I was in there today to see about getting a unit. I thought the staff was easy to work with. It was a pretty regular transaction in my opinion and the people were nice. I give them five stars for that.
Working for U-Haul is a multivariate nightmare and yet the staff at the Lynnway location do a fine job. Customers are difficult and mistakes are made but the excellent staff here keep it together. The service is good, affordable, and, if anything that is resolvable becomes a problem, the staff do what they can to set it right. Keep up the great work! At the end of the day, you have only the quality of your choices and decisions to reflect on.
Worst experience ever. The wait time to pick up a truck that was noted with express check out was more than 40 minutes with more people waiting behind. The self check was not available at all. The unfriendly service employee sweared a lot and complained about U-Haul‘s policies and pricing strategy. Called U-Haul petty. The truck smelled like someone smoked in there. After notifying the staff at U-Haul they sprayed some heavy parfumated chemical. This made it worse and we couldn’t use the truck without leaving the windows open. The mirror was loose and moved with every bump in the street.
So irresponsible! The receipt didn’t match the gas & mileage on dashboard. Thankfully I took pictures and they had the refund me.
My experience interacting with this uhaul was great. One of the best for sure. The manager runs a great crew.
Been there for 3 years and the staff there has always been wonderful and understanding.Fair prices tooWay better than Public storage on the lynnway.

Don’t rent a truck here. The staff was unprofessional and unclear. The manager was extremely rude and hiding from issues that his staff was clearly worried about. Terrible experience.

The woman who helped us was their Assistant Manager. I saw reviews of her being on her phone and I have to correct that. She used her cell phone YES, but at our drop off spot so did the woman working the counter. Its called technology that UHaul now uses to take pictures of the license as well as calculates the mileage. The employees use their phones for THIS reason to they sometimes have to take a call on their own phones YES, but it may be their children/spouse/boss and it does not matter what language they speak. So what if she spoke Spanish become cultured and learn other languages. She was WONDERFUL to my husband and I this week when we had to move unexpectedly. She made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed, even when I forgot some items and had to go back. She took the time to do her job and PROPERLY! I see complaints about receipts.....BIG DEAL! Use your big boy/big girl panties and get with the times today! This woman was amazing running this busy place by herself, managing calls, reserving trucks, all while having amazing customer service. I couldnt thank her enough for everything she did for us!! SO THANK YOUFOR YOUR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND KINDNESSKelli B.
Rented here a few times always a problem. I was blamed for damages to inside of a cargo van. They claim the walls were damaged. We never used the van to move as the lady died. Spoke with management even went bove to Corporate. They go by what the store employees say... Obviously someone didnt do their job... Wow they totally sux!

We’re do I begin? I’m just a simple man who has gone through the ringer in life! It started before I was born! My mother had her first child a boy named Jason in 1979 from what I hear he was LOVED AND CHERISHED because my parents are the the types of people who had God in there life they had FAITH! My parents are simple people who have a love and the love in there hearts that shaped me to be the man I have become in this life! So I haven’t really had a discussion on why they waited so long to have there second child but in 1982 I was born happy and healthy to a degree! Because I was born a addict and I was born with a mental defect but all that aside I was born with the gift of a loving and pure HEART! 💜 I’m guessing my parents waited so long because that was there first child and they had to go through the trials and tribulations that comes with parenting and shaping young minds that will comes with the territory!! My mother got her boy on the first try and then she was ready for a baby girl and that is what she dreamed and prayed for for me to become! She even picked out my name Amy Love Galvin. Unfortunately for her I was born a boy because she and my father just have so much love to give I was happy and healthy so my mother didn’t get the girl she wanted but she had new life and she loved me like I was the girl she always wanted! My parents soon after that tried again but my mother must have lost her faith for a while and another boy was born Craig! I’m guessing she is was going through a lot praying to God why me because her brother was blessed with 3 girls she couldn’t get the boy she wanted and he couldn’t get the boy he wanted but it’s not always what you want its about getting everything you need! So my mother raised us Christian and we went to church and we went to CCD class and we learned about God and our faith! I pretty much the as I asking towards God for the first 14 years of my life! But I believe your either walking towards God or you are walking away from God, but that’s just what I believe! Anyway it didn’t take long after I started high school and my second job which was McDonald’s to finally pick up my first drug which Was Alcohol then marijuana then ecstasy then opioids then cocaine! I don’t want to go through a drug log just wanted to put that out there so people can identify instead of comparing! But I used drugs as much as I could as often I could to try to fill a spiritual void from complex trauma from abandonment issues and other character defects because I was walking away from God he couldn’t protect me anymore I had to go through the pain to be able to grow on my own like a good father does! I started at 14 and used and abused everything in my path till i finally got the sign or spiritual awakening that I’ve been urning for my whole life!! Because the abuse and bullying that I subjected to is was fierce and I had to go through that on a daily basis!! It sucked but it made me stronger mentally because I wanna want sheltered God puts the strongest people through the toughest things in life and when they are made from greatness! So back to the reason I wrote this review because I believe in family and treating people like I want to be treated so I walked into Uhaul on the lynnway because I am currently living on North shore drive in revere right down the street over the bridge CONVIENENCE! I decided to rent a truck and get a storage container because I’m in the process of finding my next residence! So the Gentleman that I encountered was Alex the GM of the store he was patient with me he was caring he took the time to listen look me in the eyes and treat me like family! Then I came back today to get the truck and move my stuff in and I encountered Tasha!! She was amazing also so patient with me and caring and she went out of her way to make my experience at the store memorable!! That is customer service in my eyes because I’m in the business of sales through the entity of automobiles! I treat my customers like family I’m patient and caring and understanding MORE WILL BE REVEALED 🤩

Extremely slow service. Took 45 minutes for me to get my truck even with a reservation. Then the truck was filled with 1/4 tank but the contract said it would be 3/4. Seek a uhaul alternative if you can.

