House remodels do not always go to plan and mine was an odyssey filled with trials (an unresponsive architect) and tribulations (delayed permits, issues with the health department) but the one constant bright light guiding the project to ultimate success, and helping me keep my sanity, was Katerina, of KB Design.Working with Katerina was a joy. She is a great listener and very attentive to what you want out of a project. Starting with an initial design consultation and some ‘homework’ for me to go through and flag photos of different design styles (what I liked, what I did not), Katerina was able to get an idea of my personal aesthetic tastes and start to put together a vision for what my house could become. She then guided the process from start to finish, working very closely with my chosen contractor to get the details just right, and working with me constantly to refine design choices, pick out furniture and appliances, finishes and colors, and ensure that her vision for me and what I wanted in the end were converging to a great outcome.I could not be happier with the end result.For anyone looking for a designer to help with a remodel project, I highly recommend going through the initial design consultation at KB Design and seeing for yourself what Katerina brings to the table.
