halloween candy on the shelves in July?

Stop & Shop in Lyndhurst is a nice neighborhood supermarket. I appreciate its cleanliness and helpful staff, especially now during this horrible Pandemic.

The self check out is constantly a pain. Almost everyone needs the attendant for some stupid reason. Attendants always helpful. I imagine self check outs have been installed to make it quick for the consumer. Generally not the case. This is my experience at all stop and shops. I try to avoid them but with only 2 cashiers working I had no choice. I have wanted to complain about this for a couple of years. Never made the time. Glad I finally did.