I rented a cargo van from this location.. transaction was quick and easy.. was in and out with the vehicle within 15 minutes without a reservation! .. had to extend a day and called the number.. service was great on the phone too and was no problem to extend a day.. drop off was just as easy and everyone I dealt with was friendly and understanding.. the contact was drawn up with a girl named Stephanie and a girl that she was training.. I would highly recommend this location and using uhaul for renting and convience! Will be using again!
Made a reservation online. Got there and they dont have any trucks. Worse experience ever
I brought the truck back at closing time and the girl didnt want to check me out. 3 days later, I get a bill for 2 extra days on the truck & pads, $70. Theyre dirty here. Watch out and check your bill closely. It was the short young light skinned black girl that intentionally tried to screw me over so watch out for her. And this wasnt the first time I had problems there. A while back, after declining extra insurance both online and at the counter, they still billed me for it. Fortunately as a longtime regular Uhaul customer, I know who to contact at the main office to quickly get these problems fixed.
The most Horrible place. The getto assistant manager First approach when asked if any trucks available was sorry nothing is available we have been extremely busy with the most rudest attitude. When left the store he was leaving in an Uhaul truck after denying a customer of a truck. Then when I took off he stopped parallel to my car and started making comments like. I hope you have a better day He was teasing me after denying me the truck that he was driving back home. Go figure the kind of person Uhaul has working for them as an Assistant Manager.............
Train your representatives better. I reserved a truck on Thursday for Saturday morning, to return end of day Sunday. The rep on Thursday asked if I was going to return it at 8 am Sunday. I told him no, but he didnt change anything on the booking. When picking up my truck, which took 45 minutes due to a line, I had to give my license twice and my credit card information 3 times. Additionally, the 2 different reps that checked me out both asked if I would have it back at 8 am Sunday. I told them no, not until end of day Sunday. They didnt change anything on my reservation either time I said that. Of course, come Sunday afternoon, I get a call saying that the truck is needed for another reservation at 1. Get your act together, Lynnway UHaul.
Terrible, awful, customer service. Went to self check-out my rental van and turns out it was given to someone else who was there, keys in hand, waiting for it. Same van for both reservations! We go to the office to sort it out and have to put up with 45 minutes wait and a LOT of attitude from the employees. We dealt with 3 people, all three were flat out rude and completely unhelpful. DO NOT use this U-Haul office, any other office around will be way faster and efficient
Tried doing the check-in with the mobile app and went all the way up until a van number was assigned, just to realize that the local staff had already given that same van to another customer who was not using the self check-in servics as I was. I, then cancelled the check-in process by indicating in the app that I had not found the vehicle I had been assigned, and the system then assigned a different van, and this second one had also been assigned to a different customer by the local staff already. I, then, went inside to the counter to seek help from an attendant and when I explained the issue I was facing they told me that I was wrong, that the system couldve not assigned the van number I was claiming it had. All that without first looking at neither my phone nor their computer for validation of what I was saying. It got worse when the attendant assigned a different vehicle, yes, this was the 3rd one already, and when Im already in it and getting ready to leave I realized that the gas reading on the dashboard did not match the contract, I come back to the attendant and she comes out and checks on it and says that there are new employees and they must have put it in wrong and that she would fix it for me, and told me to feel free to leave. Given the previous mishaps I was not comfortable leaving at this point without making sure this was corrected first, so I gave one one more look at the contract and at the van number on the key chain, and there was the issue, the attendant had assigned me a van, this the fourth goround, different from what she put put in the contract.After I went back in for a third time, she finally corrected the issue for good. But this whole process that shouldve taken 15 minutes, took over 1 hour.Maybe Uhaul should give a try to either all human and/or no human involvement service, as this was a human caused issue. The attendants were assigning without updating the vehicle inventory in a timely fashion.
I agree with some of these other posts, the customer service was terrible at this Lynn location. Stacey was helping us that day, but was rude and seemed pretty apathetic. She made mistakes and failed to give us important info - which ended up causing problems later that day.I hope someone there reads this and speaks with her - no-one should be treated the way we were treated.

I am very upset as a customer service . I never see a business as this business so poor customer service they dont care about customer service at all . So I try to do a rental today . They telling me to move my park across the street the fans, I has to go around driving and then walking are you kidding me Im 8 pregnant, yes of course they made me move . By the time that I was moving I saw a spot and I try to get in there . And all the sudden this guy comes out and hes like thats my spot, I didnt see his name in there at all . And then this guy hes asking to the U-Haul employers to make me move that I really want to have a rental by that time not at all . People like this doesnt deserve to be working for those company if theyve they dont know how to to get customer service . If they treat a customer service like that they need to run out without business . Wish if I can give you zero
After 15 minutes of waiting they finally told me that propane tank refill station doesnt work,why dont you just put a sign that would inform people so they dont waste their time.
This is the worst run business I have ever dealt with—waited in line for over an hour to get my truck and had an online reservation. Be sure to budget over an hour for any transaction here.
